- In Netflix's "V Wars," Dr. Luther Swann (Ian Somerhalder) enters a world of untold horror when a mysterious disease transforms his best friend, Michael Fayne, into a murderous predator who feeds on other humans. As the disease spreads, society fractures into opposing camps pitting normal people against these “vampires.” Swann races against time to understand what’s happening, while Fayne rises to become the leader of the vampires.

They cancel shows with the best mysterious concepts but make extra seasons for shows that don’t even need any extension!
Ian is so cultured on the planet and the earth and that’s what I love about him😌
I have to admit I kinda had my doubts about this show, tbh the description never seemed that interesting to me, but with Ian explaining all of the social, environmental, economic and scientific aspects of the show, I'm actually really excited to check it out! I love the fact that vampires were created by science in this show and not by magic like in TVD! I also can't wait to see him and Nikki together on screen! Team Damon and Rosalie ;) ♥

Great interview. I met Ian at Barnes and Nobles in LA, with Adrian Holmes. Great guys. Super down to earth and nice. I loved VWARS and really want SEASON 2!!

I Remember first seeing Ian in a TV series called Young Americans anybody else remember that show?
How prophetic this show was, since we’re in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. After all of Ian’s and everyone’s hard work, it’s too bad V-Wars was cancelled after the first season. It would have been so timely for where we are now.

Thanks to you Ian I have gone back to my vegatarian roots before b.c or before kids I was at my healthiest weight and goal weight at 23 because I was walking to my job that took an hour and a half there and an hour and a half home ,not forgetting my job as head of skincare in the original Soul Pattinson's building which I think is heritage listed I would climb 4 to five flights a day plus walk home an hour and a half and then go running to wear myself out because I was ADHD and an insomniac ....so you see the level of fitness I had was equivalent to an athlete's and I now currently have that athlete's mindset and metabolism back through healthy diet and changes in my choices 💓I feel my boys are proud of my achievements worried I may have a heart attack , but in all truthfulness I have not been this fit since I was in my 20's Soni am.literally reshaping my future

V wars is an amazing serial from the beginning to the very end, ending was just EPIC. I hope there will be second season and in second season I hope it would be awesome to see the reunion of Salvatore brothers and I hope for more Nikki Reed she was not main character but she any way was amazing in this serial specially when she attacked her real housband Ian Somerhalder that was amazing scene Nikki is just amazing actress. I really have hopes for a second season. I starting liking Ian Somerhalder again he is great actor and so is his wife Nikki Reed.

It's kinda heartbreaking watching this like now after the cancellation Netflix did with V-wars, the show was awsome!!! Saw the whole season and it was a very creative intriguing show that well deserved a second season. I dunno I feel like the critics robbed this show from us audiences who clearly gave it a very positive review. Netflix needs to take the show back for a second season. Bring V-Wars back Netflix.
I Love Him and he is handsome on whatever he is in... .I missed his presence... I love this show I have a thing for Vampires and Werewolves although these vamps are hideous looking and not the sexy things I am used to.
I'm loving this series.
It reminds me of "The Strain".
But the main antagonist is sympathetic.
All the characters are so complex.
And the show is visually stunning.

He kinda favors the guy who played the lead role in the lost boys, back in 1987. And also, a touch of Rob Lowe. This dude looks legit like a vampire.
This show was really good but one concern how he was a nice scientist to 4 months later looking like a hardcore war mercenary
If you go through a really intense training regimen you can really change yourself in a short amount of time (like, even a month can give amazing results). The superhero movie actors often have to go through that, for example, there's videos around that show some of those kind of routines (Buzzfeed has a couple videos that I know of).

I love all vampires, from the goriest to the sparkliest and everything inbetween! I enjoyed this and I think it's just like he states, this first season is setting up the others which i'm looking forward to.

I do think it’s crazy that when he finally comes back to acting it’s a vampire show but I think its great that the books/show combined vampires and the scientific, save the world, take care of the earth etc., that he is so passionate about, also he got to play a doctor. Anyways I loved the show can’t wait till the next season, might read the books, the only thing I kind of didn’t like was the teeth on the show b/c they were so big and they came out of the characters mouth but I guess it made them more scary and it distinguishes the differences between the bloods.
