I feel like this would be more generally helpful with an overview of the 2 most effective ways to make the most out of frostbite at the top. Either freeze at the start of the fight and hard swap to a higher AR infusion of your weapon of choice to take advantage of the absorbtion debuff, or treat it like bleed with some way to reset with fire damage.
Appreciate the feedback. Tbh the best is still frost & bleed (although I avoided bleed builds in this one). If you’re a mage the debuff is better & for hard hitting strength builds. For faster weapons fire & frost work better. 🤘
Great video Matt , frost is my favorite status Effekt out of all . Bleed is right after . The one thing I don’t like about frost is that it scales with int and ur very limited in ur playstyle / build . Every other element scales with faith , don’t know why frost doesn’t . A frost knight/ samurai build is so cool - I love it . Imagine u could switch between frost fire and lightning in 1 build without having to respec .
@@YourAverageVarietyGameryes , gotta try that in my next run ! Also an idea for a new video : how do u feel about making a video with “Hommage” builds . For example a German build / lady Maria build from bloodborne, a nameless king build or even anime builds like Zorro from one peace ? Just a suggestion 😃❤
Another fun one, it is more of a late game build, is the helphens steeple and dark moon greatsword. Works really well in a jump attack build with the dark moon greatsword projectiles as a backup.
Yep Darkmoon is awesome. The ash of war is great for stance & magic damage but has low frost build up. Those 2 with the powerstance work well though for sure! 🤘
For a good ice spear build the claymans harpoon is the go to weapon. Probably a stupid question but will any spear/halberd that has magic affinity put on it and a B scaling in intelligence (which scales the magic damage mostly) be as good? Or does the innate magic split scaling of the harpoon (in addition to the added magic affinity) give it the best damage output?
The best is actually the guardian swordspear that I’ve tried. AR is a factor and it has dexterity & int scaling. So a keen, cold or magic swordspear will beat out the clayman’s harpoon. No strength scaling so you’ll want to go with a dexterity leaning weapon. 🤘
@@YourAverageVarietyGamer my entire comment was based on me having the swordspear and it doing similar damage to the harpoon even though its not fully upgraded. Had the answer but didn't know why. Thanks for the reply 🙏🏽
My favorite frost somber weapon is helphens steeple but my favorite infusible frost weapon is probably the watchdogs greatsword since it gets an A scaling in frost affinity
Strength can scale with fire, and so can faith with flame art. So whichever one of those 2 stats you want to run, then dexterity. First I would level vigor & endurance then get those other 2 stats leveled up evenly.
I’m trying to make a twinblade ice spear build but I keep seeing the damage difference, do I have to use sword spear for great damage or is there a secret version of twinblade I don’t know about lol
Ice spear scales with Dex, INT & AR. So there’s a lot going on with the ash as far as damage. Generally though a good Dex weapon with high AR (like the swordspear) is always best. 🤘
@@YourAverageVarietyGamer Thank you! I'll try with the Godskin Peeler and make it either cold or keen and see how that works, otherwise I'll snag a sword spear along the way.
@@YourAverageVarietyGamer procs frost on 3rd hit of wild strikes and 4th hit is bleed. The damage with all the successive attack talismans and tear is nutty.
Be sure to sub! 🤘

Nice! Yeah that would be a cool combo. Probably works well with unsheathe too! 🤘

Good video, concise to the point and truthful, keep it up man
Great video and the builds you make are great. I will try the cold guts one day
Thank you! 🙏 deff try that one, it’s great 🤘

Nice! Solid choices 🤘
For the fire and frost build what stats would you recommend leveling up first?
Strength can scale with fire, and so can faith with flame art. So whichever one of those 2 stats you want to run, then dexterity. First I would level vigor & endurance then get those other 2 stats leveled up evenly.
U mention status effect multiplier for roars, where does it say this?
I like the fire frost build, for you is good to change the stats to a Dex/int build to pump the frost infused weapon instead of fire one ? Thanks
I would lean more towards the fire part and just a little dexterity.

Frost and bleed is insane I run frost on the flamberge with wild strikes I love it.
Yep it is! I’ll have to try it on the Flamberge, sounds fun. 🤘

I can’t even figure out how to activate them both I can only do one at a time
