Tina.....I love your channel and tend to binge watch on rainy days such as today! Brilliant idea......you solved a problem for me on making tabs. Hugs to you ❤
You are so clever! So many ladies will be very excited to be able to make the elusive whales tail tab. Also marking the circle punch is such a smart idea.
Tina, you're a genius.. I refuse pay for the punch as well... Thank you so much for sharing your talent and creativity with us, I truly appreciate you.. take care Sweetie 😘
Love the ideas for making tabs. Beautiful tags too! Tabs would be a great mass making. Could even hole punch one edge to make a place to hang a small charm.
I love the scallop one it looks just like a little seashell! I can't believe how creative you are! Thank you so much oh ya and thank you for your amazing digi. Kits my daughter got me you lilac kit for Mother's Day and it's just gorgeous !
This was so helpful. I had been looking at the tab punches too but they cost a lot for how little I would use it. I tried your method and it worked great. Thanks for this.
I'm a long time crafter and a die queen! I have all sorts of dies that cut tabs. They are not expensive either. I refuse to buy punches. Well done with your ideas fo those who don't have dies. TFS!
Thank you soo much Tina for this video. And I assure you people like me need to be watching every step thur out the process. You do awesome work my friend❤😷
I'm in the US and I just happened to luck into getting the whale tail punch for just a few dollars. However, I love the punch you made with the scalloped edges. It can be decorated in so many ways. Thank you for sharing with us. I love it!
Great job! I really like that scalloped oval one. I don’t have a tab punch either and when I went to EBay to see if they had one of the retired whale tail punches.....$68.00!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I do have the 1” round and the corner rounder so I’ll give it a try. Thanks Tina.
Hi Tina, a little tip for you... when you want a crinkly bow, this is how I do it... Use cheap pva glue... Put the ribbon in your hand, add pva until it’s all coated, scrunch it up then put a rubber band around it, then leave it 24 hours until properly dry, as the middle maybe still wet, or put on top of a heat source, I use radiator when they’re on... When dry unravel it and voilà, beautiful crickly ribbon... There is another way to make it look like it’s been around for years too... I’ve been doing these methods for years, not for jj as only just starting on those... But I use faded and crinkley ribbons for my Christmas decorations to make them look vintage
What an Awesome idea using punches for making tabs, absolutely love your idea, Tina! You could also use the envelope punch board to make tabs but I love the idea with the circle punches better lol! TFS! Hoping you and yours are well! Take Care X
Oh thank you so t Kylie. I have had a play with the punches board, these are bigger which is handy for using on tags etc I think. Thank you for saying that you like these better x
Thank you Tina. Yeah I'm with you on not paying the ridiculous price people are asking for the whale tail punch! An Ebay seller is asking for $75.00!!!! That's highway robbery!!!! I've been using the envelope maker to make my tabs and round scalloped punch too. I like your idea on the circle punch and marking it. That's a good tip. Tfs. GOD Bless and be well.
You asked what we think, and I think you are brilliant and so inspiring. Thanks for all the great tutorials and now to try out tabs! Someone below commented that the scalloped tab looks like a sea shell and I was thinking a vintage apron and add ribbon across the top for the apron ties.
I would love to see a mass make as well. I love these little tabs and have been making my own, too, since I do not have a tab punch. Thank you for the video/tutorial! Take care!
Love this idea. Will definitely be using it as I don’t have a tag punch, but the only punch I have is a 1” one so that is great 👍. Thanks again Tina. Stay safe. Xx
