So wait, you're saying that "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" could have been a 10/10 attraction if they had...
...dug a little deeper??? 😇
Great annual review, dude! It’s tough to have ended this year with the Muppet news, but because of you I do have some hope!
With regards to the Madme Leota gift shop: If they've got any more of Doratha Raymond's concept sketches for the Haunted Mansion, use those to hang around the shop instead of AI art.
110%
That as well Marc Davis' art
I have to disagree on island tower…the art may be a bit more authentic but knocking down the lu’au theater and killing those jobs (many of which were worked by actual Hawaiians) was a bad move. We quite literally have a small Polynesian diaspora in central FL because of Aunty Kau’i and the others who came over here to start that show back in the day…it just felt disrespectful to her memory IMO. DVC feels like a pyramid scheme at this point with how many buildings they have to build to sell more and more contracts…I wonder when it will tumble.
Btw…filling in Rivers also kills off canoe racing for CMs. Will forever be salty for that. :(
That's so sad! Someone should open a local show, if they have the funds-I think it'd definitely get guests!
@@SmolAliens They do have an unused water area in Animal Kingdom where they last flew kites.
@@SmolAliensWhy would filling in the river "kill off canoe races?" It will likely just move to a new location.
@@DevlinORyan I haven’t heard anything either way, but CROW has always been on the river and wouldn’t be the same if they moved it elsewhere. I loved seeing the animatronics and static scenes as we rowed around. DAK’s lagoon thing isn’t nearly as large either…I hope they can figure something out. My friend and I rowed when we were both pregnant a couple years ago, then I missed the last one being on parental leave! I want one more shot at glory 😂
So 2 reskins, one that was a big downgrade, a new line for a ride and a college cafeteria. What a year!! 😂😂 I do agree that country bears was a win. Love the new show.
17:11 Hmm, there should be a video of Eisner era additions that are gone now. Pleasure Island, California Adventure's original opening day stuff, Dinoland, A lot of Tomorrowland...
The great movie ride, muppet vision, splash mountain… reasonable ticket prices 😂
Lot of great stuff from Eisner.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, Capt'n Eo (Shrunk the Kids was Ok, but no where near as good, and now nothing). And despite its detractions, he did bring DCA. And the movies as original movies are more memorable than anything coming out now. Eisner is definitely a Walt Disney Legacy.
@ I agree, i would even go as far to say despite his detractions, he may have been the closest to the second coming of Walt that the company may ever see..
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Fantasy Springs which honestly was THE best thing Disney has made in 10 years IMO.
Fantasy Springs wasn’t made by Disney though, it was made by the Oriental Land Company. However I do agree with you, it’s absolutely fantastic. I doubt Disney would ever shell out the money themselves to build anything as magnificent here in the American parks though.
@@Michael-zs9hw It was paid for by OLC. But OLC contracted Disney Imagineering to build it. Disney CAN still build these massive lands.
The more fans shine a light on what OLC does in Japan, the more pressure the stateside parks get to match that expectation. Especially since more Americans are traveling to Japan then ever before. I was there in June and saw it first hand. More Americans were there then you'd expect.
It looks nice i guess but tbh its kinda wack. Doesnt feel like disney
I don't visit the Disney parks anymore, I just watch your videos. I get so much joy from watching your content and I skip all the lines, large price tags, and crowds. LOL Thank you for what you do!! 😼
@jwood4508 Same!
That’s like enjoying looking at pictures of delicious food but never eating.
@barfyman-wn3id not really. You need food to live, you don't need disney to survive. Not all of us are down that bad lol
Going to Disneyland in a few weeks, your videos always make me so excited and happy to visit! Also great meeting you last year in the parks:)
LONG LIVE THE PEOPLEMOVER
Great video, and I'm definitely excited for 2025! Here's a potential fun idea for a 2025 video. Kingdom Hearts Missing Link should hopefully finally release in 2025. Not only does it technically fall under the same Disney Experiences umbrella as the parks, but it's also a GPS based game. So theoretically you could make a video where you play the game while at one of the Disney Parks. The very thought of playing a Disney related GPS game in a Disney park just sounds very meta.
Hey Offhand Disney, I know you mostly just talk about the American parks, but you forgot about Fantasy Springs at tokyo Disney sea, which in my opinion was the best thing in 2024( especially the fantastic Frozen ride) Love from Denmark.
Ur gay
I agree that CBMJ was better than expected, but STRONGLY DISAGREE on Haunted Mansion queue /NOS area & horrific gift shop! HM is a victim of its own success. The mansion looks way too overdone/fake now, when it used to be an unassuming, simply alluring structure.
Disneyland's 70th will probably be mostly a non-event, but with the Disneyland Forward stuff they'll probably be completing all of that by the 75th anniversary.
