I’m willing to bet that most of your audience aren’t actually intermediate/advanced lifters yet. I’d love to see a video on how to build a program in the app for a beginner, or someone returning to training after a long layoff.
Yes exactly! Love to see full body or 4 day splits like he often talk about. Probably more people would benefit!
There's an old series on RP RUclips for building your first beginner program.
I think it's 5 videos and it's brilliant.
New people lift stuff, get stronger
Mike has said many times that as a beginner, it doesn't really matter what you do😂
Whole point of the app is to do all the work for the beginners, so that they only have to move the right weight with the right form
As a software developer, I fucking appreciate the app interface holy shit
I could not stop thinking the same while watching lol
Love this 🔥🔥🔥
I am functional analyst and I really appreciate workout builder. I spend a lot of time bulding random workouts I never actually do lol
Likewise bro. I was in testing and this looks so damn good.
This is what the Strong app should've been if the dev hadn't abandoned it.
Can’t stress enough what a fan I am of this, possibly the most effective advertising imaginable for the RP hypertrophy app
Agreed
Ya, as soon as he said that I stopped watching the video.
@@BrutalSnuggles askers?
completely agree
Dude yes! I was planning on trying the RP app after my deload end of May. This video 100% answered all of my questions.
Awesome video. Love this stuff! Prostate hypertrophy next pls.
I hear it benefits greatly from a deep stretch.
@tiinan375 don't forget to squeeze (at) the top
If there's an exercise for that, Dr.Mike has tried it.
aging
He's going to need extra large hands.
I build my own workout sort of like a Choose Your Own Adventure book from the scholastic book fair back in the day. Walk in, wanting to do legs (jk), see a bench is open: select that path. Ask my magic 8 ball how many sets and reps to do. Hit bench, need to do shoulder press or incline next, all the adjustable benches near the DBs are taken, see the leg press is open: choose that path and use it to do vertical pressing. Ask 8 ball, repeat. Ask 8 ball, repeat, and so on and so forth until the 500mg of caffeine wears off.
Book fair nostalgia is real

Basically me after thinking that I'm finally gonna do one day of the perfect optimal workout I've been building for 3 years after the 50th time I've walked into the gym.

PLEASE do more of these videos! I want to see the whole-body routines and whatever else you got!
This might be the best and the most useful commercial I've ever seen
It's crazy to me how many people are in the beginning of their fitness journey and privy to this quality of information.
well youtube is full of content nowadays. A lot of bad information but at least you can get to good one by trial and error. When I was starting out there was almost nothing just couple of fitness oriented forums lol
Man the videos keep getting better and better. It's an insane amount of useful information, mixed with perfect advertising for your app. Been following this channel for a while and you never disappoint.
Please keep doing these videos! I built my own routine based on your videos and love the insight.
Damnit Dr Mike. I've been doing my training in my notepad for so long that I basically do all this stuff anyway but you are selling me more and more on the convenience of this every time I see it in action. It's easier for me to pretend it's not a thing when I don't see it but being able to pin the note about machine settings and have it pop up on those days may have just sold me on it. Damn you and your good products.
I'm loving this video.
Currently in week 5 of a 3 day full body M/W/F.
I built my program by following the RP "build your first beginner program" videos.
It's kicking my ass. 😂
Thanks for your content 🙏🏻
You are the best. ❤
I needed this video. I’ve been using the app for a 6 week meso. I messed up the first week and had to rebuild. Finally getting the hang of it. A video like this would have helped me tremendously in the beginning. I’ve learned that I’ve had way too much junk volume. This app is freaking awesome.
Finally a Sissy squat focused program 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Dr. Mike!
This was one of my favorite videos. Just got the RP Hypertrophy app a couple weeks ago and love it. I’ll be referencing this video and hopefully more in the future when I do my next program.
Great video, and what an intuitive interface, holy mackerel!
