Magnet Fishing On A Military Base - US Army Equipment Recovered (86 Rockets, Mortar and More)

- Опубликовано: 23 июн 2022
- Today we go magnet fishing on a military base and recover US Army equipment! We found over 86 rockets, a tank tracer round, ammo belts and more! This was definitely one of the most insane days of magnet fishing I’ve ever had! We had to call the bomb squad out to come confiscate the military equipment. One of the officers wrote us tickets and almost took us to jail!

That MP was an absolute LEGEND!!
I wonder if the mp trumps over the game warden since it's a military base
Ya kudos to the mp... and not to mention that most of the ordinance was practice round with the exception of the auto belts that they pulled up
Biggest loser for a game warden I have ever seen.
It's always that way. Any time you come through a base gate, if you have a soldier/sailor/marine/airman standing there they are going to be cool. It's the civilian base police that are dicks for no reason at all.
@@swschrader1981 yes they do only on there base itself however this is just outside the base so maybe its a 50-50 thing, if it was on the base itself though or in the woods were the army practice than yes the MP trumps the warden. (is my guess because thats the most logical thing)

In Europe WW2 shells are found all the time. Punishing those who report finding would just lead to people trying to dispose them themselves. crazy
Game wardens are like mall cops
@artolaganus yeah like here in belgium if we find a shell or something like that we put it in the holes in telephonepoles and the bomb disposal takes it with them when they pass by
The military cop was cool. He seemed like he thought the game warden was being a little harsh.
Not really sure why a game warden was there to begin with.
@@Rein54 He heard the word "fishing" from 2 miles away and came running because he wanted them to respect his authoritah!
@@warweasel2832 I almost spit my coffee out 😂😂
@Rein54 he has nothing better to do and saw a opportunity for him to get a raise by giving out tickets
The game warden had no authority to write those tickets, and would have had no authority to arrest them. Had he tried arresting them, it would have been deemed a false arrest, and could come with a kidnapping charge as, again, he had no jurisdiction to arrest them or ticket them. Game Wardens are State employees, and they have jurisdiction to go into military bases for reasons of fish and wildlife. This means fishing (actual fishing) or hunting. The moment it goes beyond that, they are out of their jurisdiction as it is Federal land, and subject to enforcement by its own police (hence the MP).
Accusing them of "acquiring government property" is like if someone finds a 10 dollar bill on the ground in a bank, tries to turn it in and they charge them with bank robbery. That grouchy, smug old man is really getting under my skin! 😡
nothing can't be made worse by calling the pigs
he likely has a ticket quota he has to meet, which is why he's pulling the mental gymnastics to justify writing the tickets.

Dang that’s totally bogus that you got tickets for cleaning up the river you handled that very well though!
I don’t really understand why they would get tickets I mean yes it’s close to a military base but the stuff they found is stuff that’s in the river that probably shouldn’t even be in there in the first place
They got tickets because the officer thought it was appropriate and since a ticket is not a sentence, that’s quite alright.
Also let‘s face it: while cleaning up rivers is a good thing, in this case, literally fishing so close to a location where soldiers use LIVE ammunition etc. and where the rain can consequently push all sorts of HIGHLY dangerous things into the water, it’s best if the public leaves the clean up to professionals who don’t TOSS practice rockets on public bridges.
I like these fellows & what they do but they shouldn’t be so careless.
Key takeaway: if you value your life, do not magnet fish on a military base or right next to one.
and they even called ahead to find out whether or not it was ok to do it, that's the worst part.
the way i see it, the violated federal property, they are in military base from what was explained.

You guys are so adorable when you guys find things .
I understand the officer's concern about people magnet fishing and pulling stuff like that from the river, but instead of just voicing his concern and appreciating you guys cleaning up the waterways, he wrote the ticket, which would make other people less likely to turn in the stuff they found, which is really important.
It also hints at the warden knowing stuff was being dumped in the waterway and that he does not want the public to know about the dumping.
That warden is hiding shiss and I feel like we should have to go to that bridge and Magnetfish
I mean imagine if couple kids found them.
You obviously don't understand the officer's concerns. Mr "Dude" and Mr "Bro" put themselves and public in harms way. There should never be any "Others" in this area. The info dude and bro received was wrong and the officer let them know. These boys were not happy but allowed the officer to correct and cite them and hopefully when going to court their fine can be reduced, however they released this video that subsequently has emboldened and encouraged others to magnet fish this dangerous area. Their previous videos of naive, dumb and dumber munitions handling speaks for itself. Even if the officer is technically wrong in any matter you should not put the public in harms way. Yes he knew better (hands shaking and trembling thinking it was a grenade) did he stop then? No. Making money on video was more important. It was a bad judgment call considering his sphere of influence.

