Great Hack Ideas Amanda! 👏👏👏😃😃 The ideas about using baking soda In your drainage I've always heard plumbers say to never put baking soda in your drain because it can burst your pipes I'm not sure but that's what I heard. I've been using a mop to clean my walls for years a swiffer mop with a rag attached to it Because those refills are expensive you're right about that! I did it because I'm disabled and I can't stand for long periods of time So it really helps.
@ThisCrazyLife, first let me say that I love your channel. I was watching your cleaning hack video and thought I would share some info concerning hack #9. My husband is a professional plumber. He advises his customers to never put baking soda in the drains. It can harden up like cement, causing damage and can lead to worse clogging that can only be remedied by replacing the pipes. He says never pour any “drain cleaners” like Liquid Plumber down the drain either. It may unclog the pipe, but it is also eating and corroding the pipe, which can weaken the integrity or damage it beyond repair, which means expensive pipe replacements. The best way to unclog a drain is to plunge or use a snake; if that doesn’t work, call a professional. Also, his tip to freshen and clean your garbage disposal is to use a few lemon slices and ice cubes and turn on the water and run the disposal for a bit until it sounds clear. I hope this is helpful to you and everybody who reads this. 😊
I would agree except I’ve done this on a load of whites only, and the water turns brown like that. And the sheets especially after stripping FEEL cleaner and smell better. So there’s definitely something to it.
Amanda, thank you for sharing the 10 hacks. I love to save time and money ❤. I can't wait to try them. I need to write then down on a recipe card or note card. Love the suggestion. Thank you again. Blessings.
I'm actually hitting like before seeing the video because I love that you're doing this. I don't always hit like because usually cleaning with the videos, but definitely wanted to make sure I did with this one.
Hi Amanda. I will love any video that you choose to share. I absolutely love your channel, love watching every video, and love all of the cleaning motivation! 💙💙
Happy New Year Amanda! #slowvaccuming Thanks for sharing the cleaning hacks! I use a spray bottle with water and lemon to spray the microwave then zap it for @ 30 seconds - works the same as your hack just a little quicker I also use the swiffer with a cloth to wash my bathroom walls, ceilings, and ceiling vents... Keep the videos coming - I love a good cleaning hack!
I'm loving the cleaning hacks!!! So motivational and inspiring. I could not absolutely live without 2 things... Vinegar and my Dr. Bronner's Castile soap!!! So many good uses for each and saves money! ☺️
I loved this video! My favorite hack was the dishwasher tablet and sponge to clean your shower floor! One hack you didn’t have that I just found (through americas test kitchen) was cutting a dishwashing tab in half, adding it to your coffee carafe with hot tap water, letting it sit overnight and then rinsing it out in the morning! It gets EVERYTHING off!!! We did it to our coffee carafe and my husbands coffee thermos and both look brand new on the inside!!
Hi Amanda great hacks I think the dish tab in the scrubber seemed to do a good job in your bathroom, the swifter hack is a good idea, look forward to more tips.😊
Hey Amanda, I love watching your videos every week! I love seeing the before & after pictures because they're breathtaking! I can't wait to see more videos every week! I think some of these viral TikTok cleaning hacks can work, and some can't depending on why they can't or not.❤❤❤
I just binge watched/cleaned for eight videos. I had to scroll back to old videos. LOL! I completely undecorated, cleaned, swept, mopped, went through the pantry and threw out everything expired then I re-decorated for Valentine’s Day! Every year I take down the Christmas ornaments and put up hearts and roses on the tree. We have a different tree for every season/holiday. Anyway, thank you for the motivation and keeping me company. I was very in need of a productive day. I love your hair too! 😍
I tried the drawer sent and it is awesome. I like the freshness when I open the sock drawers. Everyone had s favorite scent in their dresser drawers. I want to try the Coca-Cola in the toilet, but I will have to purchase some. I’ll let you know. Keep up the videos love them.
I am so shooketh...haha. I have never put the soap directly onto the dishes and have ways put the soap on whatever sponge I am using. I couldn't believe when you said it that people needed to be told that. I don't mean that in an ugly way at all, it just made me giggle. Like am I am trendsetter or just old?!? 😂
Thank you for the hacks today. I have used several of them already. It definitely saves on cleaning supplies and time. Sometimes less is more. Amanda as I told you last time we did get a little snow here in Georgia last week. It wasn't to bad but my cat litter came in handy on the front deck and steps. That's a hack I learned a long time ago. When you have wet frozen ice on steps to help prevent falls sprinkle cat litter on it and it will make you feel a little more secure. That's my hack to share. Have a great week and till next time.❤
Love the hacks! Love your channel! Question: You don't put your cold wash color clothes in that hot water do you? Won't that take out some of the color??
Benji...I am a fan of Benji...also the microwave lemon boil. It works! Thanks Amanda ❤ I have always dumped left over Coca-Cola down the bathroom sink; helps keep it clear esp. if you have a shaving cream user in the family.
Hi Amanda, one cleaning trick I’ve been using for years to clean my garbage disposal is baking soda and vinegar. I pour baking soda into the disposal then pour in a cup or so of vinegar. When it start bubbling I get a brand new toilet brush, the round ones and scrub out my disposal. You won’t believe the stuff that comes out. I also take a sharpie and mark the handle of my brush with the word (DISPOSAL) and leave it under my kitchen sink for the next time. This works just as well as the expensive tablets you can buy.
