But you really made the effort to the arrangement sound like an ice skating performance. I don't know if it makes sense at all, but I could really imagine a gracious ice skating performance as I saw your fingers dancing across the screen. I could imagine an audience cheering after the last spin, and stuffed animals being trown at the ice. (I could also imagine this being played at some point at Yuri and Victor's wedding, lol) I may not be a qualified musician, but even someone who's not classically trained can see how much you're improving in arrangements, and it inspires me so much it almost hurts, ugh. (Oh, I just read the description. So the ice skating performance in my head really makes sense. Thank you)

You playing this song holds a special place in my heart, because it represents the first time we met in person 3 years ago, the day before your 2017 Animenz Live Shanghai concert. I can still recall, imprinted crystal clear in my memory, the sound of you casually improvising variations to History Maker at Harmonic Studio, rehearsing for the big show the next day as the other piano bros and I listened along. Arrangement Thoughts: The thing that stood out most to me about this cover was the emphasis placed on the secondary melodies and voicing. Most notable moment for me in this regard was the piercing ascending "bell tones" at 1:03. High notes scattered throughout, especially the patterns at 1:43 and 2:14, feel like sparkling ice (this was written before reading your video description, i swear. Guess you did a good job of invoking your feelings through the music :) ) There was also more liberal use throughout of scale runs and arpeggiated ornaments compared to the last few uploads, and reminiscent of your older works. The cycling arpeggios (3:39) especially remind me of the ending of your *City of Eternity (Kyousougiga OST) cover from 2013* . Even the left hand progression sounds similar! That's one of my favorite and a quite underrated one of your older works. Really loved this cover, especially the smooth, rolling, skating-like feeling that it invoked. Well, since I have more time now due to the corona quarantine, I am currently remaking all my live concert improvisation by adding all those small details I have missed out in the past. It is really fun revisiting old songs and re-imagining it! Thank you for you feedback as always!
The alternating arpeggios and scales in the left hand and right hand gave the song a more flowy feeling which it didn’t have before (I think it’s pretty fitting considering it’s an ice skating anime) and seriously this arrangement had so many awesome elements like the ascending octave run at 3:37 and the transition from that had amazing chords. Also the part at 3:12 was so SMOOTH the left hand was just awesome this whole arrangement was so nostalgic and I lgot chills from multiple parts. God tier as always ❤️❤️❤️❤️

he already is #1 as far as youtube is concerned imo. His structure, and variations of the melody are almost always true to the original and portray a sequence (like a story) like no other anime pianist. And to add on top of that he arranges amongst the most difficult of anime arrangements.

I always feel happy when I listen to the opening or the OST and so did I when I heard your cover. I really like it, especially those trills (they aren't trills but Idk how else to call them) at 2:43 - 2:58 , they add something extra to the whole song. Since I read your description before hearing your cover, I already knew about the ice skating performance, but I think I could have imagined it even without reading the description, since the music got quiet and slower for a moment. (at 1:57) just like as the dancer did a pirouette and he gets slower and slower as he spins around. I think that's what made it easier for me to imagine your performance..

I just wanted to say, since I started watching you've always been an awesome pianist but watching how your music has changed over the years is truly spectacular. I find that you use the pedal in a greater variety of ways now, you develop tension even better (imo) and just have more tools to create the beautiful music you always have. Keep it up! I always feel happy when I listen to the opening or the OST and so did I when I heard your cover. I really like it, especially those trills (they aren't trills but Idk how else to call them) at 2:43 - 2:58 , they add something extra to the whole song.
Since I read your description before hearing your cover, I already knew about the ice skating performance, but I think I could have imagined it even without reading the description, since the music got quiet and slower for a moment. (at 1:57) just like as the dancer did a pirouette and he gets slower and slower as he spins around. I think that's what made it easier for me to imagine your performance..
