Something about Tonk with an orange Adidas hat talking about Warrior with Nickelback blaring in a restaurant is oddly satisfying
Respect, to Honky Tonk man. I'm so tired of the guys that want to talk bad about Warrior. I was one of those kids that got it. He was awesome! Later in life when I was going through some hard times. I discovered his injections inspiration videos on RUclips. It helped me through a lot. Rest in peace Warrior!
I enjoy his matches. I loved watching the bigger guys like him n hogan. Very entertaining
Honkytonk man is such a nice guy. He makes much more sense than some of the others I won't mention. He might not have understood what Warrior had at the time but I think he gets it now.
Even sitting down eating dinner Honky Tonk man is still cool talking about wrestling, I could listen to him all day
I was thinking the same thing
Not only a first class musician and worker but a natural born raconteur too.
Many strings to that guitar bow of Honky
Honky’s a great guy, very respectful to the memory of the Warrior.
We will all miss the Ultimate Warrior. He was a good man, and he was special. R.I.P.!!
@Colt Hoffman Did he say the N-word like Hogan? O.W.N. for life!!
@Colt Hoffman non of what he said offends me, RIP Warrior.
Why say "we will all miss you" like if it just happened. He died years ago
@Colt Hoffman "Shit wrestler who hurt people" he wasn't and didn't. "Piece of shit in and outside of the ring" based on what exactly?
Speak for yourself.
Ultimate Warrior was actually the only wrestler I never expected to pass on so soon. He was retired and seemed very content with how things were going in his life. He was so young too. RIP Warrior
You could not have picked a worse place to film this
Lolll
You mean your home???
Should have done the interview out in the parking lot.
Ya he might aswell filmed it on a ferris wheel lol
@@cfhcowboy9292 it's funny because his name is ferris
Even with Warrior's lack of wrestling skill, this guy knew how to entertain an audience. Watch any one of his fights and when the Warrior's music came on, the entire crowd went nuts! From running full steam to the ring or giving a crazy ass interview, the warrior knew how to put on a show for the fans.
Yeah he was just a shit person tho
@@GodyP shit why?
His entrance was entertaining. Lol. The guys who worked with him had to work extra hard to make it a good match.
@@kca49 wrestler's are always badmouthing each other. WARRIOR was entertaining...bottom line.
@@harrykadaras9459 His entrance and the spectacle of his intensity was entertaining, yes. But he was a dangerous and terrible wrestler.
Great to hear Honk Tonk Man like this. Such a nice guy and have nothing but respect for this. He was such a heel in WWF at the time you never saw this side of him
He's cool, he's cocky, he's bad
He's comin' to your town,
And now he's got cataracts
Nice to hear someone talk good about the Warrior.Whether you liked him or not,if you were around at that time,he really had something that made the fans go wild for him and made wrestling very exciting at that time.Props/respect to Honky Tonk Man. 👍
I always appreciate HTM comments. Every interview I hear his stories always match up. Glad to hear someone finally has something nice to say about Warrior.
This is probably the only time I've heard an 80s/early 90s wrestler speak positively about The Warrior.
I remember when the ultimate warrior ended the honky tonk man's streak of intercontinental title defenses. Honky tonk man is the best damn intercontinental champion of all times
HTM is the greatest IC champion ever, period.
I just had that memory too and wanted to see that clip. Then I went down a wwf rabbit hole. Lol. HTM seems like a real class act.
Randy savage!!!!!!!
Y2J
Great words from the greatest intercontinental champion ever! Always believe UW
On April 5, 2014, The Ultimate Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014.The next day, Warrior appeared at WrestleMania XXX April 6th, 2014, and the following night delivered a very passionate (but barely coherent but also sincere) promo on Raw April 7th ,2014 and then on April 8th , 2014 he passed away. The timing on his death was too spooky and like a very Hollywood movie like ending, huh?? He got a freaking Hollywood movie ending to his life. R.I.P. WARRIOR.
Sammy Lane
Wow, thank you for stating it in this way! Absolutely agree!
🖕🏻
Ya, my birthday. My favorite wrestler, and motivational speaker died on my birthday while I was cutting the first slice of my birthday cake. Thanks for the crappy memory
@William Gee he probably knew he didnt had much time left - he wanted to be in wwe hof and make peace with vince which he did - thats how i see it - maybe im wrong
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE WARRIOR . . . . . . .
***** ALWAYS B E L I E V E : 0 )
+WARRIOR "Ultimate Warr is a gay man, I can break his fucking back, put him in camel clutch make him humble......."
+WARRIOR load the spaceship with the rocket fuel
MrDeeky74 reADING your lousy comeback was so dull and boring i flee to go and kill myself. Adios loser!
You know something you crackheaded fuckstain....that really wouln't be such a bad idea...The world would be rid of yet just another down n out fucking junkie....
