Love your videos! Have a question, heading to Athens prior to a cruise in June. We are staying in Plaka and wanted to ask your thoughts on best gyros/other restaurants to go to around that area.
Kostas was in that area and in monastiraki next to plaka there is o thanasis and if you want a good peinirli smack is amazing and in plaka area and theikon grill house is by the main market and really good
Best souvlaki is outside the touristy area of Athens or well hidden inside it and are kind of old that go from father to son…also some shops are sold out by 1-2 o’clock so got to be fast…also look for the places that the locals are eating and most of them are forming long waiting lines
But....you can't beat some touristy places : Kwsta at Monastiraki Kostas in Syntagma(the first one here). Thanasis kebab Monastiraki. Lefteris o Politis in Omonoia.
