I’ve seen videos where people seem to never make a mistake, and they always have a clean kitchen even when they’re cooking. That’s not real life. The pizza still looks good no matter what. All of your dishes look good.

My family owned a restaurant in Detroit called 'Capri's' in the early '70's and our specialty was the Detroit style square pizza. It lived up to the name of THE best pizza in town. We served authentic Italian pasta's and salads, it was all mouth watering. I worked in the kitchen on Monday's and loved the smells of all the food that was being prepared. When the place burned down,

I LOVE the variety of recipes you share with us, but the thing I love THE ABSOLUTE MOST is that your stovetop always looks brand new clean! I can't stand to watch recipe videos where the glass stove top is greasy and caked with a months worth of food. I see it WAY TO OFTEN! So thank you for that Mel! ❤

This GA girl loves pecan crusted chicken,(also fish) now I need to make your peach sauce. I make a jezebel sauce that has peach preserves in it. I got the biscuit mix after I saw you make them. So good going to stay on my staples list 👍

Oh my word, Mel, u blew my mind with these recipes! I especially love the Chicken Dijon Pecan recipe, and pecans are so healthy for us, but Dijon is one of my favorite condiments. Fun fact: Ukraine is one of the major producers of mustard seeds, along with Canada (they have to grow in an unusually cool environment) but with the war in Ukraine & the wildfires in Canada, there's gonna be a shortage of mustard worldwide. The French are going to go crazy, bc they've made mustard since the 1600's! I'll still pay outrageous prices, but thankfully have quite a few jars in my Pantry. I know people in Michigan swear by Detroit Pizza, but my favorite is still Chicago deep dish, but I'm looking forward to expanding my recipes so Detroit is now on the list! Btw, that crust didn't look burned to me just well done!

Praying u stay cool somehow, Eileen! I've seen some horrible heat Temps in TX on the news! U best come up to Michigan, we're hard pressed to get to 80° most days & I LOVE IT! The big lake is getting to 70° & that's warm for a lake that size, until we get an "upwelling" of cooler waters (it might drop 15-20 degrees). Sending u some cool breezes & hugs! 💨💨💙💙🌊⛱
I've used Bisquick as a bases for a pan pizza, just pre-bake it for 10-12 minutes befor putting toppings on

My Mom always tried to perfect it - she used bacon grease on the crust & it was close to the restaurants!

Hey Mel. I make that with just a 9x13” aluminum baking pan and push the dough up the sides then I push the dough down with my finger tips to make divits in the dough. Let it rise fo about 16-30 30 mins then add all ur other stuff. And the cheese that gets pushed to the sides of the pizza are the greasiest best I use a lot of butter garlic melts down on the top of the dough becor I put my topping on it. I cook I lower temp so the thick crust cooks through then at the end depending on how the top looks I may put it on broil for a min or 2

Try flipping your crust over before adding the toppings. That way the ‘raw’ side will be in contact with the skillet :). Looks delicious!

I love the Jammin Jams! I ordered several kinds online and haven’t been disappointed. My favorite so far is the Tropical Splash. I took it to the beach for our family vacation and once I tasted it I was having second thoughts about sharing it! My whole family loved it and it only lasted about 2 or 3 days. Time to get more!!

Note: you can cook your chicken to 155° and set it aside until it reaches 165. Or pull it out at 160° and wait until it reaches 165°. The purpose being it will be even more tender then if you pull it out at 165°. And it will be just as safe as if you waited for it in the oven.

I've had the Motor City pizza many years ago, and it was black in areas on the bottom best I can remember. The taste was awesome.
Knocked it out of the park with this one! I can't wait to try the chicken. Except, of course, I'll be using Oklahoma pecans! I think I'll use my homemade orange on the cream cheese. My husband loves smoking cheese. Have you tried smoked pizza? Fantastic! My husband will slightly freeze the pizza, so it has plenty of smoke time. The grandkids will fight over the last piece.

I accidentally got less fat cream cheese to make my cheese ball for Christmas. ( This is how I grabbed the wrong kind. ) Someone had condensed down the boxes and had mixed the 2 kinds together. Anyways, it was horrible. It turned into cheese slush. UGH 😩. One of those faux pas that the family will NEVER let me live down. LOL

Me and Patrick were discussing that and you can do it in the oven but it won't have the smokey flavor.
Sorry Mel it was supposed to be that the chicken looked good both with and without the sauce. I meant that the pizza also looked good both the first and the second time. I love the dark crust like that even if it is a little burnt.

It did, I had the one breast left over and I cut it in half and I ate half on top of a salad and the pecans just made it even better on the salad!

What would you suggest to use if you don't have that seasoing or a smoker for the cream cheese. I've had the cream cheese with pepper jelly.
You can use any grilling season you like, we've used a lot of different ones and we just seem to like the grill ones best. And me and Patrick were talking about how to do it in the oven and I guess just low temp like we did in the smoker, it just won't have the smoke flavor. I don't have alot of experience with the liquid smoke but it might give some of the smoke flavor to it. Thanks so much for watching!

🤣❤️ Honey, it's literally the recipe on the back of the bag, just the mix and buttermilk. (It's kinda sticky so I use a little less milk than it calls for) The biscuit mix makes ALL the difference 👌 It's Southern Biscuit Company Formula L , I've found it at Kroger, Food City, Food Lion and Walmart and its not too expensive.
