Cool ! As the proud owner of a white Steinberger Spirit, I’m loving it ! I just bought 2 other small travel guitars even smaller and lighter than the Spirit. ( The Batking and Donner Hush 1 ) But the Steinberger was way ahead of the compact guitar game, and is awesome !
White Spirit club! It's really in rare air. You can't compare it to other travel guitars; it doesn't compromise like most of them. This is one of the only guitars out there that is both fully portable and fully functional. The only time I can ever criticize it is when holding it right up against a good full-size. It looks small, but it is nothing short of a whole electric guitar.
Honestly, strings are the real headache with them these days. I seem to only be able to find them for sale by the box and I honestly don't play either of my wooden Steinbergers enough to warrant the cost. I got other guitars I like as much and I can get singles or a pack for them. Sad though. The Hohner has a dedicated switch SSH setup and Spirit has the GT3 HSH run off a 5 position Fender style selector.
If a guitar cannot sound good on this man's hand....Came here looking to buy one and this video made me drop that idea fully. Thanks for a conclusive video though
HA! Seems you don't understand the guitar has nothing to do with the sound. It's all in the electronics, as in the pickups, amp, etc. What matters is how the guitar feels in your hands. Everything else is changeable.
@@DadRockKid Seems you don't like the sound of the guitar. I was saying that the sound you are not liking is his amp and settings likely. The guitar just sounds like whatever amp and electronics you use. If I am misunderstanding you, please correct me....
@@lex.cordis the sound of any guitar can be manupilated with picjups, amps, ew etc but every guitar has a feel and playability which is player dependent (horse and the jockey concept) if a player like Jo Bo is sounding 40 percent of his usual form (not tone) on a particular instrument esp considering the wide array of models he plays...it's a question of the physics of the guitar rather than the tone
I bought a Spirit when my kids were little. I did it to minimize the chance of hitting them in the head with my guitar's head stock will sitting on the couch. It served it's purpose. These days I hate the guitar. It moves around too much while I'm playing and it looks ridiculous on stage. I saw Rush in 1983 and they were both playing Steinbergers. It looked silly and kinda ruined the show on some level. I'll take a normal guitar over that.
It would be nice if they just added the guitars horns again like the classic steinbergers. Now it's strictly travel guitars and if you want the real steinbergers you gotta pay $5000 minimum
