Great first flosstube. I am a progress/process stitcher with 14 WIPS currently. I would also like to get them to under 10 but am trying to limit myself to no more than 15 WIPS. I also love the process of cross stitch which is why I have so many charts kitted and ready to go. I use WIPGO as a plan of what I would like to get done during the following month, so I fill that in after the numbers are pulled, it works well for me at this time. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming flosstubes.

I love seeing progress on my WIPs along with the process of picking out the fabric/floss and then the feeling of the floss pulling through the fabric. I hope that makes sense! I love progress. I plan out my stitching , which means when I am on the go I take projects that fit the setting. So I have several projects I’m working on a week. Dance, waiting in the car, travel. Then when I get close to a finish I finish those in my early morning 45 min stitching time.
Sometimes I think I like planning the stitching just as much as the actual stitching!!😆😆
@@molliemcmaker absolutely. I was actually thinking this morning that the Kitting is my fav. Organizing the floss on rings and all that jazz !!

Nice 1st video! I guess I'd be a process stitcher. I have about 23 WIPs of all sizes but I keep starting smalls and finishing them though! Happy stitching!

I feel I'm in both camps being a process and progress depending on the day and project. I love it all. Because I am a seasonal stitcher, I start many projects and don't mind leaving them unfinished if I'm ready for the new season. However, I usually have 10 or less projects per season or theme. Great first flosstube and happy birthday!

I am a little bit of both. When I am stitching on a Mystery SAL or a SAL, I am definitely a progress stitcher and feel the need and the want to keep up. On the other hand, I am also a process stitcher. I just love the process of cross stitching from picking out a chart, to kitting it up, to starting it and then the finish. Great 1st FlossTube.

I am very glad to meet you. He you will share your quilting someday. I am a process stitcher. I don't have many tips in cross stitch because I like big projects and work on them for some time before moving on but do quilting, surface embroidery, and gardening as well

I struggle with 40 count to and put off those projects as i need to use the freeatanding mag lamp i have, but people say that if you stick to 40 you get used to it, i hope one day thats me as stitching on 40+ looks gorgeous to me.
I rather disagree with the process/progress stitching thing, for me i stitch mostly because its calming for me but i love finishing something and having that achievement, but i never framed or finish things into display items, i dont really have the skill, nor am i that fussed to learn.
I do mass starts, where i start a bunch of things over a couple of weeks because i stress over starting things, measuring it all up etc, so just having a load of things started makes things so easy for me, but often ill stick to one thing and finish it, even with having maybe 15 things in bags already started.
I did get a new pss today that im eager to finish, so may start that on the weekend.

I was always a monogamous stitcher but I do have a few old WIPS (4).
I just love seeing a finished product but not necessarily an FFO. I did complete 30 finished projects in a couple months just to knock back my stash a couple years ago.

And there is another group, an embroidery guild, meets somewhere in inner Houston.
I haven’t been to any of these but am going to try to make some meetings in the future.
@@molliemcmakerI live in cypress so not so close to any group meetings. I will do some research. Before Covid 3 Stitches had a Wednesday group that met in the morning. 45 minute drive for me.

Thank you Birgit! The Fat Quarter Shop has a video tutorial (it's many years old now) for a very large vinyl front bag, I modified that one to make mine smaller. Also, Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch has a video tutorial for an all fabric bag, again I modified the dimensions to work for what I wanted. You can do it!

Also, what is the difference between process and progress stitching?
Process is someone who more enjoys the process of stitching, may have more WIPS and maybe less concerned about finishing what they start. A progress stitcher likes to finish things and may have less WIPS. But really we all like stitching or we wouldn't do it, I guess we are all process stitchers in the end!!

Hi Tracy!! Where in Texas are you from? Hopefully the hurricane didn't impact you! There are two shops near Houston, that I know about, and they are over an hour away, so I've only been to each once. I do most of my shopping online, Lindy Stitches, Top Knot Stitcher, and the Fat Quarter Shop.