@@stanfordite1the Anaheim City Council seems to think there will be since they voted unanimously to approve it on May 7th 2024
Great video as always!
I was at the Country Jamboree for the first time in September and was surprised by how many people were there. They were singing along and laughing, so I'd say it's well-received.
My best friend's dad just reserved me a week in Old Key West for next September for cheap, so hoping Test Track 3.0 will be open by then at least.
Hmmm i call cap on this 😂 sounds like wishful thinking from a disney enthusiast
If anything outside of the 70th stuff happens in Anaheim in 2025, it'll be a miracle!
I really wish they weren't going to actually go through with some of these plans (primarily tearing down Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America for an IP area that makes 0 sense in Frontierland), I predict that by 2026 they'll announce a re-theme for Living with the Land involving Onward, or somethin' stupid like that.
The only thing the land would be good with is Wall-E, and even then more similar to Moana in the journey of water ride than being a actual part.
@@stanfordite1 Good golly, I hope you are right.
8:50 As a huge Country Bear fan (it's my favorite Disney thing of all time, not just my favorite theme park attraction), I was very happy with how the new show came out. It's a perfect example of how you can change something to be new while still being respectful of what it's replacing and showing a deep love, understanding, and reverence for the past. My only hope is that they start to make new merch cause that single t-shirt is not enough, give my boy Ernest something after 50+ years of only having a single pin lmao
Great video! Also yes hopefully we get something figment related at destination D23 we need breadcrumbs at least 😭 like updated CGI animations for the ride or the bare minimum like Figment gets a holiday sweater for his meet and greet during the holiday lol
I wish you would have mentioned the DAS changes as children with cancer are even being denied accommodations - other than that love the video
Disney truly hates disabled people as much as most of the rest of the world. :(
To be honest, I actually disagree on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. It’s not actually an improvement it’s pretty much a disappointment. Splash Mountain is basically the best thrill ride with songs that actually fit the ride. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure kind of feels like it’s made for a living in the land type ride or it’s a small world type ride, it isn’t made to be a thrilling ride which is why it’s the biggest disappointment. Even the theme song which is supposed to be a song to dance to is kind of useless. The only thing that is good about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is that there are a few songs from the movie. I’ve been on the Disneyland version and my experience I will say 2 out of 10. It is a little better but Splash Mountain to me is a 9 out of 10. Hopefully, they will realize their mistake and remake Splash Mountain with animatronics that work and were made for the ride. Because Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is made for a gentle dark ride and that’s not Splash Mountain. I’m pretty sure it’s not going to be as popular as they are going to hope. My guess they’ll probably might will have to speed up the refurbishment on Big Thunder Mountain so they can get people in over there.
I disagree on TBA. It's just okay. It's really weighed down by my memory of what was there, especially as I'm going by all the blank walls. They took one of the best attractions and turned out into a just okay attraction.
I wish I shared your opinion of the Carriage House. There’s just no excuse for it to be that bad/basic.
My prediction for 2025 is that Disney will continue to do literally anything but fix Tomorrowland. 😑
Bring. Back. The. PEOPLE MOVER!!!
I cried in the new Country Bear Jamboree hearing all the kids enjoying it and singing along so much!
I am forever in the the "Bring Back People Mover" camp. It's a mountain I will forever stand on and want to be buried on. It was always one of my favorites as a kid and I cry every time I walk under the tracks. IN reality, I'm seriously done with tomorrowland on so many levels. The entire land needs to be razed, except for Space Mountain - and even that building needs a major renovation. Autopia, Nemo, Buzz Lightyear, Star Tours... get rid of ALL of it. Sure, the logistics would be rough because it would impact the railroad and the monorail, but they could figure it out.
Disney will never bring it back. Rocket rods destroyed the track theres cracks in the pillars and on the track they would have to completely tear it down and re build it.
They will never do this.
I actually went to a Disney park this year, which doesn't happen very often for me--and it was, probably, the BEST ONE, Tokyo DisneySea (an unkind person would say this is because it's a Disney park not run by Disney). I had a great time. So for me it was a great year in Disney parks. Actually that's a pattern in general--it was a pretty good year for me personally all around, and if I didn't care about other people or about the future I'd say it was a terrific year. But all those other considerations soured the mix.
I only went to Disneyland Paris twice last year and the first one was rubbish except the final ever Disney dreams near the end of the trip but the second trip was one of the best trips I ever had at DLP
No one wants “authentic” at Disney resorts, they want whimsical “too good to be true”, fun interpretations!
The original Poly is the most classic Disney hotel to exist, and the new tower abandoning the originals theme is a disgrace to the company’s history.
