The secret life of my secretary. And I just finished watching About Time yesterday. And I'm now watching Protect the Boss. And I realised that trend that being a secretary in Korea you have to be like at the boss's every whim as the OG comment said. Personal assistant, driver, maid, date to a function etc.... Even in the dramas that the secretaries(whether male or female) is not the main focus of the drama. I realised that's what happens. Like in About Time, you sometimes even have to be a secretary to your Boss' guest.(at least for a period if time) And it was also I think exaggerated for some comedic effect lol. (The relationship and comments between Lee Do San and Wo Jin got me laughing😂) And in About Time(I just finished watching that's why I'm referencing it so much) the secretary had a freaking law degree and was earning like a serious amount as a lawyer(but I think he got fired or something, they didn't really go into detail about his back story) yet the way he was at his boss's every whim and was like his personal assistant got me confused.

I like that at the end was the "Bosses" thanking their secretaries and telling them 잘했어요 good job. No matter how "cracked" their relationship are they have created this bond of friendship and some of them love.
Aand the reality: We have a ton of workload and on top of that we are babysitters for grown up men and women... and they are not good looking but mostly old and whiney and they can't do the simplest things on their own... but in dramas at least we look kinda cool

An exception is CLOY, the ending was not a really happy one but realistic one and the drama was so insanely good that I can accept it. 😂
