I have seen Fantasia once live (visually by Jumbotron lol). There were other entertainers there, but she sung and entertained like hardly any other! I celebrated with her the God of our salvation at the end of her performance. She does NOT disappoint!

I could be reaching but I got a feeling Fantasia’s team probably thought it wasn’t a good look that she walked right by the only performer who’s been compared to Tina Turner. So throwing out a dm to Beyonce for a collab could’ve been her PR team’s idea cleaning things up. Just like how Taylor Swift took the pic with Celine Dion to help clean up her carelessness of not acknowledging her when she literally took her award out of Celine’s hands…. if the Beyoncé & Fantasia collab ever happens, I think Oprah would be the one to help it along since she respects both women. And it seems Fantasia’s stardom has gotten much higher ever since Oprah chose her for The Color Purple…as much as I love Jennifer Hudson doing tributes, it was AWESOME seeing Fantasia getting the *huge* Grammy gig!!
It was best that Beyonce not be included in Fantasia's tribute to Tina as people would have made it about Beyonce, as opposed to Fantasia, who was actually performing the tribute.

Normally, Mariah doesn't collab with powerhouse vocalists either except the one time she did with Whitney, and most recently JHud and Ariana. But yeah, can't think of any powerful female vocalists Bey collaborated with other than JHud in Dream Girls and Lady Gaga in Telephone & Videophone. Maybe Alicia Keys and Shakira...but it's not like their vocals are in A tier.

Fantasia clearly has an awesome team behind her. Although The Color Purple supposedly flopped, her team clearly made sure to keep Oprah close. I dnt think it was a coincidence that Oprah was chosen to be the one to introduce Fantasia’s performance and be at the rehearsals. VERY STRATEGIC. If she gets the collab with Bey, her stardom will definitely rise even more! It reminds me of how Michael Jackson was in The Wiz that HUGELY flopped, but the movie helped MJ to get close to Quincy Jones. Their work relationship after The Wiz helped create the *timeless classic* Thriller album… I’m definitely rooting for more doors to open for Fantasia👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