Aristocats near New Orleans land could be fun because they have that cat Jazz club. I'd looove to see an attraction themed around Everybody Wants to Be A Cat
Epic Universe's opening next year is forcing Disney to keep RoA and Dinoland (or at least Dinosaur) open next year so that they're not filling the parks with construction walls just when their competitor is taking them down.
Country Bears is a delight, but multiple times in a single day? Even as someone who doesn't like thrill rides, that seems a little much. Variety is the spice of life!
you underestimate how hot Florida is and how nice country bears when it's got AC
With the news that Disney is upgrading the projectors on Space Ranger Spin, I wonder if we'll have a little refurb to help some effects like the audio, you can't really hear the music in most scenes. As long as the theme stays, Space Ranger Spin is easily my favorite ride in MK!
A REAL mansion would not have its carriage in the front, make the gift shop look like a small local business along the road that runs in front of the mansion, but do we really need "another" gift shop. Let's just have a pre-gift shop then the main gift shop then a post-gift shop....... lol
Thank you Dallin! This was quite Offhand, Respectful and Enjoyable! Mucho Gusto!
Just got back home in Hawaii from Disneyland. As a park go’er from rope drop to closing, the people mover would be the best to rest on . They need to bring back the people mover!!!
I never saw the original Country Bears show, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I saw the new show and quite enjoyed it 😊
I know its salty, and I dont care about the "canon" of a ride in regards to the original film. Not having the Bayou Adventure Drop be to "Friends on the Other Side" is one of the biggest missed opportunities in theme park history.
Um....Dr. Facilier died in the movie, bruh. This takes place after the movie....
Man, y'all are too hard to please, smh
@@lyingelephants it was still a big missed opportunity to not have him return!
I'm going to experience it for the first time this March and I'm going to try to judge it for what it is instead of what I really wanted it to be. Though, I will say that, I am disappointed that I'm not going to hear his Friends from the Other Side going "bum bum bum bum bum bum bum" as you go up the lift Hill.
It’s just too happy. I think splash mountain really had that “fear factor” by hyping up the drop, but now it’s just party party party and that kinda sucks :(
Ah, man. Tortilla Joe's was one of the more reliable places my wife was able to find safe food near the park.
Josh said dirt was moving nearly 6 months ago and not a single shovel has been seen.
People mover? Disney: sure, here's a bus. Buy your ticket first
You are awesome 😎
First mention! That made my day. Love the videos
19:35 This makes no sense inside of The Tree Of Life.
27:00- justice for the aristocrats overlay!
Great video! I'm really sad i didn't get to do Muppetvision when i was in Disney world last year
Cant wait to hear about beyond adventure land or beyond pirates of the Caribbean
Greta video as always! Excited for what’s to come!
I love this channel.
Can we speculate about Villain's Land, please? What is going in it? What is the E-ticket attraction? I'm hoping for a spooky dark ride that combines tech from the Phantom Manor and Battle for the Sunken Treasure, but what is the theme? Do they come up with a story that combines our favorite villains into one experience, or do they just pick one to follow? If so, which one? What villains will they theme restaurants after? What will the bathrooms look like? What character meet and greets can we expect? Will there be a guy dressed like Jeffrey Katzenberg in Villain's Land??? Let's get into it!
@@stanfordite1it literally is. Stop with these annoying comments contradicting facts dude.
@@stanfordite1 it is. It was announced and it's final
Creating Avatar Land in Simba lot.... and making sure it's lush and not so alien like, so they can retheme it into a Central/South America area, (as per WDW,) when Avatar I.P. hype fades.
Respectfully disagree. Tiana's deserved a ride from scratch that is better than a reskin which has too many empty spaces and no comprehensive story...not to mention no Dr. Facilier! 😮
Iger continues to destroy the company's legacy. Worst CEO ever!
@@joemama5181 Chapek was worse
8:30 Where (honestly!) has Tiana improved something over Splash Mountain …? 🤔
Honestly I feel like the age range of adults going to disney parks right now are used to the perpetual construction/dirt. We grew up in schools that were constantly under construction and had portable classrooms for like 90% of our education 😂 and somehow it was always just being finished the year we graduated
If Disney is going to go bigger for Disneyland’s 75th they need to set those expectations with fans. I think most of can understand a smaller scale 70th in exchange for a bigger celebration in 5 years.
Calling it now... Muppets Vision 3D... returning to DCA for a limited run. Is Philarmagic REALLY what the fans want, Disney? "This has been REALLY?! with Adam." 25:23
Ironically it could do 1000x better now with the street entrance they added
THE QR CODEEEE
Tiana's was a downgrade compared to Splash Mountain
Unfortunately this is true but it didnt have to be. Modern disney is just cheap as all get out and did not do it properly.