Would definitely appreciate more videos like this, especially 4 day ones.
just got back from an 11 hour work day coaching, got dinner made and this video appears... blessed
I love this video and I'm only 7 minutes in. It answers a lot of the common questions that pop up in the Facebook group. ✅
I really love this kind of content! I would love to see more examples of different splits and what a full plan might look like so I can work on my own plan.
It's awesome to have a whole app dedicated to planning out your Role-Playing routine.
Double laptop Mike is too dangerous to be left unchecked
This is the type of video I really like. I do enjoy everything else RP offers, but one of the things I still want to work on designing work outs.
As someone who recently got the app but was struggling slight with using it, this is a very helpful video. Appreciate it.
That was really cool to hear the logic and see the app in action. For what it's worth I'd really appreciate seeing a beginner friendly routine being built.
Love this type of content! Very informative especially for beginners like me to know what to expect later on in our journey when we get more advanced.
Okay, you convinced me. I'll download the app.
Bruh...
from kenya with respect to you, Sir.
You changed how i train in the gym
Love this format! Keep it coming! I'd be interested in how you would structure a 3-day fullbody plan.
Absolutely love this stuff. I was dying for yall to show us how to make a mesocycle in the app, since I've been debating on whether or not to get in on it. This helped a lot! Thanks Dr. Mike!
Have had the app for 6 months. It’s unbelievably easy to use and has transformed my training
Yes. I love the app. Auto regulation, easy workout building....it is the best workout tracker/builder out there. Having it adjust based on your feedback is exactly what I needed. It has helped me a ton.
Heyy Mike, loved the vid, seen a bunch of yours but I think this was the first showcasing the app and congrats it looks smooth.
Looking forward for an all around 4 day build. Much love ❤
Awesome to see a full plan details out like this.
Would love to see one based on that "Superhero look" people rave about. Chest, shoulders, back, quads.
Hey dr mike, just wanted to say this was an amazing video. i'd love it if you do more of these! it was excellent, insightful and gave clear explanations on why you chose each exercise!!
Awesome video Mike! As someone who spent 10 years in structured football weight programs, it’s refreshing to see how you would structure a program for different goals. It’s also interesting to see which aspects carry over. Thanks!
This is fantastic! I'd love to see a back focused one next
May I just say that your corporate and personal success is a goddam inspiration. Also, the new channel icon looks sick!
Definitely chest focus workouts would be helpful. 3-4 training days/week. Thanks Mike!
This walkthrough gives me all the more reason to want the RP Hypertrophy app (and no I’m not a paid sponsor), but the video is helpful enough on its own as well! Would love to see more videos like this!
Awesome! Been following the channel for some.months and very curious about the app. It looks very good!
Been using the app for about 10 days. Love it so far. Looking forward to seeing growth.
i'm sorry? it's been 10 days and still no growth?! the app must not work then!!!
Longest commercial I’ve ever watched Doc but I loved it
Amazing video & amazing app. Would love more.
Im enjoying your app thus far. Im a 52 year old guy who lifted intensly for a year and then stopped for about 6 years. Im working on getting back to the same condition i was in 6 years ago and then pushing forward from there. I believe strength training is important to getting the most out of those "golden years." While getting jacked isnt the end goal for a guy my age, being strong and relevant is. That doesnt mean i dont want to look good and build my physique it just means I get it that age robs you of certain things. Thanks for everything you share and a great app.
Awesome video ,saved for referencing, keep these up please!!!
Love this def do more of these!
Dr. Mike, this one is absolutely brilliant. I use the diet app, but not the hypertrophy app. Thus, I'm writing my own stuff, and have done for years. That said, I've never had a coach, and have always wondered whether the processes I go through in my head to build out my programs are valid. This video has given me a lot of feedback on both positive and negative things I've been doing.
More of this type please. This is awesome stuff. Thanks mate.
Im unhappy with my currently 5 days training split, can't wait to give this one a try!! thank you Dr. Mike
I’d love this kind of series. Good video!