Love your hacks, Amanda. I enjoy all the videos you do and eagerly await your instalments each week. Quick sink-related question - I notice you no longer have the grate at the bottom of your sink; is there a reason you have done away with this?
I just kind of go back and forth. I like that it keeps silverware from falling down the drain, but the sink bottom has ended up getting a bit scratched anyway, and so it’s just another step to cleaning the sink… I still have it, and might use it again, but just wanted to put it away for a while :)
I also bought fabric dusters for my swiffer duster. I spray the duster with my fav. all purpose cleaner and swipe away the dust . I love these because I can just throw them in the washer and reuse. No more buying the expensive throw-away dusters.
Can't wait to try the coke in toilet!! As for the baking soda drain opener make m used that all the time so I do too but it doesn't always work if completely plugged drain or u have to do it more then once !
Wonder if some of the color in tub water was Dye color from certain clothing items . I use borax mixed in my laundry soap, saves on laundry soap purchases and at least I feel cleans clothes better 😮 I hope anyways lol TFS xoxox
I love you cleaning videos I do the swifter wall washing but I use the wet cloths you can buy makes my house smell so clean and fresh. Also I put polident mint in my toilets. Love your cleaning videos myselfyou go me through Covid motivation
Hi beautiful so good to see you..your hair looks great! You look great!!! Just FYI...Dawn power wash refill 2oz dawn 2 oz of rubbing alcohol and the rest of the bottle water ! Bam you have a refill for so much cheaper !! Love you ! Take care of yourself and tell Kyle hi Traci ❤
Nice hacks. Hack 9 putting boiled water in the pipes may crack them. I've heard stories before. I'm always turning cold water on when I drain stuff with boiled water.
We have to hand wash our dishes as the dishwasher is broken. Also, I’m waiting for a hack to strip towels in the washing machine not the tub as my bathtub has glass doors on one side making access difficult. Thanks Amanda 😊
I like some of the hacks. No joke though, I struggled many years getting my husbands tub clean. We unfortunately have fiberglass. I could never get all the scum out. No matter what I bought. It was stubborn, stubborn skum on the bottom. Finally I seen a video on RUclips this man who had one worse. I sprinkled baking soda all over the tub. Then put paper towels over the baking soda. Then poured straight vinegar on the paper towels. Let it set for 15 to 20 mins. Went back and ALL the scum came up. I did use a scrub brush, but it all came up. I use that combination all the time. Fiberglass is hard to clean where it feels smooth. This does it💙
Use dawn too. For the upper part I put the baking soda all over a rag and then get really wet with vinegar and then start washing sides. Once it feels smooth I know the scum is gone. It’s truly amazing😎
Great hacks Amanda. I use the Jojoba Oil for my hair. I stay away from anything alcohol based or harsh chemicals for my naturally curly hair. The oil is amazing to give that soft shine after a good blowout and equally as good to give me beachy waves like you when my hair is a bit dirty (no judgment). Also, love the no skid pads to freshen your drawers. Genius. Please share more videos like this. One hack I have is to use dryer sheets to deodorize sneakers. I clean my sneakers often but in between I find storing my sneakers with a dryer sheet keeps it a bit fresh. Last hack is more of a cheat but I typically spray the inside of my toilet and shower with a little multipurpose cleaner with bleach to give my bathroom that freshly cleaned scent (great to do when unexpected company stops by.) Noone will know 😊👌🏽🏡
Be cautious with the hot/boiling water in the sink, especially when rinsing afterwards. We have cracked a sink as a result of a quick and drastic water temperature change 😬 It definitely works well though! Loved all these tips and will be trying some out😊
To unclog drains/ keep gnats away I use a version of the baking soda and boiling water. You do baking soda, a squeeze of dish soap, and use vinegar to cause the reaction. You let this sit while the drain is plugged for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with boiling water! This has worked great for us for maintenance and small clogs.
I had a really clogged bathroom sink drain and tried the baking soda, salt, and boiling water hack and it worked pretty well. I think I just need to repeat it to get all of the hair. The bubbling of the soda really flushed alot of gunk up and out of the drain.
i remember seeing the cola hack eons ago on an old cleaning show called "how clean is your house?". the show was like two british grandmas who went around and helped clean and organize homes. the only other trick i remember from it is using foaming shaving cream to clean the bathtub lol
How long have you been using your homemade dishwasher powder? Our dishwasher is very picky about what I use for detergent. I always use vinegar in the rinse aid slot. If I don’t my glassware looks horrible. My old dishwasher worked, soooo much better than our new one. It’s really annoying.
Ugh! I hate that some appliances just aren’t built as well as the old ones! And I haven’t used it for too long, but I used to make one similar to this, and it worked great!
I learn so much from TikTok. My latest one is cleaning out the tomato sauce stain on your Tupperware. Squirt dishwashing soup and a single sheet of paper towel. Add water and put the lid back on. Shake, shake, shake. It is sparkling clean. It amazes me everytime! Try it!
the hot waster bath/laundry, it could be dirty water or dyes I don't wash anything especially colors in hot water it can fade them. I don't wash anything in hot/warm water because it can also shrink your clothes
*Hey!! Let me know, which hack is your favorite?! And drop your favorite cleaning hack below that I didn’t mention!! 🤍*

