There is an easy way to cheese this Trial... You don't actually have to catch the gauntlet...
If you use the "Power Shredder" weapon technique, the shredder will explode on impact and WILL count towards the trials goal.
2 power shots and your done. I was struggling to do this trial until i learned this trick

3 Bellowbacks spewing acid and freeze, a god damn rolly polly is shooting rocket fire out it's ass while I'm trying to aim, charge, and catch a disc 6 times. Fuck this trial.

Same. I kept this one I bought and moved on to play in the game but never used this. Such a cool looking weapon but I just prefer bow/arrow as I got used to it from Game 1.

You can change difficulty. There are no difficulty trophies or achievements.

How do you actually do the catch? Do you need to hit a key to catch it, or just be in the proximity on the return? (That was so hard. Tried for about 6 hrs straight. I think because my skills were nearly maxed out, things were exploding before 3rd volley each time. That made it extremely frustrating)

Just be in position. Use the crappy shredder the Hunter sells. Turn up the machines’ health after killing the first two as instructed. Settings, difficulty, custom, machines (normal, hard or v hard)

If you throw the shredder while moving left, keep moving left. It'll come back to you everytime. Same thing goes for moving to the right. Just keep moving in the same direction you were when you threw it. Shows you how little this guy actually knows for someone making tips videos.
