Samples used on Hajnal:
Bela Bartok - String Quartet no1, 3rd Movement (5:18 - 5:55) ruclips.net/video/vpo26DnKaFs/видео.html (1909) Orchestral sounds
Igor Stravinsky - Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet (2:02 -) ruclips.net/video/XYM_gstj6lI/видео.html (1918) Slow jazz solo
Niccolò Paganini - Caprice no7 (0:00 -) ruclips.net/video/8OE6CKu5TGY/видео.html (1820) Main violin hook and violin solos
The Winstons - Amen Brother (the Amen Break) Drums
I think the reason it sometimes sounds fake is because the parts have been cut, stretched and pitch shifted. Idk tho im not a producer/sampler.
I love Venetian Snares, he's been a gateway for me to listen to more electronic music.
I hope Venetian Snares becomes more popular, he's genius and underrated
Yo, I like that weird shit that mixes genres. I totally wasn't expecting that drum & bass breakdown. Orchestral mixed with electronica? Good job Venetian Snares 👍🏽
Have you heard of Igorrr?
Venetian Snares is pretty bad ass. He and John Frusciante have a side project together called Speed Dealer Moms.
The song's title is Hungarian (and all the other tracks and the album title too) though the artist is Canadian
Pronounced kind of like Hay-Nal, but the "a" as in the word "Dark", and it means Dawn
Thank you!!!
Venetian Snares is an unusual artist to see on this channel 👍🏻
This song is pretty sick. Thanks for featuring it. Looking forward to more 👍
Some of my all time favorite songs that I believe every human needs to listen to at least once:
-Master of Puppets by Metallica (S&M version)
-25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago
-Freewill by Rush
-Eruption by Eddie Van Halen
-Scenes From an Italian Restaurant by Billy Joel
-Pretty much anything by the Beatles
-Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash
-Lose Yourself by Eminem
For me the beginning sounds like somekind of spy movie soundtrack, like it's hiding something and it is haha
Purify by Metallica is a beautiful song you should listen to
Yesterday was the 21st anniversary of the release of St. Anger. One of the best metal albums of all time and that's not even debatable. 🙃
Great idea for series, anyone who is generous about songs and music should listen a lot of different things and try find as much as possible!
liked your suggestion song funny one tbh.
mine suggestion would be for anyone Smak-Maht tema
Hajnal means dawn in hungarian language. Pronounce it with google
You should cover banana seat girl by him
This whole album is amazing.
Killer tune! Hope you stick with this series, man
Vsnares is awesome!
One of my favorite electronic artists (alot of people hate electronic music and don't realize good shit betond the sea of pop music).
Wasn't notified about this video and very surprised to see breakcore here. I really recommend you dive into his discography. My favorite stuff of his are the two EPs Winnipeg is a frozen shithole pt 1 and 2. And yes it's all programmed but it takes very much time and effort
Don't Hassle the Hoff by Aiming for Enrike should definitely make it on to this series (certainly no bias here)
I still listen to that regularly lmao
Can't believe you covered a Venetian Snares track he's my favorite musician!! His compositions are so interesting and he uses such a wide variety of different styles and different timbres on the drum programming and the music is so complex you find interesting bells and whistles every time you hear it. Venetian Snares and DT were my first exposure to "unconventional" music so thrilled you enjoyed this one
Wait, that's only one guy? 😮
@MrDman21 Yep he's a producer from Canada been making music for over 30 years, absolutely the most insane music you're likely to hear in your lifetime. Insane time signatures fire beats that will melt your brain and assault your senses
@@lozsmb18 nice 😁
Check out shpongle! There psytrance but there really incredibly musicaly smart. Simon posford is an incredible musician
I know this show gonna be interesting
This song is in Heberw, and in my opinion it's the most beautiful Israeli song.
the name of the song is Hi'ne Hi'ne (here, here), (yeah it translate badly)) and the atrtist is Mati Casspi.

More Breakcore than Breakbeat
Appreciate you pointing out the difference, though I don't know that I understand the distinction lol. Hopefully I'll learn!
@@BecomeTheKnight Breakbeat is a lot more straightforward,4/4 beats around 125 BPM. Breakcore is the spastic, bonkers, distorted 200 BPM chaos exemplifed by VS or Aphex Twin for example 👍🏻
That opening reminds me of Janacek's string quartets, which are definitely worth checking out
I'm sure it's nothing compared how your feeling, but it really ticks me off how your last 2 videos have immedielty gotten age restricted less then 10 minutes after being released
Agre restricted? If they are it isn't showing on my side.
@@BecomeTheKnight when your video on the new Leprous song came out, not 10 minutes after it was released, I went to watch it with my district locked laptop that doesn't allow age restricted content, a prompt came up that said the video was age restricted and that I was not suitable to watch it. The same thing happened with this video.
Hajnal = Dawn. Rossz csillag alatt született = Born under a bad (or wrong) star.
I dindn't hear about this musician in a decade. Thanks for reminding me.
Waiting for All Ashore by Punch Brothers makes it to one of these videos.
Oooohhhh it definitely will
I absolutely LOVE this song. I heard it the DaY it was released in 2005. Absolutely gorgeous tune!
Stoked on this series!
Xiu Xiu - Apistat Commander
never thought id see Venetian Snares mentioned in this channel, awesome
The hungarian word "Hajnal" means Dawn, I believe his trip to Hungary inspired him. If you take recommendations I would suggest the hungarian metal band Leander Kills, they have some pretty fun stuff :)
I have a song you should listen to for your new series it's called Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft by a Canadian band called Klatuu. Because of their music, they were mistaken for the Beatles.
You might like "Will You Follow Me" and "Speed Me Towards Death" by Rob Dougan.
Kinda the same style as the first half of this song.
In a way this reminds me of World's End Girlfriend, sorta like their song The Octuple Personality and Eleven Crows. Not 1 to 1 but enough similarities
Have you ever listened to Susumu Hirasawa? If you like weird but fantastic electronic music.
How about the song Choices by Bernhoft? I suggested it awhile back on SSF and you gave it a + sign
You should definitely listen to Mesopelagic: Into the Uncanny by the ocean, such a great listen, such a great band!
This song really reminds me of "Lost in Moments" by Ulver. I'm pretty sure you'd love that song.
check out of some of starkey music and a good song to check out by him would be the song called "prism"
I love breakcore
This song is sick!
Ok this series got me resubscribed. Looking forward to future videos
You should listen to "Beyond the sunrays" by Apifera
Surprised to see you dealing with some EDM
Sounds very much like a film score indeed.
Awesome series. My playlist is definitely in need of some new music.
Looking forward to more of this series!
(Even though I have all notifications turned on for this channel, most of your videos don't get recommended to me or pop up in my feed, this video did however, so I guess the algorithm is algorithming??)
Yeah idk wtf is going on. Even other RUclipsrs can't figure out why this is happening to me (I've asked them and they have no clue).
This should be a fun series
Wow! Stoked to see you talking about one of my favorite artists from highschool! Dude made some mind bending records back in the day and continues to!
Also, this song samples the following
String Quartet No. 1 Third Movement by Bela Bartok
Three Pieces For Solo Clarinet by Igor Stravinsky
Caprice no. 7 by Niccolò Paganini
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS BARTOK
keep up the good work Mike!
Amen!
Amen Andrews!