Hi Amanda. Thanks for another great video. With regards to the washing. Alot of what you think is dirt is actually the dye from the clothes. ❤
That’s what I thought. It even looked like dye.
Absolutely. Was going to say same in addition to my comment
I would agree except I’ve done this on a load of whites only, and the water turns brown like that. And the sheets especially after stripping FEEL cleaner and smell better. So there’s definitely something to it.
I love the little pads to freshen drawers! Great idea!

I sure needed most of todays hack’s thank you
I am not a huge fan of scrub daddy products
The items in the bath that are soaking and the dirty water could also be from the clothing ( dye )
The long hair looks pretty on you🙂
Thanks! 😊

Hi!! Love your videos no matter what you do. I am missing your other channel Kyle and Amanda. Will you be doing more of those?
We may… life has been very busy & a bit chaotic behind the scenes - but if we can get back to it, I’ll be sure to share!!

Great and helpful hacks! I've been doing the Scrub Daddy with the dish liquid for a long time! Thanks Amanda ❤
Love the hacks! Love your channel!
Question: You don't put your cold wash color clothes in that hot water do you? Won't that take out some of the color??
That's what alot of the colour in the water is not dirt . X
I was thinking the same thing I think the clothes soaking in hot water for hours removes some of the dye from the clothes 😮
I love number 3 😁
So good!!
Isn’t a lot of that discoloration in the water the dye from the clothes more than dirt??
I’ve done this with white towels even, and there’s so much that comes out of those too :)
Who’s going to do that?
Consider adding scented bar soap to drawers. Lavender is my favorite.
I remember when you soaked your cleaning cloths on the stove top and I still do that this day!!😊
Benji...I am a fan of Benji...also the microwave lemon boil. It works! Thanks Amanda ❤ I have always dumped left over Coca-Cola down the bathroom sink; helps keep it clear esp. if you have a shaving cream user in the family.

I unclog my shower drain using baking soda and vinegar followed by boiling hot water about 20 minutes later and it works everytime.
The one with the sink also use or rather add a cup of vinegar with your salt and baking soda it works even better
Team Slow Vacuuming! I started using a Clorox Toilet Wand to clean the shower - a different one than the one I use on the toilet. It works great
Oh love that!!

I also bought fabric dusters for my swiffer duster. I spray the duster with my fav. all purpose cleaner and swipe away the dust . I love these because I can just throw them in the washer and reuse. No more buying the expensive throw-away dusters.
Yes I do slow vacuum.
I have done the detox on laundry
Can't wait to try the coke in toilet!! As for the baking soda drain opener make m used that all the time so I do too but it doesn't always work if completely plugged drain or u have to do it more then once !
Wonder if some of the color in tub water was Dye color from certain clothing items . I use borax mixed in my laundry soap, saves on laundry soap purchases and at least I feel cleans clothes better 😮 I hope anyways lol TFS xoxox
I really feel like a lot of it was dye from the mixture of clothes. It looked more like dye/color then dirty laundry water you would see in a washer.
I love you cleaning videos I do the swifter wall washing but I use the wet cloths you can buy makes my house smell so clean and fresh. Also I put polident mint in my toilets. Love your cleaning videos myselfyou go me through Covid motivation

The drain hack does work
So good to hear! I’m sure I’ll have a truly clogged drain to test it on soon enough 😂

I use baking soda and vinegar to unclog my drains that works really well too
Oh love that! I wonder which option works best… or if it makes a difference between them!
I do too, vinegar also works great on hard water stains.
Be cautious with the hot/boiling water in the sink, especially when rinsing afterwards. We have cracked a sink as a result of a quick and drastic water temperature change 😬 It definitely works well though! Loved all these tips and will be trying some out😊
Oh man! So sorry to hear that! Makes sense that hot water could do that! 😓

I hand wash some & mostly use the dishwasher

is the detergent pod you used to clean the shower a laundry detergent or a dishwasher detergent?
I used a dishwasher detergent pod
the hot waster bath/laundry, it could be dirty water or dyes I don't wash anything especially colors in hot water it can fade them. I don't wash anything in hot/warm water because it can also shrink your clothes
