If you guys are playing TCG I would suggest Kashtira Fenrir (If the budget allows it) and Vernusylph (Which is very budget).
Fenrir is just a really insane monster to have in general.
Vernusylphs can help with special summons in general as well as various nifty tricks like dumping any Earth monster in the GY and summoning that off of the Karakuri Equip or another Vernusylph.
Oh! Oh! I almost forgot but Therion King Regulus is also very good in the deck for an early omni negate while the Therion field spell helps with battle protection and searching Regulus.
If strictly playing MD, I would recommend running Instant Fusion with a lvl 5 machine fusion monster. Naturia Beast might also come in clutch. Since everything is Earth and you have level 2 and 3 monsters you can make her as well for massive spell negates.

Karakuri is pretty neat, but it's crazy how much resources this deck eats up rarity-wise and advantage-wise compared to something like Swordsoul. It's incredibly committal, as synchro boss boards should be.

Karakuri is very much a glass cannon. It’s very powerful when it gets a full board but once the board is broken it’s hard to comeback.

I don't play Swordsouls, but from the numerous duels I have seen, I think they're successful because they generate tokens for Synchro summons (with their in deck monsters), while their Synchro monsters banish from the gy for additional advantage.
The only Synchro deck I've personally played are Vylons (which are too dependent on their normal summon 😅 ) but using up resources for one Synchro summon is probably why most Synchro archetypes don't see play :(

Fighting Karakuri is a puzzle. It's really fun to use, but against you, you actually gotta use your brain!

Karakuri can be played as a pure deck, but it has issues with flexibility without something else supporting it. Personally, I like putting Train (Earth Machine Level 10) into the mix, as well as some Infinitrack. But if you just want a pure deck, it'll get you to Silver, definitely.
