It's July and Byul did take a break of sorts by giving up one of her jobs -- hosting Moon Night on Naver. Though I'll miss the ritual of tuning in to the the show every week (while simultaneously reading the translations on Twitter) I know it's all for the best because she can lighten her load, slow down a bit and concentrate on her health and well-being. sadly, moonbyul is dealing with what most of us during our lifetimes will have to deal with at least once. we may not make the money she does but, we all deal with the stress and overwhelming workload of having to make that money in order to pay our bills...and if lucky, a better life.
some have to deal with it without the support of loved ones. some have at least one person to help them through it. whether you are responsible to just yourself or you have others depending on you pulling some of the load it can be hell on the body, mind and soul.

And they are global believe me. BUT!!! Pay attention here to what was said to you and maybe what I have to say. Your choice. I am 75 and probably your oldest US fan. And I understand your work ethic more than a lot of other people. I had the same problem. I would work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and did that for most of my life until I was forced to retire because of heart failure. Like you, I worked all of the time and when I had time off, it was always spent preparing for the next job, wherever that was. Just like your camping car series. You are working not relaxing. Take some time for yourself. Leave the cameras and crew at home. Believe me your body will pay for this work ethic in your later years. You already know something about this, but we will let that go. Take time for yourself and let your body and soul heal in peace. The ones that really love you will always be there for you and will always be happy that you are taking care of yourself. Do NOT wait until it is too late like I did. You only have one heart, Take good care of it. Like your mind. Lastly, please give Solar, Wheein, and Hwasa a hug and tell them you love them. Now be careful about hugging Hwasa, we all know what she may do. But share this with them. They all love you very much.

Yes. it was right before the release of Cheese in the Trap. Even though it didn't coincide with her promotion period, but because of being +ve, she had a hard time practicing and performing on stage due to the post side effects affecting her still, including weak lungs and the lost of appetite (her body normally had a hard time keeping her weight, e.g. during comeback period or like during +ve and she didn't eat properly, she would lose a lot of weight, especially her muscles..).

It has always been there, it's just that now idols are more opened on their issues and they are probably allowed to talk about it more than in the past. Expressing it is better for them, to avoid some of the past tragedies
Because society has made their careers about satisfying everyone else. They can't work for their own enjoyment, they don't have the opportunity to use their talent to pursue personal challenges and grow their artistry because everyone else is deciding what they should do for them. I wish really talented artists like Moonbyul could find real enjoyment and even relief in their work...I feel really sad that her job (something that I love because she's so good) stresses her out so much. I wish I could tell her that she's already won most of us over...that we already trust her to push her own boundaries, to experiment, to have fun...that even if she fails it's fine because we know she'll try again...and probably put out some great content in the process. It just needs to be for herself, and not for everyone else.
@@sakyon6621 Agreed. Mental health issues have always been around, but it's less of a taboo topic now. Idols suffer depression just like the rest of the population. From a young age they've had to sacrifice a lot of things to train and debut as artists, and they are constantly under public scrutiny. I'm sure they appreciate the love and attention from fans, but there is probably just as much, if not more, hate and judgment from others. It can be a negative environment, and a very damaging one to their self-worth if they don't have a strong support system and resilient mindset. I'm glad they're more open to talking about it now. :)
