@@henry_barnabaswell. Assume you extract coordinates from global mapper as you did, what comes first? Eastings or northings? And what would happen if I imported points to civil 3d using PNEZD format instead of PENZD which you used?
The description of each column will always be at the top, and so you can know which comes first. Don't forget that you can switch the position of columns in excel by a simple cut and paste. The implecation of using the opposite format is simple that it would take you to somewhere else on the globe; you would evidently notice the distorted orientation.
thank u so much HB for the brief and very clear lectures on auto cad usage. BUT my question is how do i calculate earth work cut and fill for a wider are like air field by comparing surfaces
It's simple, create an existing surface with your point data, then use grading tools to create a graded surface. Then you'll create a Volume surface, and set the existing as base surface and the graded surface as the comparison surface, this will generate the cut and fill
Hello Sir! Kindly allow me to ask., What if for instance I'm from Kenya yet our country is located in the Southern Hemisphere, and our coordinate system starts with South then East, and now here comes my question., Which point format will I use between the PNEZD or PENZD, or is there any other that I should use specifically?
Not every! It depends on the laptop specification. Check the requirements of the particular version you intend to install and make sure your laptop meets it.
Awesome teaching! The way you teach is perfect. It is very helpful for me, and I recommend it to all engineers who practice with data remotely.
This guy has excellence in most things if not all...thanks for your tutorials,i can get you loud n clear from Kenya.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad it helped you
thats amazing, saved a lot of my time, love from Nepal
Thank you so much Henry for your good tutorials. A question to you; what's the difference between PENZD and PNEZD and which one should one use?
If your "Eastings" comes before your "Northings", then use PENZD; if its the other way round, use PNEZD.

Well done Boss...
Wowwww.....great....hope you make a video about how to come up with pipe culvert shop drawings
May God continue to bless you

Thanks a lot for your contributions to Highway Engineer.
If not mine, Will you prepare a multi conditional cut/fill tutorial
Thanks
Hopefully.
Thank you for the Tutorials Engineer
My pleasure, Engineer Madaki!
another great tutorial master. is the global mapper free to download?🥰
Yes, just a Google search away.
Thank you so much Eng Henry
You are very welcome, Nankunda.
Pls can u make a video on designing of bridge with civil 3d
Hello henry
Wich laptop do you using for civil 3d?
Plz share full spec of laptop
Thank you
I currently use HP Zb Gaming PC
32g RAM
1TB SSD
NVIDIA Quadro M1200
Engineer please kindly drop a video on how to design a roundabout.
God bless you
I will
I will.
Thank you Sir!
Thanks for sharing, Can you please share a video on design of interchange. Thanks
I'm working on such and many more
great job engr
Hi this is rahman from Saudi Arabia there is any satellite images or DEM to collect minimum accurate xyz data for topography survey
Yeah, there are many tools to extract that. Global Mapper is 1
Pls new design video
MUCH THANKS
Thank you.
What software are you using to record the screen and zoom the screen at the same time?
Camtasia
That's correct, @yaxya
Engineer please can this Civil 3D software work on every HP system?
Not every! It depends on the laptop specification.
Check the requirements of the particular version you intend to install and make sure your laptop meets it.
how to loop design in Civil 3d
How do you mean?
14:20 what precision error difference did you get from the data source in real survey data and srtm data?
By estimate, sometimes as negligible as 10 to 20cm, other times, wider than a meter
hello, you've got excellent CAD videos. Can I get a hold of you for consultations on CAD? It would be great via an email.
Sure.
