I am glad that this video is back! I love California, including the mountains and trees, They are beautiful. I love when you went through Carpinteria at 30:01, which is where my grandma lives. Most of Santa Barbara county is my favorite part of this drive.
The entire ride seems fun, US-101 is my absolute favorite freeway in California because of the awesome and splendid scenery between San Francisco and Los Angeles

It's also worth noting that from woodland hills onward you're actually in los angeles. Woodland hills, hollywood and all those places aren't actual cities. They're all a part of Los Angeles.
Calikid331 Depends on your definition of boring. Wyoming is high plains in much of the eastern part, with a number of beautiful mountains ranges running through the western edge. Yellowstone National Park, which has exquisite scenery, is the whole northwestern corner of Wyoming. Not boring at all. I drove across Iowa and was surprised by it--a beautiful, green landscape of rolling hills along my route, lots of farms. Not what I'm used to where I'm from,, so I found it very interesting. I can't speak for Kansas, because I really haven't seen much of it in the daytime. Rolled across it on Amtrak at night. But I'm sure I'd find something interesting about it, and I'd find some beauty in the landscape of the Kansas Great Plains.
Beautiful landscapes. There is something about driving in a Mediterranean climate that is simply awesome, not to mention the gorgeous view of the Pacific ocean.

You should have put the label for calabassas at the 35:40 mark and you actually were IN the city of los angeles at the 36:10 mark. Woodland hills isn't a real city, you should really correct that....
Holy shit, I'm amazed at how quickly santa barbara county suddenly came up. I've always thought of san fransisco as being a world away, and I was expecting way longer of a drive. i thought it was going to look like a bazillion miles but it feels like you're arriving in southern cali almost too quickly. When I was younger and went to san fransisco the drive felt as long as an airplane flight...but jesus....if I did it now I have a feeling the car ride would be almost too short....
looking forward to seeing the hills nice and green again ... finally a good amount of rain has fallen. will be on this same route (but only to SLO) in two weeks... from SF.
Two questions how did you do that drive without having to go to the bathroom because it never shows you stopped… And can you see the ocean the entire time from California 1/California 101?
As it is los angeles to santa barbara is more than manageable for me. My commute to school in my senior year of high school was from santa barbara to westlake village (which is right next to agoura hills) and from los angeles to westlake village (divorced parents) By the way, you passed my house where I was probably napping at the 40:17 mark :P
I just traveled to June lake on highway 395 and this road is dangerous since there are multiple cross traffic intersections where you have to make a left turn to cross over highway 395 to access certain streets. why is the 395 still a US highway and not an interstate.
Did both ways trip back in 1993.Needed to keep a check on the fuel gage.Back then Gas Stations werent as frequent .A beautiful trip.Rog.Pacific Sunset( LA).
Yes. Go to San Francisco you will see people hungry, bad neighborhoods and without a home sleeping on rock hard concrete. Go to Los Angeles you will see the same thing. The West is more common with Homelessness, but the east offers a little more.
No, it is on Highway 1. You can get to Hwy. 1 to Big Sur from U.S. 101 if you're driving Northbound from Southern California in the city of San Luis Obispo where U.S. 101 and California Hwy. 1 intersect. If you're driving from San Francisco on U.S. 101, you can take it Southbound to either Prunedale where you then take Hwy. 156 which joins Hwy. 1 just past Castroville OR you can continue on U.S. 101 south past Prunedale and go into Salinas where you would take Hwy. 68 which will take you to Hwy. 1 and you would go South to get to Big Sur. A third way to get there from San Francisco, is to take Hwy. 280 south to Cupertino and then take Hwy. 85 to Los Gatos and then take Hwy. 17 south to Santa Cruz where you would then take Hwy. 1 south to Big Sur. A fourth way if you're driving from San Francisco, is to take Hwy. 1 south from San Francisco which will take you directly there along the coast without needing to change highways.

California is such a beautiful state.
Yes, but every state has its own beauty. I can't think of any state that doesn't, if you take the time to explore it.
+PerthTowne I can think of one or two...
SubversiveConcept Ok, name 'em.
PerthTowne kansas, wyoming, iowa, pretty boring states, geographically, scratch that, boring as a whole

California is easily the most beautiful state

Cody Elliott Nothing against, I respect your opinion Phillips..
I Choose San Fran
Francisco *
love los angeles
Barbiepoledancer please do San Diego CA to Portland OR
Stop annoying her with that, your constant begging isn't going to get you anywhere 😡
Nice Sunday drive thank you
Aaaah I love the 101
Why would you take the US 101 instead of I 5? makes no sense except to waste fuel. Whatever
+cattleman36 I have the I-5 route between Los Angeles CA and Sacramento CA.
+Barbiepoledancer The 101 is more scenic. I long to drive that route to LA someday. I-5 is boring until you get to the Grapevine.

There should be a video like this shot at night
In USA everyone is rich? Look these cars, OMG, pure luxury
AntdezTV Why? Here in Brazil almost every cars in the video are considered luxury here.
AntdezTV But exist the extreme poverty there? And the infrastructure in United States is amazing.
But there is alot of poverty in alot of states. California is known to have ALOT of it.
Josh morales The level of poverty is different of others countries, yeah? Or the americans go hungry?
Yes. Go to San Francisco you will see people hungry, bad neighborhoods and without a home sleeping on rock hard concrete. Go to Los Angeles you will see the same thing. The West is more common with Homelessness, but the east offers a little more.
