This is so key - taking proven story telling strategies and translating them into a pitch deck is the only way to create a winning presentation in my opinion. I help founders deconstruct pitch decks using whiteboard software in order to see the core elements of their pitch. Using sticky notes on Miro, I'm able to identify the best order and any gaps in their deck so that it can be reconstructed in a way that sticks.
More directly know your audience. This means appealing to their idealisms but recognizing the real motivators of the wealth hoarding dragon you’re speaking to. It’s important to connect their sense of person good to their exploitative position. Make the villain feel like a good guy. By recognizing the perverse incentives of the capitalist you will be able to manipulate them while persevering your self interest. In the work place there is a similar dynamic but it’s not as prostitute like. By optimistically pitching you open up your self to real pain. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE, SITUATION, AND CONTEXT!
Except from the mention of the next uber or doordash lol any really big investor ain't looking for that because they know its like a needle in a haystack. They are looking for growth and profit that is all, not the next doordash, if it happens nice but no big investor goes in with that mindset ever because they've most likely been burned countless time! Be careful listening to this, sounds like good advice but some of the points could easily lose you a big investor 🤷 personal experience
What are the economic benefits of such products and how can they facilitate things in your life . Example, solar energy reduces electric bills and reduces pollution ...
Who is doing milk proteins using a soy expression platform? I know several use more of a fermentation process (yeast expression platforms, I think); but I had not heard of milk proteins on soya. Do we have a company name?
I stopped listening at 1.30sec due to you saying the next uber or doordash, any really big investors know that's just not true or a very very slim chance. Maybe some value to this video but just there, you lose the funding. Edit: all a investor is looking for is growth and making some profit. That's their start and if more ENSUES BONUS! Keep it consistent and keep it simple always! Don't low ball yourself and ask for more than you need! (Sounds weird but better to ask for more)
Because u guys are successful pitchers who have made millions from your pitch and have successful business…ya dint think so either!…. Just sit down already😂😂😂😂
If you pitch a VC, you better know they only invest in startups with unicorn potential. Otherwise they dont invest. So if you aim build a $100 million company you will get zero investments. No VC is interested in that. 90% of all startups go bankrupt. This is a well known fact. To recoup their money and earn a profit, they need unicorn startups.
I'm a cheese lover. Got a file I keep on my favorite cheeses so I remember which ones I've tried and how they taste comparatively. I've never had a single soy "cheese" that didn't suck raw.
Great tips! From my experience, the most important is to focus on your audience and use words that relate to them personally.
Many pearls of wisdom here, five minutes that could be worth many millions of dollars.

Yes to every PITCHer of beer that makes any story fantastic!
This is a great presentation on self promotion. The nuance of creating a successful pitch, much less so.

lost me at plant-based ultra-processed “food” idea… it’s not the cow, it’s the how. Abuse of data.
Yep, me too, and at "soy-based." No hormonal emasculation for me, thanks.
2000 pitches a year is 55 a day lol
oh for god's sake, even here... soya is not an equivalent to animal protein and will never be goooshhhh... too longwinded...
Nothing tasty about soy
