  • Today we go magnet fishing on a military base and recover US Army equipment! We found over 86 rockets, a tank tracer round, ammo belts and more! This was definitely one of the most insane days of magnet fishing I’ve ever had! We had to call the bomb squad out to come confiscate the military equipment. One of the officers wrote us tickets and almost took us to jail!

    • @Jeremiah90526
      @Jeremiah90526 Год назад +63

      The game warden had no authority to write those tickets, and would have had no authority to arrest them. Had he tried arresting them, it would have been deemed a false arrest, and could come with a kidnapping charge as, again, he had no jurisdiction to arrest them or ticket them. Game Wardens are State employees, and they have jurisdiction to go into military bases for reasons of fish and wildlife. This means fishing (actual fishing) or hunting. The moment it goes beyond that, they are out of their jurisdiction as it is Federal land, and subject to enforcement by its own police (hence the MP).

    • @Arcaryon
      @Arcaryon Год назад +122

      They got tickets because the officer thought it was appropriate and since a ticket is not a sentence, that’s quite alright.
      Also let‘s face it: while cleaning up rivers is a good thing, in this case, literally fishing so close to a location where soldiers use LIVE ammunition etc. and where the rain can consequently push all sorts of HIGHLY dangerous things into the water, it’s best if the public leaves the clean up to professionals who don’t TOSS practice rockets on public bridges.
      I like these fellows & what they do but they shouldn’t be so careless.

The info dude and bro received was wrong and the officer let them know. These boys were not happy but allowed the officer to correct and cite them and hopefully when going to court their fine can be reduced, however they released this video that subsequently has emboldened and encouraged others to magnet fish this dangerous area. Their previous videos of naive, dumb and dumber munitions handling speaks for itself. Even if the officer is technically wrong in any matter you should not put the public in harms way. Yes he knew better (hands shaking and trembling thinking it was a grenade) did he stop then? No. Making money on video was more important. But, now they did bring attention to it. which can potentially open a case to have that stream cleaned by bomb disposal. also, an investigation done on the batch of training rockets that those came from and the group that owned them. They can look back in the logs of who they were issued to and potentially punish them for letting those pieces of military equipment fall into civilian hands. Which can by consideration for a court-martial depending on the situation.

    • @davealmighty9638
      @davealmighty9638 2 года назад +1

      And actually, upon further research, they are non-explosive training rounds, used to train soldiers on the M72LAW 66mm rocket launcher, which is the typical 1980's movie "bazooka". It was the same one used in the film "Falling Down". They convert M72Law rockets to fire these 35mm rounds, and call it the M190 launcher after converted. It remains identical in appearance and operation as the M72LAW, just fires smaller 35mm training rounds. You can actually legally own an M190 launcher, and 35mm rounds, without a special ATF permit. You can legally own the M72LAW as well, but cannot legally own live 66mm rounds.

    The rockets were training rounds for the old M72 LAW, I don't believe the spotting 'warhead' on them contains enough explosive to actually be considered illegal to possess. You can buy inert or used ones if you collect inert ordnance. The flare wouldn't be an explosive either, and you can actually own stuff like that and MK-18 smoke grenades.
    I'd bet money that those rockets weren't stolen, but somebody was told to dispose of them years ago and they just tossed them in the river.