Wow, no animosity from when warrior killed him in the ring and took his intercontinental belt in record time, truly humble guy
+ifeelallright Get a few drinks in him and he wont be as nice
tallarico - I think it’s more of a “never speak ill of the dead” type deal.
+adam tarver - I've seen and heard the interviews. Hell, I saw "The Self Destruction of Ultimate Warrior". I know almost everyone, except Sting, because Sting likes everybody, thought he was a money grubbing asshole who has no respect for the business.
But apparently, almost everybody buried the hatchet, or just doesn't want to say anything bad anymore because of his passing and leaving behind a wife and two daughters.
Ummm that work was actually HTM's idea....
that's how it was booked. why would he have animosity about that? makes no sense. Start following wresting yesterday?
One of the few times wrestlers talked good bout the warrior
It was his hair, his muscles, his energy and his colourful tassles and his insane promos. When you are like 10-16 yrs old, that sht is awesome. People ALWAYS gravitate to pumped up positive aggressive energy, always. Same things happening with Finn Balor.
I’ve learnt to have a new respect for honky-tonk man he comes across as a genuine person I think he’s lucky also because I think one of the best matches of all time exciting matches I should say is honky-tonk man versus the ultimate warrior intercontinental championship belt that was one big scream from start to finish
My favorite "Warrior" memories: His appearance on the Arsenio Hall Show. Warrior ran around the studio, pumping his fist and flipped sofa from one end in a display of strength that I'm sure made Arsenio very nervous, LOL
Warrior vs. none other than HTM on a Saturday Night Main Event show. At one point the action moved onto the floor ringside. Warrior basically cleaned and jerked HTM and threw him over the top rope into the ring. I'm sure HTM weighed every bit of 240lbs give or take...and his body cleared the top rope with a foot to spare. It was a great match!
RIP James Hellweg.
HTM seems like one of nicest level headed guys ever to wrestle
looks like bobby the brain in booth behind!!!
+devinspruill That's right, you ham and egger!
hahahahaha
lol
Maybe it's Bobbys Ghost saying hello??
Devin Spruill I was thinking the same !!
Good interview.
Honky Tonk Man has great insight into what the man was like and what he was trying to project. Rough around the edges but a sincere warrior was The Warrior.
Seen so many interviews with Honkytonk man… seems so genuine & loved the business…shots from the heart on everything… was such a great Entertainer for the Business
Thanks HTM. Great to hear. RIP Warrior
That's so sad because they both lived in Phoenix Ariz... will close enough.. warrior lived in Scottsdale but, you would think they would have made some kind of connection to visit one another or, at least a phone call to say "hey, lets meet and go have lunch together and reminisce the old times" but maybe they weren't the best of friends" so it is what it was. Jim even said to Wayne..thank you so much for working with me. From what i heard, Wayne took on that responsibility as a favor for Vince Mcmahon who asked him to help, so he did.
@Andrew William Wright Was that the reason why he was in Mesa, Arizona at a hotel the day he passed?
@Andrew William Wright why was he staying at a hotel in Mesa, Arizona right after WrestleMania XXX if he lived in New Mexico?
David Lander b
The truth came out.. The Ultimate Warrior really is a great wrestler and a good person and back then a lot of wrestlers were jealous of his success and charistma!!! NUFF SAID!!$
Mr Hercules Damn skippy. Warrior was a little cocky, most successful people are. It’s just human nature
Very kind words.
That’s how you do it.
Totally a southern gentleman nice words for the warrior, just seems like alot of hate for him(warrior) but only seems to be from older grizzly wrestlers,I think the guy was misunderstood and people fear and hate what they don't understand, I understood it he was a live action hero that I could watch come to life on my TV screen the warrior spirt lives on, we are the story tellers that make the legends immortal his engergy lives on.
HTM is pure class. Glad to hear a POV that doesn't involve ripping on Warrior. Warrior was my favorite. Always Believe.
Very well said by Honky Tonk Man. R.I.P. The Ultimate Warrior!
Finally someone with something nice to say about the Warrior!
I love that he still has the chops
Perfectly said
he had the best intro music in my opinion, when that music came on, me and my friends would get all pumped up for his match.his wrestling skills sucked, but he had a great character act that brought fans in the stadiums.
mgtowfish73 He wrote his entrance music as well.
Lots of people talk about warrior and his in the ring skills but I didn’t care cause he was a warrior and warriors don’t do drop kicks n sunset flips
Kind words from Honky Tonk, some of the kindest I’ve ever heard from him actually.
Boston Pizza, Fuck yeah!
Janet Yellen Sitting on the back booth
well said
Warrior is the most magical superhero in wwf history
Honkey and warrior set the perfect match scenario i remember above all else minus hogan andre... Htm i praise you for building the persona and character the led to summerslam. Looking back it was the heels that made the babyfaces. To think htm even held off machoman in such great matches..and warrior absorbed all that greatness on his victory at summerrslam...
