Hello, somehow I found this video and watched the whole thing. It was just a second of seeing your face and I watched the whole video and it was like watching a Saturday motor channel. I mean that in a very good way the way you are a small girl, you have large and beautiful dreams. Another way of saying this is that I believe your videos are as good as what you see on tv. And those folks have national sponsership. You all are great. Keep it up.
Mosier QA1 and Willwod thank you very much for the donation , good sponsors for Liv Scaffidi RUclips channel thanks BigAl California good good job thanks BigAl California
Love this build. The only thing I would have done differently is scuffed all the rusted areas and it either sprayed some Rustoleum rust reformer on them, then some sort of paint, or hand painted with POR-15. That's a beautiful classic survivor car and it deserves to live as long as possible. My neighbor had that very car when I was young and it brings back a lot of fond memories for me. Love the new fellows you are working with.
Thanks for picking this video the car is good also because it's something you see all the time, there are a lot of classic cars that need to be seen. Good work.
Liv, that 12 bolt is really nice. I'm proud of you for not putting a 9 inch in a GM.
Every guy needs a Liv in their life :)
good that they're partnering w you ...big bux!
This is the first time I've ever seen a triple action pressure washer nozzle on wheels! Really nifty! I could definitely use one of these here in the Pennsylvania rust belt! Blow all the nasty winter salt and grime off!👌😁You know what else is unbelievable besides that new axle setup? How solid and rust free those California cars are!! Absolutely amazing! To find an unrestored car in that condition around here is a unicorn!
Its really interesting to watch the difference between a builder in the south-west vs one in the north-east. Salty winters vs pretty dry all the time. In the NE bolts and mating surfaces often get a coating of anti-seize to the fight the rust that is coming. In the south that precaution is often skipped. Fascinating.
Man hardly no rust underneath, such a cool build
Seeing the flip-flops reminded me of Finnegan, don't be him and weld in flip-flops lol
Like that you left space between axle tubes and brake lines. Makes tie down easier. What we really need is a hookup for straps built in!
Excellent 👌 Liv you sure know how to Love a Pontiac🥰 😁 that's a Mighty nice rear-end you have 💯😉
Thats one very nice rear axle
I have a 67 Cutlass with an LS 5.3 TURBO. You will need the Holley 302-3 pan to clear the cross member and steering components!. or the 302-2 pan, but the 302-3 already has turbo drainback fittings for future upgrades
Liv you did an outstanding job picking all the right stuff for that Tempest rear end when it go's down the street I don't think it will be shy showing it off. GREAT JOB.
I can’t wait to see this car up and running , I never say done be they never are really done always upgrades are to be done to a project but this car is coming along fantastic…
Always said Liv had a fine Rear end !
✌️💙🎵
After mentioning the stance (Gasser look), I imagined straight axle and leaf's! (LOL) This baby is gonna ride likes it's on rails! ❤✌
Hi Olivia cool videos' your posting
Great Video from QA1! They know how to advertise.
Hello Liv I was an Engineer in the United States Navy for 20 years remember doing a piston and cylinder swap out on a 12 cylinder Detroit Diesel after a Crankcase explosion at 3:am in the morning and being underway in the Persian Gulf 😮
The Tempest is starting to come together. Looks good 👍
This car is gonna be incredible !
This is the start of what's gonna be a crazy cool car.
Some nice parts. I’m rocking a explorer rearend on my 57.
Nicely done, Liv. That car will move like it's on rails... I would definitely love a setup like that on my 67 lemans..
That's a good looking rear end girl. And the axle is pretty neat too!
I wish they all could be California CARS. SO F..EN CLEAN.
33 spline, 1350 u-joints along with the big ford housing ends would have been over kill for now but in the future would be stronger for more power.
Gonna be a cool 67
Search "1967 Pontiac dealer poster" to see 3 of the posters I told you about. A black and a red GTO and a white Sprint with the cool factory side stripes. They are the exact same ones you could get for .75 cents. I still think there is another one with a blue Sprint like yours.
Hello Liv the Tempest is coming along great can't wait to see more of the build Wishing you well Take Care
looks great, liv your getting pretty handy with wrenches on your car, an LS3 430hp from an 08 vette would be awesome with a tremic 5 speed manual
Looks BAD ASS Liv! This car is gonna be KILLER!!!!
Looks amazing
Really nice. Great job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
Entertaining Video for a Tuesday morning. Great work as always !!
Really enjoy your videos! My brother got a similar Moser 12 bolt for his 66 Chevy II. You’ll be hard pressed to break it.
Wow that Tempest is going to be one bad ass ride. Awesome content! Keep the vids coming 👍
Wish I had that old rear end. Surprised you didn't paint the brake bracket for the rear and.
Nice moser rear end ..
Just GREAT LIV!!! I love watching a beautiful young lady building a hot rod! :)
👍
this is a bad ass & BUILD CAN'T wait to see what engine is going into this one!!!!!!!! your BF with the LONG hair know's his LS ENGINES WELL!!!!! ***WHAT UP Danny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let's see some 69 Camaro turn ups!!!!
