Since Covid the City Clerk’s Office doesn’t allow “walk-ins” anymore. For the time being, you will receive your Marriage License by appointment only. The "walk-ins” might resume at one point but at the time of this recording everything is by appointment only.
Today we are going to show you what it looks like to secure a virtual marriage license interview with the City Clerk’s Office on the Project Cupid website.

Hi thank you this was helpful. Our wedding is in September 2023, we have been trying to schedule a virtual appointment but we don't see any available time slots in the month of August and September. Is this because the two months are all booked or do they only populate on Thursdays?

You might want to check again. I just went to the website and there are dozens of appointments available every day through August 18.

@@JackieandSascha Does it matter the location. We have been trying everyday including today and no availability for virtual appointments. Brooklyn, NY

@@user-vh9fq1mm8q Location shouldn't matter. But if you want to be 100% sure you could try to a VPN so it "looks like" you are in New York. Are you using the correct website? Manhattan Office, right? nyc.gov/cupid

Hi I just wanted to ask you a question please. If I want my marriage license to say February 14 then will that be the application day or will it be the next day 24 hours when the marriage license is signed? which day should I go to the court house, would that be on February 13 or February 14 since we have to wait 24 hours? please help

If you want your marriage license to show February 14 then you have to get married on the 14th. The date has nothing to do with what day you pic up your license. Hope that helps. :)

    Hi!
Is there something download to verify your location for the virtual ceremony? Or is it just a verbal testimony? This is the only thing we couldn’t find and wanted to be ready for our virtual appointment :) thanks!

They will ask you, when you log on, if you are currently in the state of New York. I don't think they check IP addresses or something.