What the officer did was illegal also. I hope they fought the case. He said magnet fishing is the same as fishing. Also they clearly stated they magnet fished public land. Magnet fishing is not the same as fishing just like water guns and real fire arms aren't the same. They should have fought this and pressed charges after being arrested.
A typical tyrant.
As a former Army MP, that Federal Game Warden was on a power trip as most of them are. I would fight that citation because its supposed to be marked. Every installation I ever patrolled had signs up for the perimeter to include the back 40 training areas that are technically open to the public. Unless yall drove past signs stating that you were entering a military base, or there were signs under or next to that bridge, I would fight it. From my experience at Ft. Campbell when dealing with the Federal fish and wildlife officers, most of them are assholes who are on a power trip and over reach on their authority.
They were in the the ft. Stewart property for a quite a few miles and that specific bridge did not have a sign at the time but all bridges on fort stewart have no fishing signs they passed by I believe 3 or 4 bridges before that one that were labeled.

It’s consumable with no turn in. The assumption is the that it got shot. Reality was that the unit didn’t use as much as they drew. Instead of the 3 shop doing the kind of pain the ass to turn it in, they drove it to the river and chucked it. Same reason the .50 is there.

They dont leave crashed aircraft in easy access waterways.

That game warden is pressing his jurisdiction big time
He just encouraged me not to call anyone if I find something .imma just keep it
bad idea. you get caught with some of that stuff you go to jail
cuz cops are Criminals/Gansters with License.
@@thekillercat3383Call the police: Charged

Exactly, lose lose situation. Best advice I can give is mark it and stay away.
Keeping any of those without the appropriate permits can net you some serious fines and prison time, if they don't decide to throw the "conspiracy to commit high crimes against the United States" book at you and lock you up for life
This has so solid boys being boys energy, I could only cut it with a saw.
I love how they act like absolute children whenever they see something new 😂❤
😂😂
Ya know how they act almost makes it look staged but no way in hell you can make this shit up
*plays with unexploded rockets*

When they found the bullet fest they were like kids when they get nerf guns
The excitement and giddy noises of grown men fishing with magnets is the most pure thing in the universe
He is grossly overacting his excitement for more views.. lol