This is exactly what I'm doing to my '70 Goat this winter. QA1 makes awesome stuff. Yet again another excellent video Liv keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! Good luck with your GTO 😊

the truck... the motor just gets lost in the space.... and a land speed spec battery pack(350mph car)made from Honda Insight prasmatic cell = 3000amps...
What a nice rear you have Liz ;-) Nicest one I have seen in a long time. Put it to good use and make shure
you video lots of smokey burn-outs with the new engine/ rear set-up.. Regards from Ody Slim
Might want to get the rear shock sport bracket from UMI it helps with rear Coilovers
Don't throw away the stock parts. Some restorer/hot rod/rat rod person will use them. The front drums are pretty cool with the cooling fins. In the mid to late 1960's Pontiac made these poster sized pictures of their new cars for that model year. You could send .75 cents to Pontiac and they would send a paper mailing tube to you with 4-5 posters of the new GTO's and Lemans and Firebirds. Look in the Hot Rod magazines from 1967-1969 and find the Pontiac advertisements then read the fine print. As a kid I went for it and still have the posters from 1967 and 1969. One of the posters is a 1967 6 cylinder Sprint/Lemans in a very similar color as yours. As a 62 year old geezer I like to see younger kids interested in wrenching on old cars.
I gave all the old stock parts to a friend who’s also a hot rodder. 👍
Did you see Jay Lenos sprint six fix for his 68 fire bird...he had special cam following rockers....Easy off works great on grease and grime. Just don't get it on you. Car is so nice. You guys are lucky.
👋
Nice, you have upped your game big time.the tempest is going to be awsome. Why didn't you paint the frame and engine bay?
panhard bar for the win
Nice rear end you will have a hard time breaking that. You will need a sway bar so when it weelstands it will be level and go straight.
Back in the late 1960's and 70's people started using air shocks with their factory coil springs. After a couple years of using the air shocks the frame would fatigue on the upper shock mount and crack and finally fail. And that was with the factory springs supporting most of the weigh. Now, people see these coil over shocks like some kind of needed item. I can't imagine how long these frames will last when the whole weight of the rear of the car is supported on the upper shock mounts. Yeah, it sure looks pretty, but, be prepared for frame failure and now with only the coil overs supporting the rear of the car, it should make a pretty spectacular crash when it all bottoms out going down the highway. I guess the aftermarket coil over people gloss over this point a bit. But, back then people drove their cars every day. Now, they seem to be used to go to coffee shops. The aftermarket people are a little short on the design of these things in my view. I guess that's why so many cars built today can't seem to go 200 miles without a break down. The power tour is a great example of this. Thanks for the video and good luck with your project.
Did moser provide the coil over brackets that are welded to the axle tubes?
Hope you don't mind I will copy this on my 66 Chevelle!
Go for it! If you call up Moser, QA1 or Wilwood, be sure to tell them Liv sent you. 😊 I think you will be very very happy with this set up.
Is there a reason you went with the moser 12 bolt over say a currie 9 inch assembly?
What size wheel are you going to have to use?
Liv ! You should invest in a steam washer and you won’t have to get in there and scrape that stuff. Go to your local equipment auction and you may find a cheap diesel steam washer. It’s just my experience and a little advice from an old man to you to make your life a bit easier.
did you think of media blasting it?
Nice upgrades to the car. How much did the parts cost? I need to do the same upgrades.
I linked the parts in the description box! :)
This babe knows her stuff, I'm very impressed, just don't feed nitrous to a 10 bolt like someone we know!
Miss a few vidyas and Junkyard Johnny is gone? Where's Travis?
What's that setup run? 👏 I have a 66 I'd love to replicate what you have going for rear end/coilovers/breaks setup.
You can buy the entire rear end and brake kit from Moser Engineering. It is part of their Muscle Pak line. The QA1 kit is their Level 2 handling kit for A-bodies. 👍
Why didn’t you treat the underside of the car? It would have improved it so much more
It has some FORD parts in it, so it will be built tough. 😆
Liv, next time y'all need to clean up an engine compartment, try using oven cleaner. I've had better luck with oven cleaner than foaming Engine cleaner
She didn't wipe off the coating on the inside of the hub for the emergency brake
I did. I just didn’t include the footage. It was 2 minutes of me wiping the rotors
I noticed you have drum and disc brakes in the rear.....??? Why..?
I kept the front drums because I was about to do a collaboration on the front discs with Wilwood! You’ll see that in the next video.
drum is the e-brake.
IL take all the dents and creases over replacing floor plans. Rustoleum 777 duplicates GM CHASSIS BLACK.
We just need to get her in the gym and build a little arm and shoulder strength, i think she is doing well
COOL #PONTIAC...
IT AINT NOTHING LIKE HAVING A PONTIAC IN A COLLECTION..LOL
Hey liv loving you’re content
So I’m assuming this guy is you’re new boyfriend?
😊
Genius
Hi, is your Dad Roy Scaffidi?
Sorry but you set off my OCD with reusing that rusty brake line bracket.
I would have cleaned off the rust and repainted it.
Do you have inner fender liners for it.lf you don't have them for it...my advice don't drive the car in the rain.
agree with the guy underneath you will regret not doing it now and bug you later
Liv@telagram????? must be a scammer!! Whatchout people!!!!
