Awesome, this only took 20 minutes or so to nail down thanks to your very clear, concise instructions. Tabs are for free, which is very generous. Thanks Jason...
@@thejaseguitar Fantastic superb.. no words to express!! what a treat to learn and listen to. what is the strumming bit like I can't seem to get it. thanks for help
Great stuff. So much easier to learn today with RUclips and instructors like you. Its a great time to be a guitar player. I have the soundtrack to Good Bad & Ugly...such a classic. Might have to work this into our song list along with Sway. I am in my late 50's and play in a casual oldies band. We do all the surf, motown, Elvis, Beatles, Stones, etc...music from the 50's and 60's. We have great singers so it is really fun. Thanks again for the lessons. I will pass your channel info to my friends.
Great job. Just as a shared thing, not trying to be anything other than helpful and collaborative here: I like to play the harmonic tones on the D/A opener part, exact positioning you're in but just as harmonic tones, almost easier, gives that high harmonic ring...I also like to play that same thing but one octave up for more contrast. Just an addition/tip to anyone that wants to grab it and play with it, just expanding on a most excellent demo. I also use a ton of spring reverb on it, just soaked. Such a great movie soundtrack, Ennio was brilliant.
I was wondering, can you play Il Trio? That's the song at the stand off near the end of the movie. It's a beautiful piece of music and my favorite of the movie. It has so much intensity to it as it builds up.
oh, this is a good guitar lesson. Waiting to your lesson how to play "For a Few Dollars More" of ENNIO MORRICONE. Thanks for the very helpful tutorials.
What?? No Gringo???!! (Takemine?) Pure joy to hear and watch you play these two classic 'Classics'. (way beyond my ability - but very much appreciated. I'll have to tell you my friend's El Bandito story one day...
You have a very important chord wrong. The sequence at 1:41 is Dmin - Amin - A#maj - Fmaj. Try this and see how much more moving it sounds. And actually, I don't know if it's how he wrote it but an A#maj7 sounds great there because it includes the root of the previous chord and helps weave things together.
Jason, I tabbed this out in PDF form from watching your video multiple times :). I'll try to send it to you. Maybe you can post it for others. Those bar chords are brutal but they make great practice. Thanks again.
Great lesson. I just previewed it and will try it on guitar when I get home. Do you have the tabs on this or know where I could go for the tabs? Thanks. PS, I've been learning Siggi Mertnes version too, but yours is great too.
Something threw me when I was going through the tab on the open note part it was going to the 3rd fret on the E string whereas in the video you are playing the 3rd fret of the D string. Wonder if you can check the tab and correct it.
Yeah, that's a mistake ! I just heard that something was off, trying it out. Thanks to your comment, I saw that he put the tabs on there. Great lesson, and nice of Jason Read to do all of this work.
Cheers Jason its a blinder. Two things: do you have the acoustic track on its own to play along to? and can you review the 3rd last chord on the tab Bb(2)?
Hey Jason, not sure if you're taking any requests, but there are a few killer 80s pop guitar solos I've always wanted to learn: Just What I Needed - Cars Shake it up - Cars Easy Lover - Phil Collins/Phillip Bailey Anyway, I'll just leave them there in case you're list is a bit lean and you need a few new ideas :) Cheers!
Ah ok, wasn’t trying to be rude. Im listening to what i think is the original from the movie. Quite rough quality, obviously in that version the first part is actually whistling ! Thanks
I practice running a scale with just my fingers when I have downtime. I use my phone, pamphlets, boards... Just whatever you have around that's flat and handheld. A friend of mine actually chopped a section of neck off an old guitar and made markings where the string would lay so he could practice on his commute to and from work. Don't neglect the real thing though, you need strength to back up that dexterity. Hopefully this advice is way too late though and you got it by now!

You, Sir, have my gratitude. Best lesson out there out of at least 5 videos I saw. Learning this for a surf band. That walk down has always thrown me.

One of my instrumental favorites! I love Ennio Morricone's music. Well done. Thank you. -Rich
I used to watch these films on TV as a kid and hold up a tape recorder to the speaker to tape the music!

You could just count the dots

Can somebody, write me to the chords of the melody?. I dont now much english and the subtitles are wrong.Pls pls
How do you make your electric guitar sound like that? Im a noob so i need help
1000 subs with no good content it’s just a clean sound with a small amount of overdrive to give it a bit of edge but not distort, with some reverb.
After the second dm, what's he pressing to make the C ? I cant get it to sound right...
Im also having trouble with this did you figure it out?
He’s using a 6 string major bar chord position with a barre on the 8th fret yeah?
Can you show us the slapping pattern please
J.aime bien les vidéos
that's awesome! is it standard tuning?
Mark Monroe it is :)
Cheers Jason its a blinder. Two things: do you have the acoustic track on its own to play along to? and can you review the 3rd last chord on the tab Bb(2)?

How did you get that tone? (What pickup position and how much/if any compression?)
Neck pickup + reverb
