This is kacee's first time watching reaction to the movie "Role Models" (2008). After salesmen Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (Seann William Scott) trash a company truck, the court gives them a choice: jail time or community service in a mentoring program. Thinking to take the easy way out, the two overgrown adolescents find themselves paired with a teenager (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who is experiencing the pangs of first love, and a foul-mouthed fifth-grader (Bobb'e J. Thompson), who needs an attitude adjustment.

Will y’all do a reaction for the Deadpool 3 trailer when it comes out during the super bowl
If " Is that you reading your books?" doesn't become a running joke in your videos, I'm unsubscribing lmao Love both of your take and banters. 10/10
Hopefully, you watch the outtakes to this movie. They're freakin hilarious 😂
Yall should watch Grind
Feel like this one has been largely overlooked by reactors so far, glad to see it here because it's definitely one of the best comedies of the era.
For real, this is one of my all time favorites, next to Grandma’s Boy.
The worst part is that you're right. It really is the best there was at the time. An entire WORLD of erudition, poetry, beauty and love.... and the output is a poop joke and a giggle. I would be embarassed for yanks, but since they're proud of it... hey, let them. No harm, right?
@@InservioLetum well hey, just be careful you don't fall and hurt yourself... Looks dangerous, way up on that high horse
@@Dylan_Platt That's because it's a giraffe, dear. Everytime someone misidentifies an animal, a zookeeper drops a koala. I read it on the interwebz!
Come onnn, lighten up. Surely there's a point at which you think "was that really necessary?" The works of apatow for example, or napoleon dynamite, jackass, or freddy got fingered. Same level of humour. If a four year old says it, you grin politely to entertain the child, but if anyone over the age of ten acts like that, you start taking note of exits and whether or not the windowlicker has a minder that should be keeping said windowlicker, away from sharp objects like my personality.
@@InservioLetum well, you've certainly convinced me... that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Anybody who says that Freddy Got Fingered and Napoleon Dynamite (and this movie, for that matter) share ANYTHING other than the broad designation of "comedy" is either a dipshit or a liar.
I'm guessing by your derogatory use of "Yank" that you're British? Gosh, it's a good thing there aren't any examples of British comedy that are both scatological and immature in the way you're clumsily trying to gesture at, AND simultaneously held up as some of the greatest comedy of all time...
Oh wait, Monty Python.
Have a great day! By which i mean, take your sterling insight into comedic greatness back to whatever school gave you a degree in Pedantry and Pretention.
“I miss your whispering eye” is one of the low-key best lines in a comedy
This is one of those rare movies that nailed every casting choice. Everyone nailed their roles beautifully. On the DVD there’s an interview with the LARP consultant
Oh man I would watch that interview. Can't find it on RUclips unfortunately.
If you don't come out of this movie thinking about trying LARPing there's something wrong with you haha. (Not enough to ACTUALLY try it for everyone, of course :P)
@@jerodast truth. I only practiced
This is such an underrated comedy! I still quote this movie almost daily.
“My language is English! And this mothafucka tried to grab my hang down!”
hang dang
“Who wants to smell this bush ?”
@@charlesfitzgerald9631 ya but you gotta emphasize the "this"
1. There's an incredible gag that's easy to miss. The song Martin sings, "Love Take Me Down (to the Streets)", he claims is a Wings song. If you're unfamiliar, Wings was a group that Paul McCartney had for a time. Paul Rudd says it's not a real song. Later, at camp, another guy joins in on it, making it seem like a real song. During the credits, you hear the full studio version of the song. It sounds just like McCartney and just like other Wings songs. Like many at the time, I just assumed it was one of their lesser known songs.
They made it as part of the joke. It's a fully produced song, written by Martin's actor with music by the film's composer. The singer is from a long-running Beatles tribute band. All for an easy to miss gag.
2. I larped for several years in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was an utter blast. The one I played is no more, but I'm certain you could find one. A quick web search turned up a couple around Austin and a few more around DFW or Houston.
I have friends to this day from that time and some wonderful memories.
Bro shut tf up 😂 nobody’s reading all that bulkshit 😂 get a grip
David Wain, the director, has said the highest praise he gets for this movie is when people say, “It was better than I thought it would be.”
Fun fact my name is also David Wain lol.
It was better than I thought it would be.@@dcw3483
this is criminal. This movie is gold. At least as funny as The Hangover
It's one of the best "not trying to be that summer's big comedy hit" movies haha.
