Two Words; 'Rhasidat Adeleke' & her stupendous 48.45 split which helped IRL to 3rd place in their 3rd NR of the meet following yesterday's back-to-back 49.64 & 49.48 splits. Well done to Sharlene Mawdsley (50.12 split) for digging in real deep on anchor vs Femke! Sharlene can absolutely improve her 23.18/51.09 PBs this yr & become a consistent sub 23/51s sprinter!
Exactly - magnificent run by Adeleke. I think Mawdsley's run was also very impressive and nearly sub 50.
Adeleke absolutely carried Ireland to a bronze here. She just showed at these relays that she will be a very tough athlete to beat this year. After what I’ve seen here, I think she’s going to find a way to medal individually in the 400m in Paris, no matter who contests it.
It's a team event. Invariably each team will have a strongest team member. Ireland are finalists and outside medal chances without her too.
I think Mawdsley had a fantastic run also - almost sub 50.
@@Ligerpride lol..adeleke carried that team on her back....without her fckin ireland does not qualify...
@@JP-fd4vf And she did run a sub 50 split last year in Budapest, so she definitely deserves credit. I definitely didn’t intend to disrespect the rest of the Irish team with this comment, but rather highlight the incredible race from Adeleke.