OK, I'm 6 minutes in & I have got to say YOU'RE A GENIUS! Like you I refuse to pay for a Tab Punch, this is just pure genius! Thank you so much x Edit: I've watched all the way through now & I still think it's brilliant. I only have a circle punch but I do have dies which I think will work just fine. I feel your pain for being clumsy, I'm so cack-handed that I'm forever making things harder than they need to be. Growing up I held the nick-name 'Calamity Jane'! x
I love these, especially the scalloped edged one - need to buy the punch as I am making a sea/mermaid journal called Seacrets, so would be perfect for the tabs.
Would love to see a mass make. I do something similar with a 2” circle for the base shape and a 1” circle for the corners...you can also add eyelets for charms....
I am learning how to use a touch of bling to complete the look from you! Love the Tabs... been looking at punches and am too cheap for most of them! ha. Thanks for showing us the way! By the way... I am fingers and thumbs everyday! haha...
Nice variety of tabs! I don't have oval punches, but I've cut with a circle punch than used scalloped scissors to cut around half the edge. I kinda prefer lace or fabric as a tab, but then I'm a newbie! 😏 TFS 🤗
These are adorable...I have something that is called a “Tag Punch”...it makes punches that are rounded on the ends...I usually punch them out and fold them in half as tabs... I have a “Punch Board” that I purchased for around $11 but, I prefer the “Tag Punch”...the idea of using the circular punch to enhance the corners is spectacular...I will have to try it...thank you for sharing this... ❤️❤️❤️
Tina, this is a better way to do tabs than that We R Memory punch. I bought it (Ebay) I thought it was a whale tail type and it's not. So disappointed with it. Thank you for this tutorial! Perfect timing!♥️
Great idea for the tabs Tina! Love them a lot! I notice that you use the labels on many of your pieces. What are the labels meant to be used for? I always wondered about that. Tyfs! Stay safe
Hello I am new here. Your crafts are very pretty. I am just curious what you do with a Junk Journal when you're done making it? I am quite lost on what the use of them are.
Depending what angle you put it in the circle punch it can look vastly different each side. I think the tab punch is worth it if you make lots of tabs.
Laying in bed...hahahaha..me to..better than counting Sheep...thats a NZ saying im sure being born their. Always love your videos..even if i dont comment every time ..i watch all that come up..love your accent as well..xxxx
Love starting the day off with you, Tina. ❣️❣️But, I do hope you’re not getting overwhelmed and burned out with so many videos. We can skip a couple of days so you can have a breather and just rest. Hope your vertigo has cleared up. I get it, periodically, no rhyme or reason, but it makes me very sick and I have to lay flat for hours or I vomit from the spinning. Oh, sorry, too much info😂😂😂
Oh I really do empathise, the vertigo is really horrible isn’t it? I know what you mean, I feel like I need to just spend a day laying down to shake it off completely, but I just can’t bring myself to miss out on all the fun we have crafting x
Was searching for a tutorial because I want to make my own tabs without a punch. So glad I found your video! Excellent! Thanks for sharing! 🤗🌻🦋🕊️
Brilliant thanks, you are never wasting our time TFS
Super cute tabs with your tags. Thanks for the tip on how to make different tabs. Love the scallop tabs! Thanks for sharing 😊💝
Thank you for sharing that fabulous idea! I couldn't justify spending the money on a punch either. Thanks again!
Brilliant idea! I love tabs on tags, but never do a very nice job fussy cutting them out, this method saves the day!
Thank you so much for this idea! Appreciate your teaching style, very affirming and encouraging.
Love this Idea. Just order some circle and corner punches to make these and a lot more of your wonderful projects, always so creative . Love this one
Tina.....I love your channel and tend to binge watch on rainy days such as today! Brilliant idea......you solved a problem for me on making tabs. Hugs to you ❤

