Some more quick tips for hawk, Skye will only say an enemy was flashed if an enemy was actually flashed, so you can check areas with this to see if they have enemies. And also using the minimap is useful for guiding the hawk through doors and openings.

As a Main Skye radiant player, i can tell you that this guide is on point. Tip : Start playing Skye, this hero is a very strong clutch/aggresive hero, if played so! And to end with, learn pop flashes & peek and kill after. Good luck on that elo farm!

I'm not even a Skye main but as an radiant players can already say this video misses so much details , like when Skye informs you about and enemy being flashed only when an enemy is flashed in an example which is pretty cruical in pro play to know .

hey hey!! along with this, all of her offensive abilities announce if they worked! if you blind someone, she'll say "blinded" rather than saying nothing. or her dogs, in which case she'll say "concussed". her seekers also say "found one" or "got one" :)

They didn't even mention the fact that Guiding Light tells you when an enemy is affected by it within it's radius, giving you info as to where an enemy can be.

In my opinion that team comp was completely wrong. Skye has a heal and flashes, the duelists already have both of those. It’s unlikely they’ll need healing, so characters like Jett and Raze benefit more. Also they have more movement, meaning they can follow up on her flashes and trailblazer much easier and get the required frags. These 2 duelists also work better with omen as well.

Basically sentinels are getting targeted.
Even when they'll target controllers, they'll be sure to nerf everyone except viper and buff her instead.
i mean they did but i dont feel it is much of a defender sided nerf as much as a attack side nerf most the time they will still be able to play fine on their points but now they will have issues using it to watch for flanks.

What happened
Tips that I like to use but am not sure if its actually good:
1. when I'm peeking a corner without a teammate behind me, I like to send out the flash a little bit before I peak the corner, pull out my gun, and activate the flash whilst I turn my head to avoid it the I shoot the enemy. Mind you, this flash is to be done without holding the left click, and this flash will flash your teammates so either use this only when you're alone or give a warning that you're going to flash,
2. With the ult, if there is a long hallway or chokepoint that all the enemies will look at to shoot down the ult, I like to use my flash to blind the enemy before my ult comes in the make it more effective. Only con side with this is how you have to have a free flash available.
Mind you, all of these "tips" are made by me so they aren't official and can be bad so try it out on your own and see how it happens.

I had to fill as an initiator and I never thought I would use Skye. But she was so fun to play with and her abilities fits my playstyle. (I like to be a team player, get some info, but also be aggressive at times) I didn't do well the second time I played her but again, she really fits my playstyle. Now, I'm here considering her as my new main.
I've been looking for video for sky instaflashes. I wonder why there is no such video or discussion already? I mean you can run and instaflash everyone looking at you by holding the ability-key and w at the same time and launching the bird. This will result the flash pop instantly right on you and everyone else looking you gets flashed. Only issue with this is that there is a delay to switch back to gun as the flash is instant, but I wonder could this be utilized somehow?

I loved watching this guide, but tonight I finally got to test her out. So I wanted to give some opinions on Skye as I wanted to test her out in unranked and it seems I was the only player in my games playing her. Nobody on the other team tried. Playing an initiator was different for me as I main Sage and Killjoy as I play more of a sentinel role. To preface this, I'm an Iron and I'm decent and most of the time i'm not a bottom fragger, ususally in the middle of the pack. My first 3 games as Skye I was either top or just below top. I have to attribute that thanks to how she gets intel so easily. I abused the heck out of her Guiding light and knowing when to flash it. Keeping it slightly above the enemies' line of sight can make it easier to blind them for the moment you need, and also force them to not look for you. Trailblazer is very effective for the low leagues, especially just for recon. Out of the many times I sent trailblazer, i only stunned 4 people. The rest of the time, the intel it gave me plus scaring the enemy into trying to rotating when they didn't need to also keeps them distracted when you have flankers come at them. Her ult seeker really helped me 1v3 a few times, especially when trying to get on site to diffuse the spike and the enemies are hidden around the area. The only ability that didn't really come into play much was her heal as in the low leagues, a lot of time players are killed rather than survive with a need of healing and it became almost like Sage's orb heal when at most I've only been able to heal one person each of the 3 times in a total of 40 rounds I played over 3 games. I think eventually I'll be able to make use of it, but the rest of her abilities really make her a dangerous initiator when used properly. First time I was ever called a smurf by not just the enemy team, but by one of my teammates too. Trust me, when it comes to PC, my only other experience with FPS other than Valorant, is Overwatch and about 15 years ago, one of the early versions of CounterStrike. Other than that, no other FPS experience on PC. I was more of a console 007 FPS player.

When using Guiding Light, you should have it fly upwards so the enemy can’t shoot it.

i’m a phoenix main, i literally only have breach and the default characters, but i practice with skye and viper. i still think that the perfect team would be skye, viper, raze, killjoy, and phoenix. i say that from experience. but i personally like viper and skye because though they might be considered bad, i think if you practice with them you could be as good as your typical raze.

Yes, there is a settings menu specifically for crosshairs
You can ping when you use trailblazer. I ping as I jump on someone, so my team will see where they are.

Remove 1 flash, make them 200 creds ea. Then, buff her healing to allow her to heal herself at half rate and only when shes actively healing someone else. shes better and still balanced, Thanos approved

Yes. They also buff units who received new fancy skins and a few weeks or a month later they’ll get nerfed again. It’s just all business at the end of the day, riot needs people to keep spending money
