    Very nice and very unlike the norm you’ll find here in the states. Thanks as always Davey. Seems you’ve now become part of my morning routine.

    First time I've seen a teal being wound as a hackle - really a lovely fly Davie!

    It would be hard for me to fish on of your flies, I think I would have to frame it and put in in my tying room. Thanks for sharing. Great pattern.

    Personally I find the blue and silver combination works best very early morning, or late evening. Or when fish are targeting pin fry. It has taken some rainbows. Mainly brownies with a five to one ratio. This bumble is a great twist on the classic teal blue and silver. I will add some to my loch style boxes

    Beautiful. Makes me want to fish a Loch. I could be this working as a minnow imitation though swinging it on a river.

    Reminded me of a fly, as a kid, in maybe 2000(10yo). I lost a pretty big salmon (it basically reeled me in), the fly had blue tail, silver body, grizzly body hackle, blue and white wing, i remember the white wing was on top and flared outwards.

    Great Fly! Request For You. If you had some size 10 and size 12 nymph hooks that are 2x long, what would you recommend as your best trout patterns to tie with these?

    Small Question , It's work for brown trout in size 12/14 ??
    Fred

    • @DavieMcPhail
      @DavieMcPhail  Год назад +1

      Hi Fred,
      Yes it does fish well in these 12s and 14s for brown trout though in a good wave the size 10 will also be worth having on the cast..
      All the very best Davie
