The beginning part is kinda relatable. Don’t ya just hate it when you hear something outside annoying you, but when you go to check it stops? Like it only happens when you aren’t looking?
You are so right. Just the other night while I was sleeping, the neighbors were being too loud. (It was the end of a block party, so everyone SHOULD have cleaned up by then.) I got up to the window, checked on it, nothing. I heard nothing but crickets and cars passing for the rest of that night.
I kept hearing Shrek and his friends singing. I look, found nothing. Second time, nothin’. Third time, Shrek roared at me and ate my liver.

So the Evil Queen was so disappointed by the Toys R Us "no-refunds" policy, that she put a curse on the entire company, eventually bringing it to ruin. Makes sense.
