    Man.... Absolutely beatifull accurate and brilliant build... That oficier is very well painted ... And all the panels have a great and succesfully well done weathering! The final cape of coat makes the paint look so realistic.

    Very beautiful model. This is one of my favorite planes. I recently built the same kit from monogram. I really loved building it and all the parts fit in fairly smoothly. I did have to spend some time with the actual camo and masking off sections of the airplane. But overall it was a very good kit. 👍

      Thank you, much appreciated, and yes, it's a great kit, I loved building mine! It does take time to build a model and get a decent result, never rush a build! Cheers 👍🙂

    Fantastic build Martin,the figures really give it life,and they are very nicely painted,that V1 must have caused a hell of a lot of drag and the poor pilot,must have been compensating with the rudder pedals to take off,and fly straight,bet he was glad to drop the bugger!Lol.

      +Lee Chambers Thanks for watching and commenting Lee, greatly appreciated. I'm happy you like how she turned out in the end! Yes, it must have been a ball ache and a worrisome moment when taking off with all that weight pulling the aircraft on the starboard side! It would have been better centralized beneath the fuselage, but if they did that...they'd have to put leg extensions onto the undercarriage! Cheers : )

    Yes Officer that's him, the one in the "Radar O'Riley cap". I see how that "greenhouse" would screw you up, it does have an odd shape. You could have adorned the 111 with winter camo, the KG out of the Netherlands, that did attack the U.K. wore it, but I think this scheme looks meaner. Excellent build, just the right amount of weathering also. Congrats! - Bob

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  8 лет назад

      +bob dyer Thanks Bob, much appreciated mate and glad you like my choice of finish! I thought that it looked mean, too, with the black underside. For an old kit, I really enjoyed the build! Cheers : )

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  8 лет назад

      +Malcolm Hood Ha ha....exactly what I thought, too! I personalized my build! Maybe I should copy Alfred Hitchcock who personalized his movies by making a brief cameo appearance in all of them...you have to try to spot him in each of his movies...he might be walking a dog down the street in the background, or standing in a crowd of onlookers at a murder scene. But instead...I use the letter M somewhere on each build?! That might require after-market decals for marking that include that letter, though?! Happy you liked the build and thanks for watching! Cheers : )

    Bravo Martin!!! An outstanding reveal. I like that you went with the white band even though I voted for Winter, I'm glad you went with the classic HE-111 "look". I like the addition of the figures in the aircraft as well as the one outside, very cool indeed.
    I also always enjoy the history and dimensions of the aircraft.

    Well......another model who receives the breath of life from a great modeler...!
    So sad seeing some of these models not reaching their intended purpose...TO BE COMPLETED AND FINALIZED..!!
    Sometimes, (in between projects) some of these models end up on the Goodwill shelves or worse...( in the trash can )......
    Very nice build...!!

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  8 лет назад

      Thanks for watching El Diablo and for your kind comment, much appreciated! Yes, you are correct, there are so many occasions where some modelers will give up half way through their builds and either trash them or store them incomplete. Some modelers will start on many different models, too, and never complete them....I'm the opposite...I cannot start another model until I have completed the one I am working on. Cheers : )

    • @eldiablo4131
      @eldiablo4131 8 лет назад +1

      Hey...!! I'm the same way here..!!
      I have set a STRICT rule for myself, when it comes to building plastic models...NOT ALLOWED to touch (or start) another project (no matter how long it takes..!!) until the current project gets completed; checked out and making sure IT received the same attention and TLC given to the previous one...My EYES and HANDS could be "SALIVATING" while contemplating the building of my new Tamiya 8ton 20mm FLAKVIERLING Sd.kfz7/1; when I'm still in the middle of building my Airfix 1/72 IL-2 Sturmovik...!! Thing is: I could open boxes up, browse, smell and admire the sweet styrene pieces..BUT NO CUTTING OF PARTS ALLOWED.!!..otherwise; I'll be loosing a lot of precious time and money; investing in all the excitement and research, just to drop the thing a few hours later, then seeing the model getting thrown in the trash can..!!!! Not me...!!!
      True; we live in the land of plenty; I could repeat buying the same model later....but the magic would never be the same...So; Ho..! beloved styrene brothers; BEHOLD..!! When TEMPTATION arrives; temptation always arrives with it's own solution...EXIT..!! You can choose to stay and do whatever you are contemplating on doing or JUST choose getting out of Dodge...!! So; hang tight, stay put, stay strong and don't give in the TEMPTATION...!! ( Ha, ha...!!!...this turned into a sermon...!!) Later friend...Salud...!!

