- Throughout History there were many different execution methods used to take the life of a condemned prisoner who had been found guilty of a number of crimes. Inside of Spain the Garrote was a common method of execution, and executioners developed a machine to be able to do this in a more efficient way. The earliest executions using Garrote saw an executioner strangling the life out of someone, but the Garrote machine then used a blade to bring the life of someone to an end.

One of the more modern Bond films had this type of execution method. It was set in Istanbul in an island in the Bosporus where Bond is restrained into a chair and has a neck brace that is being slowly tightened while a block of wood is extended into his neck at the back. The idea was that it would rupture the vertebra before causing an agonizing death. Needless to say he escapes…

Gosh are you kidding me. If you are too sensitive to watch videos on the history of executions and torture you don’t have to. And you don’t have to judge people who watch them either. That’s uncalled for. I am not a bad person just because I study the history of execution and torture methods and devises. I am definitely not a bad person just for reenacting the executioner at medieval reenactment events. I have to say honesty you are wrong. If you don’t like something and you clearly can’t handle history when it may be disturbing then just don’t comment don’t watch the videos. Just be respectful and don’t negatively impact others with narrow minded comments.
