Went on the last tour of the night in 2021, I caught the janitor in a picture down in his room in the basement. Caught him in the bathroom mirror, love this place so much! It is truly beautiful ❤

Me and wife stayed at a large haunted bed and breakfast in Saratoga NY and there was a snow storm so everyone else had cancelled so we were the only ones there. It was around holidays so it was pretty but def extra creepy.
Love Jenn's nails so art deco to match the scary bathroom colours, which is definitely Art Deco style, as is the fabulous elevator!!! Classy!!!

He did make violins. Back in the early 80s, my mother and I attended a concert in the music room of the Stanley. 2 students from university of Northern Colorado were performing with 2 of the violins he made. It was beautiful. Thank you for this video. I remember the Stanley going way back to the mid 60s. It was really grand then.
I stayed in the Stanley before the renovations and it definitely had more of a creepy vibe. Glad you got to stay there! I adore Estes! Glad you’re enjoy CO!

237 could be a closet or laundry room. I know in some of my college dorms, they would use higher numbers for closets, laundry, and the toilet and shower rooms in my freshman dorm (it has a weird layout)

In the Book he hits the kid while drunk long before ever going to the hotel. The movie didn’t make him violent it is in the first few chapters of the book king wrote himself. He is just changing his story over time to hide his own issues.
I think that too. I think this story shows so much more. When people are isolated for mong periods the shadows of them selfs will show up. All those things they have pushed down will go up to the surface. I think this story showe that so well. I have a hypthesis of this movie. I see A guy who wants to give a shining. To look like a grate father, husband and writer. But he actually wants to party all night an meet other men.

The mini series is great definitely get a copy, I think the hotel sells copies, at least when I was there. It really features the hotel and I remember watching the series with my mom when it came out and I would dream of visiting that hotel one day. The actors who play Jack and Wendy are good, Jack isn't as intense lol.

Thanks for showing this. I have always liked this movie and people still talks about the shining. The acutall shining is the shine the protsgonist behaviour. He pretends to be someone he isn't and the isolation makes him "explode".
I have my hypothesis about this movie. The protsgonist (played by Jack Nicholson) is secetrely loving men. He is just having a wife and a kid just because society wants him to do that. When he gets isolated and stressed his shadowpersona tskes over. He actually wants to party, drink and meet other men. But he haves his responsibilities to be a husband, father and an authour. He is pushed from every way and he freaks out. In one scene close to the ending, for some secounds, you can see two men being intimate. They have masks on them. This small glimps in the moovie gave me an A + in movie analysis. It was forbidden for a man to love a other man in these times and to even think about it. I think staley wanted to tell us something more with this movie. For me It's a story about what isolation could pull out of persons anf how much a person could hide from him self and those close to him untill it all brakes. Just like the blood from the elevstors.

We attended a wedding at the Hotel Stanley in 1997 and stayed in a room. The room rate at that time was 112 per night and we thought it was pricy😅. It was a beautiful wedding and a wonderful stay but unfortunately the marriage didn’t take. Enjoyed your video brought back great memories.

TAPS did document paranormal activity on their equipment. TAPS has been at the Stanley Hotel 3 different times conducting ghost hunts.