      I don't have the correct set up to do that...I'd have to buy good lights and a overhead mount for the camera. Maybe something in the future when I've moved into my new home that we just bought....but that won't be until April after contractors have done what we want doing to the place before we go into it. Martin, a great job! I would like to state something about your Hawker Fury. The type used by the Spanish had a different landing gear than the British type. I think you did a very fine job on the painting, but like you I liked it better when it was not weathered. You are a great modeler. I enjoy your work!

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  8 лет назад

      +vincent fiore Thanks Vincent, I'm happy you liked the final result, and as you would have noticed, I decided to go with a white tail band. This is incorrect for this aircraft and so are the decals, for the white band indicates that it would have operated in North Africa, wherein no V1's were used, the V1 was used against England. The markings were for a H-6 version and not a H-22, which would have carried two torpedoes beneath the fuselage for anti-shipping missions. The reason the decals are wrong is because this kit is 22 yrs old and the decals disintegrated as soon as I dropped them into water. My friend gave me the newer sheet of H-6 version decals, that didn't include the 24 stencils that were on the original sheet intended for the V1 "Doodle-Bug". So, the V1 is without markings and because I built this model through the Christmas period, I decided to have some fun with the decals and mix them around to spell out 1H+AM...for who doesn't love a juicy Spriral HAM at Christmas time! The markings 1H+AM are for a Junkers Ju 88 Bomber, which just happens to be the build that I am presently working on. Regarding the landing gear on the Spanish Fury: you're correct, but I was aware of this and if you watch my Spanish Fury videos, in each one, there is a image of a Spanish Fury (of which they only had three of them) clearly showing the modified struts without the braces that the RAF and SAAF versions had. But...try finding a 1/48 scale kit or larger that has been designed for the "Spanish Republican Air Force"...there aren't any. There is only one kit, the Airfix kit, that has been manufactured as a British version with two sets of decals; one for the RAF and one for the SAAF. Because there are no kits out there in 1/48 scale except this one, after-market decals for the "Spanish Republican Air Force" do not exist, and so, I painted all the stripes, the tri-color rudder and roundels onto the aircraft. It wasn't a serious build as the He 111 wasn't...built just for fun. Also, the Group Build I entered it into is just for fun with no prizes to be won.Cheers : )

    Hey bud I'd like to get a kit of that aircraft but maybe not that exact one ! You did that one well seems like pro modeller had problems with there kits back then ! I've gotten a few older kits from model swap meets back in the 90' s and had issues with the fits on most all ! Do- 217 ju- 88 s. And so on ! They all came with photo etch parts tho ! I have a Wellington 1\48 right now that never got finished but it's a different manufacturer classic airframes kit . Paid $ 7 bucks for it ! Put about 23.00 into it and just stopped ! First and only model I never completed ! Just disappointed ! Anyway your build looks good !

      Thanks Kevin, much appreciated. Have a look around on Ebay and you'll probably find a few kits similar to this one to choose from. You shouldn't give up on the Wellington, you'll feel much better getting it completed....I can't leave a kit unfinished, it would drive me crazy. Cheers : )

    well built but unfortunately the same is affected by design errors. the H 20 series had both the different glazed section of the nose and the ventral gondola with the exhaust engine, also the lateral ventral arms and the gondola were different!!!

    You know on a good summer day, I can climb to 17,000 in 20 min in a glider. Granted I weigh in at 812 lbs.

    Lol. I have it staring back at me any time I sit down and mess with any builds ! Waiting for me ! It's overall night bomber black with interier green cockpit and extra little stuff in the nose ! Sorry I goofed ! My apologies ! It wasn't a Wellington it is a Bristol blenheim mk v rear turret was a bear for this build and no nose chin mount either ! Landing gear was very bad fit ! Definitely not using decals if it ever finishes with it !