I wanted some improvements to Dinoland USA instead of a reimagining into a new land!
Props on the QR code
12:04 I have and OMG DALLIN. They are amazing
I guess I'm in the minority, I don't care for the new version of Country Bears.
I don't care for the country bears at all. I think it's just whatever.
2025: Hold my beer! 🍺
Communicore Hall looks like a cheap Disney pop up in a failing mall.
Island Tower is a paywall that destroyed jobs of actual Polynesian Americans, and also ruins the skyline. It’s absolutely horrendous.
Maybe a Disney Land Tomorrow Land discussion at Destination D23 in August of this year ?
I'm just mad that disney is closing down muppet vision 3D without telling us what will be done with it. It DOES NOT need to be shoved onto Disney+.
What could possibly go wrong?
A lot...
As a Floridian who went to Disney almost every single year with my family, then became an adult who continued to go. I'm not going to act like I like Disney anymore. I just can't, they don't care about us.
Why do you think that?
Tomorrowland might never become UNBURDENED by the PASSAGE of TIME!! 😂
Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney will take place August 29-31, 2025 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Walt Disney World Resort,
My prediction for 2025 is the re-opening of the Peoplemover..........
Disney Co. Put some $$$$ into the Peoplemover......
What shirt are you wearing later in the video???? The brown groovy looking one. I’ve been googling it for over an hour and I’ve come up with nothing. I NEED it. 😭
FAVORITE ANNUAL REVIEW FRFR
Agreed.
Sucks that this year had to end with the muppet news
Hard to take your opinion seriously when you admit Tiana has empty portions and is an “8/10” but still an “improvement” ocer Splash.
Splash Mountain was a thematic masterpiece with a perfect emotional journey from start to finish. Tiana’s is so monotonous, its just a one note “party” the whole time. Zero stakes!
Same issue with Small World. Zero stakes!
@ incomparable. Small World isn’t a thrill ride with a 90’ drop. It’s a fundamentally different type of ride
Prediction for 2026-2029 Canada's Epcot pavilion gets a ride either a wild mouse rollercoaster, or a log flume
Disappointed i didnt get to go this year. Hoping 2025 gives a better shot
Do you think we will see the dragon animatronic return for fantasmic at some point
Pretty sure there were permits in place to build an entirely new dragon animatronic because the other one got burnt to a crisp
The first few minutes of the video being gray scale confused me… 😂
Tiana's Bayou Whatever is modern Disney writ large. It is wan and disinteresting despite the multitude of flailing arm animatronics (actually the same ones repeated over and over to save money) with an overreliance on projections (to save money). It is not bold or ground breaking its just...breaking - all the time.
A safe bet that is a palid imitation of Disney's better times, just like the new Haunted Mansion cue with its tiny Temu statuettes and oh so much stucco (so much cheaper than faux brick) or the literal prefab from a website Leota's eyesore barn (so much cheaper than designing one) featuring Amazon figurines and stolen AI art.
Thank Walt that the Imagineers who developed the spectacular offerings at the foreign parks were able to have their work brought to life before the SixFlagsification began in earnest.
2025 will be a sad year for steam boat fans

Dino land did not start fall 2024. So josh lied again. It's starting Jan 2025
If I were Disney - I would put a huge moderately priced hotel in bus area close to esplanade. Disneyland needs hotel revenue to fund future theme Park capacity - otherwise it’s an investment that just benefits other hotels. The biggest problem at Disneyland is that most guests stay elsewhere. I think a hotel will come before Avatar.
A hotel makes no sense there and would go against Disney's sight line guidelines. The east entrance will be revamped once they make progress on the new parking structure on the other side of Harbor and figure out how they're going to get people to the entrance from there (**cough** peoplemover **cough cough**).
@@techguypaul Yes - I have no idea where they would put more hotel rooms - they have approval to builds thousands more but I am terrible with spacial thinking so I can't figure out where they would put them?

The AI barn gets the Offhand Seal of Approval. Because it's Disney. Prepare for construction to start, next year. Alright.
Splash was better than Tiana, the old country bears were better than the new one, the haunted mansion gift shop ruins the forced perspective of the Mansion itself and the island tower is an eyesore. 2024 was pretty bad and with the destruction of the rivers of America looming 2025 won’t be any better

You are WAY too easy on the Bob Iger Corporation. A “state of transition” gives them far too much credit. At just about every decision point they make the wrong one. Wondering when investors will finally hold them to account, as they deserve, for destroying the cash cow parks?

Tiana’s Salt Mine and Rainforest Cafe adventure is a 2/10 at best. Quite possibly the worst thing Disney has ever done to the parks.