These kind of videos are something I will be for sure be watching! Please make more dr mike👉🥺👈🙏🙏
Hi Dr. Mike! I would really appreciate it if you could do the 3 day full body workout video :) By the way, thank you and all of your team (and guests) for the videos you put out. We say it all the time, but it's always worth repeating that it's a blessing to have access to all the information you share with us, and always explained in the most effective and fun ways! Thank y'all 🙏
Nice actually seeing the app in use instead of the somewhat blackbox it felt like to me before. Good call :)
Just finished my first 4 week meso with a chest and back bias. Absolutely love the app
I personally would love to see more Dr. mike workout building episode. Specifically may I request a 3 day chest emphasized workout routine. I'll definitely be picking up the Hypertrophy app, this was an excellent showcase of the awesome capabilities of this tech!
This was incredibly useful, thank you
As a jiu jitsu practitioner Dr. Mike I would have assumed you would have been exposed to laying curls a long time ago. I've taught for awhile now and and my instructor in the mid 1980s used "back to front" or awkward/off angle strength movements from the very start with us to build support muscles groups but it slo developed strength against normal movement ranges for highly developed functional strength. I have no idea what the modern kinesiology take is on these exercises but they saved my joints on a LOT of occasions. Great video Doc thanks.
Without question, more of this series please. Besr advertising for the app yet imo and incredibly insightful.
Great vid! I'm enjoying 4 day split Upper-Lower-Upper-Lower now, it would be amazing to get some inspiration and insights for such a program from you.
The notes/pin feature is something I've needed for awhile. Didn't realize RP had it. As a home gym owner, I need to make lots of notes for my cable machine.
Definitely love routine building content. Keep it up!
Great video. Def do more. This app looks amazing. I’d try it (and appreciate the no pressure sales technique) but I’m old and wedded to my excel sheets. 😂
Love this shit. Definitely need more! You should do a 5 day and a 6 day balanced plan.
Love this format. Im after a beginner 3 day-a-weeker!
Seriously your content is dope and on point BUT mixed in with your comedic dialog is outstanding Mike
Great video!! I loved the content!
This is the kind of stuff that got me into learning more about exercise and fitness from RP. I know the clickbait stuff works for you but bring more of this design and thinking stuff to balance out the channel
Ms. Viewer here 😛Excited to watch a program build. I love my RP app! After doing at home workouts from Jan to April, I joined a gym at the start of April & got the app at the same time. Completed my 1st meso & am starting my second. It's like have a personal trainer with me at all times, because the instructional vids remind me what good technique looks like. My schedule is erratic, so I like that I can use Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 instead of weekdays, and I am actually growing muscle. 💪 I love the meso overview too, to see my progress. Would love to see my total volume tracked by exercise too, if you're taking suggestions.
same here!
A GIRL???
@@kainicknameGuys aren't the only ones who can't resist Dr. Mike's bro science and throbbing temple vein.
@@Peacefulpaige22 ANOTHER GIRL??
TWO GIRLS?!?!
I just love that You are giving all of this for free 🔥
PLEASE do more of these!!! I would love to hear more about what changes the algorithm makes as you go along.
Ex: If you auto populate exercises, does the algorithm save preferences / provide personalized recommendations?
Always incredibly quality content !
Can't commit to 5* a week, but woud love the same content on a full body
This is probably the best ad for your app I have ever seen
This is an amazing video...
I'm not the target (I focus on another sport and do supplementary strength training), but it is still an incredible amount of knowledge and tips in an incredible format
It's an amazing tutorial, and an extremely strong advertisement for your app
Legit this is sick ! Thank you
Thanks for doing this Dr. Mike. Please do keep doing this series.
Love this video and l
I'm looking forward to more!
This is great, would love videos covering 4 day split variations
Your talk about the length of the cycle starting at 21:00 is super on point. I am 43, lifetime natural and ran a 5 week up 1 week down meso that ended two weeks ago. Week 4 and 5 were absolutely brutal, I had lots of joint pain, and long story short, my new meso I just started this week is going to be 4 weeks up and 1 week down. Hopefully that's the right balance. It's nice to know that I can still drop it by one week if I really need to as well for the next one.
