Even though you have all the same animals (for the most part) and it's repetitive content, I never get bored of watching each and every Reptile room tour! Just goes to show how amazing of a collection you have 😊
haha its definitely repetitive, but I think its neat seeing the incremental changes to the room. Hopefully everyone else does as well. Thanks for the kind words, can't wait to see how it changes in the coming months!
Was this a troll? All I have is boas and blood and carpet pythons and colubrids. They have dozens different species. Managing this is basically rocket science it takes well over ten years to even be able to keep such a robust collection.
I too remember watching as he started from his room. While I don't have a "reptile room". I do have several animals. I just find the enclosures aesthetics pleasing. Relaxing too. Ppl have plants in their homes, I have ecosystems. :)
I'm so excited to have found your channel as I'm in Ontario also!! Almost every reptile enthusiast I've enjoyed on YT seems to be in the lower US, or in another continent. I'm still getting thru this video😅 lol love it ....yes give your AZ. king snake a naturalistic enclosure ...he's so pretty n know he's very special to you
Sheldon was the reason why I started watching this channel in 2018 I'm really surprised to hear he passed away tortoises are supposed to live for decades. Sorry about that man
He truly was the best and it is a devastating loss :( He was 10 yrs old, definitely should have lived much, much longer. I really wish I had some answers.
Excellent video as always! Can i ask what species of ficus you have growing at the top of your tachydromus enclosure? Looks like it's variegated and i NEED it.
I'm sad to hear about sheldon. I tried going on your insta since in the video you said you explained more about the situation but I couldn't see any caption written. I don't know if instas just being weird and not loading but I won't push you to explain further.. I'm just curious to know how he passed
In short, there were zero clinical signs, just was lifeless in his enclosure. I am going to make that video talking about the year and will fill in the gaps in that video. Should be coming in a couple of weeks!
How was the iridescence on the king cobra back in Florida? In your opinion u think cobras is more beautiful than boas? For me elapids can be more “impressive”I think Americas boas and are truly the most beautiful and impressive in the world. I’ve been driving myself mad with baby snakes in my collection. Last month, I have had five pythons die on me. One accidentally offed herself. There’s three more that are not eating and wasting away. One died right after eating…. Two that died were my only macklots pythons… Went from achieving mass-success all year to sudden total disaster all in a week. Been hard on myself but I have 30 snakes thriving. I over collected like crazy this year and actually had to downsize enclosures because my baby snakes are just hurting themselves falling off perches. I’ve been injured the past 3 months This is stressful af! Besides the impulse buying, I’m lucky I listen to your videos they cover little details that have literally saved me multiple times now.
Uhhh the kings are nice I didn't notice a whole lot of iridescence though. Sorry to hear about your python issues of late. Glad to hear you are slowing down and addressing the issues that have arisen. That's really neat to hear my videos have helped. May I ask how they helped?

That's awesome to hear! And ya I agree I'm sure more people would watch the room tours if they were a bit shorter but I feel like that are useful to the hobbyist that are really looking for information and process.
For the big trips like Colombia, unfortunately Bree isn’t able to join me on those so she looks after the animals. Other smaller trips, we higher a friend to pet sit
Quick question.,where do you usually buy your medial sponge filter from for your substrate?I see listing's on ebay and amazon for 1inch thick by 12inch by 72inch for $25-30.is that a good price or do you know somewhere else online I could buy from?
Unfortunately I buy mine from a fish shop a little ways from me. I know there are some listing online but I have never bought it so I can't vouch for it.
@ that’s not bad, I expected worse. I suppose it would be cheaper to run a space heater so the entire room has a warm ambient temp instead of trying to just heat individual cages
Hey Mike! Love your videos. Just a heads up, Uromastyx lizard should not have any water bowls in their enclosure. They are very sensitive to humidity and that can create a fungus that will effect their respiratory system and cause infection and death. They get their water from the food they eat. Keep that in mind please. I volunteer at a zoo so, if you have any questions just ask me. Cheers!
Carefull people..... he says they do this full time on top of full time jobs. That's not a good way to say it. I've been in this 40 years and now just keep pets, no more breeding. A legit full time job is big enough, if you are working 8 hours a day then doing this 8 hours a night your not living, the animals will suffer and you will suffer. Don't do this unless you are blessed to work part time or don't have to work, or, this is legit your full time job.
@ I just start to worry that some ppl will think well if these guys can do it, we can do it..........not always true. Classes, health, new relationships, other family needing you, job changes, so many things can hit and now you have to find homes for tons of animals. Just hope for everyone to be careful. Life can get crazy.

Thanks Chantal. Truly heartbreaking :(
It does actually look like potatoe its potatoe vine i think in the darts viv. Beautiful set ups
Ya it kinda does tbh.
Can you make a video on the diplodactylus galeatus like care and such? Love the videos keep up the good work
At some point I'd like to but I would like to produce and raise some babies before making a care guide for them.
I would definitely buy a baby or two
What about naming the turtles maple and syrup? Lol they are kinda pancake shaped and you are in Canada 😂
That might be what I end up going for haha

hahah that would be funny
2:47 what is that plastoc pack?
Those are mite packs, I was using them to control thrip populations, and too have some other available for the babies.
You guys should get some East African armadillo lizards 👀
That would be awesome, definitely not in the budget though hahah
Hey Mike how are you going bro I haven't watched your videos for a whaile

What did you use on the thrips? I have a massive thrip problem in my crested geckos bio active!
