Thanks for showing your ideas! I like how you used post-it notes to write down your ideas! I like how Mariane Cresp on her channel for her how I plan to use the hobonichi weeks 2024 planner video, photocopied some pages to test out different layouts. I think I like a planner or notebook for maybe fitness/meals and routines/goals.
As a fellow fringe-haver, thanks for the reminder to add a trim to my monthly task list 🥲😅 Loved this so much - simple, utilitarian setups are so satisfying!
I have a very similar setup to you! Appointments/events on the left, weekly task list on the blank page. I do all of my tracking online (budget, spending categories, books and games etc), so my notes pages are going to be for general notes. Pen/ink testing, notetaking at events, any random info I want to jot down. Often my planner is the only paper I have on me so it comes in handy
@@KaitlinGreyhi Kaitlin! I wanted to share this cute update. we decided to exchange gifts this past weekend and he absolutely loved the brass pencil!! one question he had was how to sharpen the pencil since it won’t fit in a regular pencil sharpener. do you have any tips? I noticed the refills don’t come pre-sharpened either. hahaha… 😅
@lil.ikuraa I’m so glad your grandpa loved it! Thank you for the update!! Ok so I found using one of those smaller pencil sharpeners, I wish I could add a photo but I’ll describe it my best lol, you know the small plastic ones that you need to sharpen the pencil over the trash bc they don’t have a holder for the shavings, that’s the kind I use! I bet you could also find a smaller sharpener but I find that works pretty well without buying something expensive!
I’d like to see an actual example of the pages filled out to get a better idea of what it will look like. Are you just planning on using it to track tasks or will you be adding appointments and events too. Thanks
Since this guy has a lot of work info I won’t be flipping the whole planner but I can definitely show a couple pages in future vids to show how im using the pages
I am a crazy planner lady this year. Hobo HON for everything planning and journaling. A weeks for health and wellness. A Sterling Ink Passport for EDC with a booklet for collections. And still working on the logistics for language learning and my Hebrew/Jewish studies. My last two planners arrived yesterday sooooooo I'll be making all my final decisions this week. However, I may need to add a second weeks for work since I interview for a new position this week as well. Oy. LOL At least I have most of it planned out. Can't wait to see the full set up in Jan!
I use my weeks to manage my life. everything like appointments, events, health stuff like sick days or random headaches days, kid's main life events, meal planning.. the only thing I don't use is tracking. I don't know why this is so hard for me to do!
Just wondering what toronto stationarys would i be able to find a lot of products/accessories for hobonichis? I'm just getting my first weeks and I have no clue haha
I used my gel pen in my cousin (sarasa 0.5mm in brown grey) and I didn’t have any issues. I used a spare piece of paper if I wanted to flip my page right after writing so the ink wouldn’t transfer to the opposite page
I have the feeling i´m the only man in your fanbase... but as an architect i´m very interested in your handwriting. would you consider talking about how handwriting can affect the overall setup?

I love the „no frills“ set up. Thanks for sharing and I’ll be looking forward to the flip through if you do so 😊
We appreciate your dedication and commitment. Keep working hard.

haha its an essential monthly task! Thank you so much Ellie

Thanks for the video. I really like an yearly task idea! 😌
this is stunning, i love how you've set it up ❤❤
Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing! I’m going to try the alistair method. I have the exact same hobo weeks as you for 2024
I'm going to have to try some of my other pen bodies with my Sarasa Dry refills. What a good idea!
I've used the yearly index for tracking my PTO for two years now and it's worked great for me.
That’s such a good idea!
I’m using a A5 common planner this year for everything and have a hobo cousin for school. Thanks for sharing your set up 🙂
Hi Kaitlin! Random update haha. My local stationery shop had the brass pencil extender and refills so I bought one to gift my Grandpa! 😊
The best update! I hope he likes the pencil!

I'm planning in a Weeks Mega and plan to do so again in 2024.
Hello! Thanks for sharing! Can you please link the pen refills you use? I didn't see that in the description. Love your setup!
Of course, here’s the link: bit.ly/3Ey46t2
Thanks for sharing your ideas!! What's the card with the curved edge at the back of the cover?
Thank you! It’s a card that comes with the planner

Thanks for sharing your idea! Do you have any tips to put the weeks into the proctor without bent the cover? Thanks ahead!
Hmmmm, idk if you consider this bending but I pushed the cover back on itself a bit, put in both sides and then slide it in
Bend the cover!!! I promise you won't hurt it and it's actually meant to be inserted into the cover that way. :)
What pencil are you using?! I love the metal cap!
It’s the traveler’s company brass pencil!
What pencil do you use in this video?
It's the travelers company pencil in brass
Just wondering what toronto stationarys would i be able to find a lot of products/accessories for hobonichis? I'm just getting my first weeks and I have no clue haha
I believe Wonder Pens has a good amount of hobonichi stuff!
A Hobonichi soon to be newbi, I thought you could not use gel ink in these planners.
I used my gel pen in my cousin (sarasa 0.5mm in brown grey) and I didn’t have any issues. I used a spare piece of paper if I wanted to flip my page right after writing so the ink wouldn’t transfer to the opposite page

Sure! I’d be happy to chat more about my writing :)
Is that the mega?
No, its the regular one (I think there's around 70 notes page)
Love this video! What is holding your pencil? I'm in love!
Thank you! It’s a travelers company brass pencil, I have a link in the description if you want to check it out :)
2:13 how's the writing experience of the uniball pen? I wanted to get one but their refills are hard to get in my area 😔
I don’t use the refills, just the body! I have a sarasa 0.5mm gel pen refill in brown grey which has been my go to pen for the last couple of years :D
Gel work good in Hobonichi?
