    Been there and want to go back very badly eventhough we only ate lunch there and drove through a few times. Went to some surrounding areas including Johnson Canyon ghost town where some episodes of Gunsmoke were filmed, and the pet cemetery near by. Close enough to the Vermilion Cliffs for me and Snake Gulch. I can't say enough about the areas near by. Great vid and thanks for sharing!

      Thanks, JC. I do like traveling, especially "road trips" by car, and it is fun to show some of it off.

    I've been receiving your excel newsletter for years now and its always been enjoyable reading your observations and travels at the start of each one. I live in Spain but am originally from the UK, back there I follow the travels of Martin Zero, Paul and Rebecca Whitewick and a few others. Look forward to seeing where you go to. Good luck!!

    I need to take my son to grand canyon next summer. This sounds like a great place to stay as our home base.

    There is a great veterinarian office in Kanab. I adopted several dogs off the Reservation/Vermillian Cliffs area over the years and that vet office is my first stop on the way back to Colorado.

    Even though I live in Alaska (which has been incredibly snowy this winter) I have been in Kanab a couple of times while heading to the Grand Canyon. I found several interesting Geocaches in Kanab. One of my favorites had to do with the plaques telling about the movie stars who have been there.

    • @travelingwithallen8637
      @travelingwithallen8637  2 года назад

      There are quite a few of the plaques--I think the last count I saw was 119.

    Hi allen
    nice video 😉What do you think about Cedar city? i hesitate between this two city for visiting Zion and Bryce canyon, thanks for your answer if you read my question ;-)

    • @travelingwithallen8637
      @travelingwithallen8637  2 месяца назад

      Cedar is a nice place, definitely larger than Kanab. However, there is mountain range between Cedar and the national parks, so you'll spend more time driving than you would if you stayed in one of the towns (like Kanab) that are east of the mountains.

    Thanks for posting. I’ve been passing through there for almost 50 years and it’s my local resupply point at Glaziers and Honey’s for food. They have a wonderful city park too. I am going to slow down the video and take a closer look at your list of the movies filmed there. Is that list for Kanab alone or does it include the Paria movie set west of town as well?

    • @travelingwithallen8637
      @travelingwithallen8637  Год назад

      It includes Paria. The list was actually compiled by the tourism board/Chamber of Commerce in Kanab.