This the most action Game Warden seen in his 30 year career. He'll be telling this story for years about how he saved the water's property of it's rockets.
Tellin it to the grandkids 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's mad because he had to do something that day. Usually he'd be sitting down at the McDonald's having coffee with his buddies.
💯percent truth
I think he got upset cuz he had to do the paperwork and write the tickets
@@edwardrodriguez5493 no. He could have just given them a verbal warning and gone back to doing nothing.
Its quite scary to think of all that stuff just rotting away in our streams and rivers! Good work guys !
Noticed the blue warhead knew it was a dummy round brown and yellow are live munitions AND skullduggery afoot to find even dummy weapons in a river outside of an Army ya think AND sometimes the dummy rounds have small "marking" charges to show where rounds hit, still dangerous. Should be a massive home security issue, yeah???!!!🤔. Some kinda deal gone bad no doubt
@@kennethhamilton5633 it is very suspicious as to why all of this is in the river and they do nothing about it.
There is stuff like that around and on every military installation and in cities around the world.
I really wish it was legal for them to stay around and collect the rest of it. But, now they did bring attention to it. which can potentially open a case to have that stream cleaned by bomb disposal. also, an investigation done on the batch of training rockets that those came from and the group that owned them. They can look back in the logs of who they were issued to and potentially punish them for letting those pieces of military equipment fall into civilian hands. Which can by consideration for a court-martial depending on the situation.
@Rasheed Cumba EOD can't do anything about stuff they don't know about. Those should have never been dumped in the river in the first place. But now that attention has been brought to them, they can be effectively clean and potentially the people who dumprd them punished.
Letter of the law versus Spirit of the law and obviously he was picked on in high school always goes by the letter of the law😂😂😂
Call the cops, good idea 😂😂😂
The first military police officer that pulled up was cool af
Just wanna let y’all know, those flares will explode but make a small explosion about 10-20 feet wide and will cause injuries but not death. They are loud as heck also. :) nice finds y’all! :)
My late grandpa came back from Vietnam with some of those according to my father, he called them mini foxhole makers
Someone must have used those as fireworks 😂
They have blue tips, which mean they are for training. Any ordinance, from bullets, mortars, rockets, or grenades that are used for training are all marked blue.
And actually, upon further research, they are non-explosive training rounds, used to train soldiers on the M72LAW 66mm rocket launcher, which is the typical 1980's movie "bazooka". It was the same one used in the film "Falling Down". They convert M72Law rockets to fire these 35mm rounds, and call it the M190 launcher after converted. It remains identical in appearance and operation as the M72LAW, just fires smaller 35mm training rounds. You can actually legally own an M190 launcher, and 35mm rounds, without a special ATF permit. You can legally own the M72LAW as well, but cannot legally own live 66mm rounds.
@@davealmighty9638 maybe I am misreading y’all’s comments, but I’m fairly certain he is referring to the flare they thought was the grenade, and I’m fault certain you are talking about the training rockets
Court in the boro is crazy
Magnet fishing colloquially might have the word fishing in it. However, I am fairly certain it is not the same as fishing and does not fall into Game Warden jurisdiction! 😂
Was born and raised in Hinesville, GA and I have to say that all law enforcement in the area is just like this guy - they just love having power trips and will run down to ticket you for anything and everything but if you need help they drag their butts. I would be amazed if you had to pay those tickets.
I'm currently here too and I met some military police that work on base with me and most of them are great guys that just doesn't want anything to happen so it doesn't go to far
You wonder why look at the crime rate it don’t stop…
It’s been like this since back in the early days before Ga Was even a state
I'd fight it.
The rockets were training rounds for the old M72 LAW, I don't believe the spotting 'warhead' on them contains enough explosive to actually be considered illegal to possess. You can buy inert or used ones if you collect inert ordnance. The flare wouldn't be an explosive either, and you can actually own stuff like that and MK-18 smoke grenades.
I'd bet money that those rockets weren't stolen, but somebody was told to dispose of them years ago and they just tossed them in the river.
That game warden is a giant douche.
Most likely what happened with the rockets is a unit went to the range, fired some and didn't want to turn in the rest because turning in live ammo that's not in the original packaging is a huge pain in the rear. So, it got "expended".....
For the Fishing part the game warden probably just went on the safe side for following the law and wrote tickets for that. (since they did say it was on a line between red and green zones on the highway)
The Military aspect was more or less he probably dealt with something like this before and it was illegal possession of it or whatever blah blah blah.
but he was just to strict and wouldnt budge on writing in a report
Good ole SGM Chuck n LT COL Toss
Yes. I haven't seen them since 1983, but recognized them right away. Those are training rounds for the law rocket and if they haven't been fired they would have propellant still in them, but the blue tip is inert and doesn't do anything. It's the other end that can hurt you.
Yep! Those are the 30mm training round for the LAW 's rockets!!
The guy who gave them the ticket is a total astronaut hole.
that game warden warden was absolutely power tripping
Learn from my mistakes y’all and please don’t go back to this spot. You will get charged also!
Thanks for stopping by and showing love!

This is very crazy

everytime i think , i hope so nothing happend with you , with that dangerous stuff , 😅 now you think you do good , you phoned and you get a ticket , now you think why did i called them , are you kidding me , this world is weird , you are the victim not the hero who find stolen stuff
Oh-
If you go to court and talk to the judge, you will probably get out of paying for the tickets. I mean the soldier wasn't even worried about it. He would have just left you go! Cops, can't trust them.
22:59 "Gotta have a permit to be doing... anything"
Man I love freedom in America...
Kinda crazy how you think of how free you think you are 😂
It didn't used to be this way in America. You can thank "bigger government" and a lot of socialist mentalities that essentially created the federal system we have today that is chock fill of red tape and bureaucracy.
There are definitely less freedoms in America today than she used to have.
Heh, you ever tried to go magnet fishing in germany? There you not only need ONE permit, you need about 7 permits because you have to ask almost EVERYONE and EVERY local authority in a radius of roughly guessed 50 kilometers if its okay to clean the waters of scrap and similar stuff.
Classic german bureaucracy at ist finest.
It is a military base. Buy some land and magnet fish on your own property or submit to the will of the owners and state laws. Not a total "finders keepers" world. It's just not. Seems like a disgust way to make a few dollars. Tres desperate for cash. What's next? Storage units?
Those blue tipped pieces are blue anti-armor rockets you fire for me handheld launcher.
