My antenna wire snapped on an activation this year as well in -20c. Still managed the activation, though. Some wire really does not like the cold. 73 de VE6JTW. Also subbed great content!
@LB4FH I use a trapped multi band efhw, It snapped at my 2nd trap so I was able to quickly call cq and get my 4 cw contacts. I started carrying my 2m with me again after that.
Good to have flexible antennas for those events@@CdnRockiesRadio. I usually go for wire binding like this, or use a backup antenna that I always have in the backpack. 2m is unlikely to give me any contacts where I live
Love the drone footage. Nice adapt and over come to fix the wire snap and activate.
Thank you 😊
Great cinematography! Thanks!
Thank you! 73
TGIF my friend.
Thanks for the another First Class Radio Video!
Thank you, and have a nice weekend!
Amazing footage and a great activation!
Thank you 🙂

Thanks 😁
The thin wires go really brittle when it gets colder like that, especially the aluminium ones. Good thing you managed to save the activation!