HTM and Warrior was my favorite 30 second match ever
I know when uw flew in damage was gonna be done
As a kid that kinda thing was very entertaining
Interesting video
Class
R.I.P. warrior. I will always be apart of OWN. And hopefully OWN will run through my veins forever.
Honky Tonk Man is a good person, loved WWF back in the day!
What's not to understand? He was unique in every way. He shattered the stereotype
Honky should've been in the Warrior Biography talking.
I know this is out of your control Hannibal, but the music is way too damn loud!! Love your videos though
Good to see him show respect.
When Was this filmed?
BoomProductions99 August 2015
I love the Honky Gimmick.
Brockville? Then that's the Boston pizza. I sat in the corner near that Stanley cup pic one time
A very classy response!
Honky Tonk man had the balls to call it as it really is and not join the bandwagon in badmouthing the Warrior. Saw what you will about the guy but the fact still remains that arenas were packed full to see UW, that made the company money which meant the other wrestlers can get paid as well.
Finally a video were a wrestler is not talking shit about the warrior👍🏾
Hoky. A top class uy. Someone who actually knew something about warrior
Good man HonkyTonk 👍🏻👍🏻
What? What did Honky-tonk Man say?:What?????
Awesome
Only way he did this interview was getting a free meal
Your manager Bobby Heenan is right behind you !
Alot of people was jealous of warrior in the business it's just sad that he allowed the negativity to get to him 😕
Respect to Honky, always will be the greatest IC Champ ever
There's a great opportunity for some wrestling promotion who does it. Combine Honky Tonk with the Warrior for a new character: The Honky Tonk Warrior.
It's the Honky Tonk Warrior - he's cool, he's cocky, he's from the stars of immortals and the universal power shining down on THE HONKY TONK WARRIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good man honky he'll b remember tats all tat matters never b another warrior
they may not have understood the warrior and such but normal ppl the warrior cannot understand
It's funny you see all these shoot interviews with various levels of wrestlers shitting on the Ultimate Warrior, then you have the Honky Tonk Man, who is probably the most outspoken of all the wrestler shoot interviews, a guy that is the complete opposite of a follower, and he talks of the Warrior in a positive light.
Cool cat, the HTM.
Comic-books are way more subtle.
Strange that piper felt warrior was not a great wrestler. Bret Hart said pretty much the same thing about piper. "he wasn't a great wrestler but was a great fighter"
Funny how majority of wrestlers in previous interviews dissed the warrior, since he passed away some of these old-timers be changing their feelings towards him in later interviews.
Warrior told a story the audience at the time lapped up. That's all wrestling is - narrative. Vince would kill for a guy that can't wrestle but can electrify a crowd like that now.
This interview would of even been better sitting in car
Nice words from Honky
Filled the room with electricity then no showed. No showed the one event I went to. As a 8 year old at the time, I was indifferent but my heart still breaks for my dad. He wanted me to see my hero and that POS no showed. It sucks that he’s dead but man, that was some cold hearted, inconsiderate stuff. Make me sad, OK. Make my dad sad, I’ll hate you for life.
build a bridge and get over it
It may have been an innocent scheduling mix-up.
He's cool, he's cocky, and he's bad!
A lot of Wrestlers made themselves out to be Super Heroes. A lot of their Gimmicks are geared towards making them look like Superheroes.
All I know is honky tonk Man. And Andre the Giant Jake the Snake Roberts. All liked the ultimate warrior... Those are three diverse people... Much respect for honky tonk
honky tonk man the el kabong of pro wrestling!!!!
Okay now this is sad
Today is my birthday hannibal
Honky=Legend … Yes sir…
N°1! R'N'R Hero.
It seems like all the ones who bash Warrior didn’t know him well, and guys who did have nothing bad to say. The thing is, if Warrior was truly horrible and unsafe in the ring why does nobody point the finger at the true problem??? VINCE MCMAHON? He’s the one who hired Warrior and allowed him to wrestle with “no experience” and put the safety of others in Warriors hands...
Nismo The people who bashed were jealous of the Warrior. Hulk, Nash, Brutus fuckface beefcake.... and all the rest
Classy Honky Tonk Man 👍
Damn ! He looks like the tooth fairy killer from Dexter lol
did you buy him a burger for the interview?
too bad, the old and frends all is paste away..w.w.e 1988-1994 for ever
you know people don't give credit to Vince MacManu or the honky-tonk man it's like they do it more tords hulk hogan for there match at wm6 I think Vince and the honky-tonk man deserves the credit were it's due just saying
where was this filmed
i see a canadian flag on the left
People pay a heavy price for using steroids.
HTM is a class act . RIP Warrior
He had maniacism . Dont think you know him just cuz ya do.
