In high summer I walk my dogs at 1st light. The moment the I see the sun rise always chokes me. I dont need stones. But I would love to watch the winter solstice sun rise behind the trilithons. I am one of those who believe this to be the main event. The whole structure is designed for it.
I wonder what the builders of Stonehenge would think if they were told about the interest of people thousands of years in the future, and if they got to hear the music you used for the video.
It would be glorious to see it in the latter stages, shining white and complete - you can just imagine the effect it would have had approaching it before a Solstice sunrise…
Please credit Antônio Zamora for his work on the 100,000+ craters he has studied and brought to RUclips. You can use the same tech he used to find your missing craters.
I was there only two weeks ago for this first time in 30 odd years. After visiting wayland smithy and Avebury circle earlier in the day, Stonehenge is absolutely breathtaking and makes you feel so small. Beautiful videos guys!
Thank you very much. I have had the privilege of touching these stones. Do either of you remember access was threw from the ticket office on the other side of the Highway a tunnel. On the stones side open and free to explore. Thanks again. Just saying.
Standing as a silent witness to over 1.8 million sunrises in its near 5000 year history.
Love this ❤
Gorgeous
alright, I can't be the only one who cried watching this LOL

Nothing has given me the feeling of awe that the builders must have felt

Strong Minecraft vibes from this. Very nice!
@Michael Bott, sir, you are a genius! Thank you
Stonehenge gives me a severe case of Pareidolia. Must be my imagination.
The heart, the mind, the soul, and the spirit of one is both stilled and magnified. What a gorgeous time to be alive.
Quite brilliant...Wonderful indeed
I will be there for sunrise tomorrow morning. Its so eerily beautiful without any people there.
Stunning work Mr. Bot, thanks for sharing ahead of the project.
Fantastic, thank you, Martin.
Now THAT'S what I call some B roll!
All that lichen, along with the win and rain, are taking their toll on those stones. Soon the stones will be gone.
Lovely and inspiring
Thank you for that! I will never get to see it with my own eyes.
Spectacular footage!
Stunning. Just. Stunning.
Glorious!

Some middle class midwits decided orange paint would help…
🤦🏻♀️
Thank you very much.

yes was like that when i first visited. Current system relatively recent - and better I think
The ambient sounds of nature would have been nice too.
Sadly, the dominant ambient sound at Stonehenge is the traffic on the A303.