I enjoy mass makes! I feel like I am not by myself when I sit down to do the same.
Thanks for sharing how you make your own tabs!
Tina, you're a genius.. I refuse pay for the punch as well... Thank you so much for sharing your talent and creativity with us, I truly appreciate you.. take care Sweetie 😘
Beautiful, I can wait to make it, love it,💖💖💖💖💖🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I love the tabs that you created for these beautiful tags.
This tutorial is genius! Thank you I have the whales have a punch but this tutorials shows you so many ways to make others! I love it!
Oh thank you so much Tasha, they're fun aren't they, even if like you you have a whale tail punch x
Genius! LOVE this idea! I never wanted to spend money on that punch either! A mass make would be great.
yes mass make please .... love watching those
The scallop oval looks great without any extra trimming.....!
So cute! Very cleaver! I have all kinds of punches and even a tab punch but these are very creative and pretty.
I made a tab last night with my corner rounder! Thanks so much. This was a great help...
I like your whale tail so much better! Thank you.😊
Love the ideas for making tabs. Beautiful tags too! Tabs would be a great mass making. Could even hole punch one edge to make a place to hang a small charm.

Oh thank you so much Wanda, I love that your daughter bought you one of my digi’s for Mother’s Day x
Genius! I do have a whale tail tab punch, but love the idea of the scallop to change things up! 🦋
Brilliant thanks ever so much . Hugs🇨🇦
Adorable! I really like the lace on there!
This was so helpful. I had been looking at the tab punches too but they cost a lot for how little I would use it. I tried your method and it worked great. Thanks for this.
Great idea Tina! A mass make would be good. Hugs and blessings,🤗❤️

Thank you, I live both of those ideas for the the tabs with the scallops x
I would love to see a mass make as well. I love these little tabs and have been making my own, too, since I do not have a tab punch.
Thank you for the video/tutorial!

Tina, you have done it again. Awesome idea. I'm so going to use this.
Very cute thanks for the ideas!
Love this idea. Will definitely be using it as I don’t have a tag punch, but the only punch I have is a 1” one so that is great 👍. Thanks again Tina. Stay safe. Xx
Oh that’s awesome Carole, have fun making some little tabs, they’re really cute aren’t they? X
You are so sweet. Awesome training. Beautiful work.
You are my favorite crafter also.
One of the best tips ever - thank you!!

Oh thank you so much Sue, I am really pleased that this is timely for you. A mermaid journal sounds awesome x
Would love to see a mass make. I do something similar with a 2” circle for the base shape and a 1” circle for the corners...you can also add eyelets for charms....
Having coffee before work, and watching my favorite crafter! ❤️
This is a great idea TFS 👍
Thanks, great idea 😊
Love this thank you.
this is wonderful Tina - now i can "tab" away lol - thank you!!!! xx
Fabulous ideas!!!
Thanks for sharing. It works..
Loved video. Please advise on storage methods for those pictures, numbers etc. Thank you..

Thank you so much Nancy, lace and fabric as tabs is an awesome choice too x
You are so brilliant! Just what I was looking for! And correct about the extortionate price of some things!
How clever! Love this! TFS!❤️
Genius my dear!! TFS ❣️🌻💜🦋💙🐞
You so creative

Thank you so much Susan, yes, they are a little on the small side aren’t they? X
thx so much for sharing
Great idea!
Hey, this was a great idea. I cut mine larger then cut them in half to give me 2 tabs and just cut the shape to perfection. Thank you for this idea.
Thank you! I do not have any special punches for tabs and this is really so good, I’m glad I didn’t ever buy one!
Great idea for the tabs Tina! Love them a lot! I notice that you use the labels on many of your pieces. What are the labels meant to be used for? I always wondered about that. Tyfs! Stay safe
Thank you Barbara. The labels are just little journalling spots x
Okay....are you a mind reader?? LOL I was just trying to figure this out, late last night!! This is amazing! Thank you for sharing!!! ❤🥰❤🥰❤🥰❤
Thank you so much for this. I have stood with the tab punch in my hands so many times and then left it because it is so expensive.
So Cute. Never thought of this. TFS.
Cool neat idea 😍👍 I just used any shape for tabs 😅 fold the shape in half and glue it on 😅
Hello I am new here. Your crafts are very pretty. I am just curious what you do with a Junk Journal when you're done making it? I am quite lost on what the use of them are.
looked up that tab punch on eBay and its now a whopping 100.00 us , thats insane so thank you .
Oh my gosh, that's ridiculous, hopefully it is a very temporary increase!!! x
Depending what angle you put it in the circle punch it can look vastly different each side. I think the tab punch is worth it if you make lots of tabs.
Yes I agree Celia the tab punch is worth it if you’re going to make lots of tags xx
Try using the Tab file punch board from "We R memory keeps" much cheaper .I love using my board to make tabs.
Are whale tabs Staples or glued onto to top of tag. Is glue strong enough?
❤️❤️❤️
I starting to prefer a tab top instead of eyelets. Shall keep eyes open for a ovel scallop
Could you round the edges of the top with the opposite side of the round punch. Just push the paper in a bit farther.
Great idea, might give that a try x
When you coffee dye how do you keep your papers etc so flat ? When I do mine they lift and go bumpy lol x
Stephanie Addy iron them.
I do have to iron them sadly x
Laying in bed...hahahaha..me to..better than counting Sheep...thats a NZ saying im sure being born their. Always love your videos..even if i dont comment every time ..i watch all that come up..love your accent as well..xxxx

I had tried this but had problems lining my circle punch just right. Never thought to make a couple of marks on the punch 😳😁
It really helps doesn’t it? X
🙂🌞🇨🇦
What color of ink are you using???
Vintage Photo x