Except that’s not true and you’re a dunce.
Criminally underrated movie. Haven't watched this movie in a while.
I have not seen anyone else do a reaction to this movie.
Paul Rudd's diatribe about the coffee sizes, is my favorite part😅
I don't care if it's 20 ounces, it's still stupid, and I'm going to call it small, medium, and large to the end of my days :P
One thing I realized recently about this one is this is one of Rudd's few roles where for a good chunk of the movie he's a really cranky annoyed guy. Obviously his go-to is more casual goofball, and sometimes he does melancholy, but I don't know a lot where he's actively unpleasant to be around.
No lie, I don’t even watch your reactions… I put them on in the background because dudes laugh makes me crack the fuck up. Bros laugh is some second level shit when I smoke one and listen to you two get engaged into a cinematic adventure that I favor. Cant tell you how many times I’ve put you two into the background while I was busy and I know a funny part is coming up… I’m like… “pause and pay attention”; which is followed by an immediate chuckle on my end… I’m other words… this shit is fun to participate in
I can't hear the song Love Gun without thinking about Seann describing it now.
Hahaha I scream it’s his dick every time
"Honky? That's racist." 😂😂😂
The most under appreciated comedy of the decade - can’t believe how little love this movie gets
*Evolution* is a hilarious and underrated comedy also featuring Stiffler. Highly recommend it.
Great underrated movie for sure.
Cuckaww cuckaww and tookie tookie don’t work! 😂😂😂
Now THAT movie is actually clever and funny! The abrupt selenium gag was absolutely priceless! It does rather aim at the same demographic, but it's clear they're trying to elevate not deprecate.
I still love how nobody call that man by his real name and everyone just says stiffler lol
"Is that you reading your books?"😂 love you two❤
Very underrated comedy. Absolutely love it.
Whats it rated?
Suuuuuuuuuuch an underrated movie. You're right, always felt like this kinda got lost among the many other mid 2000s comedies, and it's probably because, as much as I love it, it IS a weird mix of raunchy and wholesome, of adult rated R content and kid-focused plots.
Would everyone please shut up with calling everything underrated?! It’s annoying as hell 😣😣
But it does both so well. I actually think American Pie 2 hits a similar stride of raunchy and wholesome. The original is a lot funnier, but the sequel has so much heart I kind of love it.
This is the perfect opportunity to HIGHLY recommend Wet Hot American Summer. Same director, lot of the same cast. Elizabeth, Paul, the stepdad, the Wings guy, the traitor larp guy, plus Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Molly Shannon, Janeane Garofalo and more. A summer camp movie where they actually spent the whole filming at a camp and has a great making of documentary.
One of my fav offbeat comedies great recommendation
It's fucking insane how star studded the cast is for that wacky little low budget comedy.
yessss yall always watch the best movies that nobody else reacts to!
"Oh, bid him good-morrow" haha, I love that line.
Super underrated movie. Hilarious and not many people know this movie.
Guys I got to say. I forgot how funny this movie is..been so many years. Thanks for reacting to it ..enjoyed ur reaction .. had me crying ..so hard I was laughfing with u guys
Btw in the jeep, Ronnie wasn't supposed to actually jump and the car was really moving. So the other 3 all worried that this kid was gonna go flying out the back. Pretty good jump scare for them haha
I bought this on DVD as soon as it came out. I've seen it a hundred times but I've never enjoyed it as much as watching you two react to it. Thanks for the laughs!
This quite honestly a super underrated comedy movie that just seemed to get lost. It is absolutely filled with quotable lines and bust out laughing moments.
One of my favorite movies. An allstar cast, a great story, and the lesson learned is fantastic.
The coffee ordering scene is MAGIC.
This is one of my all time favorite comfort movies. I quote it often.
Crazy Fact: The fight choreographer is Dan Inosanto who is the same man who did the choreography for the Jason Bourne movies. Look it up😂

As everyone noted, this was an underrated comedy classic. Has an extra special space for me because it was the last movie I watched and enjoyed with my best friend before we were estranged.
This movie has one of my favorite quintessential happy endings. Love when it all works out.
Not to mention the climax: dress up like Kiss and have a giant larp battle
This is one of those movies, like ‘I love you man’ that sailed past most people but has some really funny stuff in
I love you man is just the perfect amount of cringe. I love that movie.
Yeah, I Love You, Man is another fun movie from that era that I’d like to see more reactors get around to checking out.