This is exactly what I wanted to see. I’m interested in using your app but not sure how it works. Seeing this has made me take the jump and try the app
Would love to see a beginner female-optimized program! Because there’s different training implications for women as small and fast-recovering people. Maybe with an ab/glute emphasis. Thanks Dr. Mike!
This was incredible. Would love to see a 4x push emphasis since I work in healthcare and can only commit to four days of training.
Loved this!
Been following your tips for 2 months now. Gains bro.. gains. 😊
Love your vids Dr-Mike you saved me from the Black Hole of RUclips BS. I started lifting a few months back and im getting stronger fast.
Im pushing close to failure almost every workout, or what I think is.
Unfortunately I'm having trouble getting my muscles sore after a workout. I know that sounds like bs. bro you're not going to failure if you're not sore after workout.
I started leg pressing with strict technique and a full range of motion around 400 lbs three sets of 10 to 15.
The first month that really exhausted me and I got sore.
I'm now up to 700 lbs 10 to 15 reps three different sets and I'm not getting sore anymore after my workout.
I tried to drop set going from 700 lb 10 to 15 reps three different sets. Then 500 lbs 10-15 three sets then to 300 lbs 10-15 sets and that worked. I was fried for a week. I just did the same thing and im not sore even a day later. Tired just not sore.
Long comment, hope you see it. Thanks for the help.
Love this video! Can you make a video on building a calisthenics/bodyweight plan in the app?
Floating Split! Love it!
I train a 4 day Push-Pull floating split normally 6 days a week... This should be interesting..
YOU CAN RECOVER FROM MORE. You can also train and improve recovery. Your body makes more of the needed enzymes when it figures out you are lifting everyday and recovery accelerates. Ever see a guy that can out drink you and still walk because he drinks a ton all the time? His liver learned to produce and keep more of the enzyme around that breaks down booze. He trained to drink more and drink more often. Same works with muscle growth and recovery. Same works on endurance training. Same works on strength and size. Adapt folks, your body is an adaptive machine when you apply stressors!
Perfect timing!
6 days push pull legs is my routine these days. I’d like to see your idea on that 💪🏻
In my heaviest load week in my first meso in the app/website. I'm a newbie so a lot of my progress is probably just learning technique and mussel/mind connection but I've seen progress that is amazing and encouraging me to keep it up. I love being able to look back at where I was and seeing my progress week to week over a particular exercise.
I will definitely make my own workout later but right now I'm happy just using the templates that are already programmed in.
I’ve been waiting for a day like this! I have always been curious about the RP Hypertrophy app but never sold on it because it’s hard for me to justify spending money on things unless I see exactly how it’s used. Curious to see how the video goes!
Dr. Mike can you please make a video about how to build a 6 day Legs-Push-Pull program? Thank you for your time and consideration! 🙏
Awesome… super interesting. Would love to see a video about designing a strength program
love to see this ty
oh yeah, 6 days push-pull-leg sounds great, ive been doing that for a few months now and its pretty nice that all of the muscles in some form or another "train each other" but this workout split will be pretty good for summer bulk, for a bit of variety
Looking forward to the whole body routines!!
I love the app and use all your training tips from watching what seems like 100s of videos now and it's completely changed how I train. In the past I've always used a ton of variations with supersets, drop sets, rest pause, and then your myo rep match sets. I'd like to hear your tips on how to utilize these the best way for each through the RP App now. My first Meso Cycle I've kept it simple and selected all as straight sets. So what I mean is how would you personally like to see the weight drop etc by maybe percentage or whatever you suggest so that we're setting up our down sets properly? Maybe some coaching on that next? Thanks Dr Mike!
Hell yes Mike lets see some more videos like this please!
exactly what i needed
Good little tip regarding pining the notes.
this video was just what i needed
A budget garage gym program for intermediates would be nice.
