I read about it before, eunuch actually has quite a lot of power for example in Chinese court where they caused war and actually controlling the kings (eunuch system was then adopted by the Korean), most low born boys probably end up died young, farmers, or very low prospect, but being eunuch give them certain guarantee for a better life and power.

@@Huathemulgogi I heard that eunuchs were often allowed to get married and to adopt children :) Also, when castrated after puberty they are still able to get an erection and have sex (they are not fertile though) because the adrenal gland still produces a small amount of testosterone.

Aww! This the best video I have seen the portrayal of eunuchs in the old days. Besides being castrated, they should get paid better than those officials. I love the punishment of ‘facing the wall’ if they displease their princes/princesses. Being a personal confidant , assistant, and all around friend isn’t such a bad deal come to think of it. No bullying though.