I miss comedies like these
Your laugh bro....fuggin awesome
Yes!!! I’m glad y’all got around to this one. Sean William Scott is comedic gold. Goon is another wholesome-ish comedy with him.
Goon is definitely a fun movie.
Goon is great and another great hockey comedy from 70's is "Slap Shot" with Paul Newman.
Goon is surprisingly good. It didn't make me laugh much but I've seen it like three times. Just a fun movie about a wholesome guy in a world full of schemers
Great role models, taught Mclovin to stand up for himself, got him a fine albeit skinny woman, and showed him HOW TO ROCK....The perfect journey into mahhood LOVE GUNNNNNN LOVE GUNNN😂😂😂
LARPing is fun as hell. I've done two different medieval LARPs and a post-apocalyptic zombie LARP. The people in those groups are some of the best people around. They're like families. It's a cool scene.
Bro years ago at my Dojo we practiced Kenjistsu for months went to a Larp dominated and got some freaky nerdy chicks it was great. Real talk s*it was fire my name was Sir Michael the Tall😂😂
Seriously a damn good time though I started taking my boy starting last year. Im a died in the wool jock and was pleasantly surprised more people should do it. It really is so much fun folks are missing out...For KissMyanthia 😂😂
In another universe, Sean William Scott would've been Deadpool. Seeing him and Ant-Man together makes me hope that they'll team up in a movie again.
Role models is my #1 comedy of all time and it’s not even close. Top 2 or 3 overall behind like.. Tombstone. This movie is just so rewatchable and enjoyable in any mindset.
Is Tombstone a comedy?
I actually think Megamind and Tropic Thunder are about even with this as my favourite.
@@trequor Nah Tombstone isn't a comedy, I was just saying it's my all time fav and role models gets close for me.
Stumbled across this....
I gotta say..my guy's laugh is FUCKING OUTSTANDING!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So excited someone finally did this reaction! So good!
I absolutely adore this movie.
As a nerd who grew up living in the various videogames and fantasy novels that I was addicted to, I can relate to the LARP aspect.. yet as someone who had access to the ridiculously wild internet at a young age in the 90's and 2000's, I get the absurd and colorful language as well since I had very colorful language and a wild sense of humor.
This movie marries the two perfectly, and has a nice little love story in it, too.
I love this movie!
I always LOVED Sean William Scott, he is amazing. And this movie, such an underrated comedic gem.
Thank you for reacting, I missed watching this movie :D
Great movie, love that two traditional “sidekicks” shine as stars together.
This is one of my most loved "dumb dudebro comedy" flicks along with Dodgeball, Fired Up!, Waiting, and Employee of the Month. If they're on, I'll just sit and watch them.
First time in my 10+ years on RUclips that I subscribed based on what movies they enjoy. I think I made a good decision. :)
Like many others have said here, this is an underrated gem and one of my favorites from this era of comedies. Its endlessly quotable yet I dont think ive met a single person who knows what im referencing. And funny enough my Mom of all people loves it and chimes in and laughs when I do the "Whatd I have for breakfast? Cocaine" line. I think we went to see it together when my Dad was deployed to Iraq. Its not the greatest comedy by any stretch but it has a special place in my memories because of that.
"Isn't that what makes a good fantasy?"
"...Ohhh yeeaahhhhh" 😂
I am so glad you guys chose this movie! It is so much fun, and I love your reaction to it. Plus, we learned something about Kacee too. Maybe you will have to do a follow up video with you two L.A.R.P.ing, since you're into fantasy.
I've seen this movie so many times!!!! I laughed so hard to this movie. Great reaction, I wish more reactors would watch this movie.
24:23 The Get Out Of Jail Free Card is in fact based on a real thing. At least in the UK there was a lottery a very long time ago (probably 1800's?), and the prize was a real Get Out Of Jail Free Card. It didn't apply to the most serious crimes like schmurder, but all other crimes: you got off the hook!
I worked at the movie theater during this movie. All the staff would raise their brooms and the staff leader would say "let us gingerly touch tips" for like a year after that movie came out.
This and Hot Rod are so underrated! This was a great time for comedy.
Completely forgot about this movie. Its so good.
I have been telling other reactors to react to this for ages. Beyond excited when I saw you had reacted to it.

"You white? Then you Ben Affleck." One of my favorite lines, followed by, "Taste The Beast!" 😂

I always thought this movie was so funny. I’m not sure why it doesn’t get more attention. It has rewatchability, as well.
Loving the comedy reactions. Please keep them coming. Dude where’s my car? It’s ridiculous, but has some very quotable moments.
I dont know if this is choreographed or not. But the vibe and communication is on point.
years ago i got to use the "its not poison, its got juice in it." I was drinking one of those Mtn Dew energy drinks and someone called it poison. Well those things actually are 10% juice lol
I got into a hobby, again. Kind of. Use to tech deck all the time. Last year or two I started Fingerboarding and it's my favorite. Been making obstacles and other shit. It's so relaxing, just listen to music while doing it, escape the real world a minute. It's also extremely rewarding when you land something you've been practicing, just like in Skateboarding.
Kacee is one in a million, my boy Antony hit the loto fr ....
We get the best explanation of KISS ever! Thank you for doing this! Why nobody else has is beyond me
Kacee seems like such a fun person
Hahah that's awesome, if Casey hasn't she should definitely check out the Malazan series, good stuff :)
Speaking of lowkey forgotten raunchy adjacent stuff from the time, Grandma's Boy gets overlooked a lot, and I'd say its probably one of the first non-absurd (outside of y'know, specific people in the movie) depictions of a video game company
I remember going to a workplace BBQ that had a great amount of employees, one of those employees brought a bunch of foam weapons he made for larping, and a bunch of us semi-nerdy people all decided to try larping on our own with him and it was so freaking amazing. My favorite was being a two-handed swordsman fighting against my friend as a dual-wielding short sword fighter. He beat me of course as trying to swing that thing around against two swords was not as easy as I hoped it would be. It was still a really fun experience.
Good Morrow! This is a great movie! So quotable and fun.
Some films have dozens of reaction videos, but nearly no one cared for ROLE MODELS... except now... finally...
Bru augies parents are freaking HILARIOUS af I couldn’t keep it together in that scene eating dinner 😂
17:49 that kid who is explaining the rules to them is literally greg from everybody hates Chris and he's Phineas from phineas and ferb
OMG, I remember renting this from Redbox for the first time, such a great movie!!! RUB A DUB DUB!!
Loving your reactions like always. But we need more Ted! But still. Love you both! ❤❤❤
the bloopers in this film are f'ing hilarious
If you like this you should check out Knights of Badassdom. It’s an overlooked “nerd culture” movie that kind of shot itself in the foot with its release. It was filmed before A Game of Thrones started and had Peter Dinklage in it. When he became popular they cancelled its release date to do some re-editing to make his character more prominent and the delay kind of hurt it. Nonetheless it’s a fun movie about a group of larpers that accidentally summon a succubus.
One of my favorite movies
Love this movie. Has so many great quotes.
The most underrated joke in this. Is that this is the judge's favorite organization. Also, how many times I have quoted, "If you're white, then you're Ben Affleck." It's unhealthy lol
What exactly do you think the joke is? It's a fairly ordinary line of dialogue that indicates when the judge has to issue a sentence of community service this is the place they send people because they think it's worthwhile to help these kids.
@uosdwiSrdewoH it's that she used to do sexual favor for drugs to this particular judge.
Every Sean William Scott movie, except the Rundown, is an underrated classic
35:57 not in the Texas LARP scene... but one I do called Dystopia Rising is a LARP with communities all across the country. 99% sure there's one in Texas. The one I go to has an average of 200 people attending at a time and we spend three whole days in character the entire time it's supposed to apocalyptic based LARP. 11/10 would recommend. We get deep into character. If you thought these guys were intense, just wait till you go to your first DR game 😂

Role Models seems super underrated.
“Underrated” is overrated! Please stop saying it. Every 2 seconds somebody is calling someone or something “underrated” it’s annoying as hell
@@nsasupporter7557 Why do you care if people believe something is underrated? I've seen you say this on multiple comments, and you telling people to stop isn't going to accomplish anything. Seems like a strange issue to have
@@NickPotatoes let me ask you something… why are people so in infatuated with the word “underrated??” That’s what’s actually strange. People call the most popular things “underrated,” so they use it inaccurately. So can you explain why the word “underrated” is used every 2 seconds??
@@nsasupporter7557 idk man, I rarely use that word honestly. If I had to guess tho, they may not have seen a lot of people talk about something that they think is great, thus giving them the perception that it is "underrated". Beyond that tho, idk, people are strange lol
@@NickPotatoes you still haven’t answered my question, why are you so infatuated with the word “underrated” and using it inaccurately so much? You and so many other people on RUclips.
