Hello, somehow I found this video and watched the whole thing. It was just a second of seeing your face and I watched the whole video and it was like watching a Saturday motor channel. I mean that in a very good way the way you are a small girl, you have large and beautiful dreams. Another way of saying this is that I believe your videos are as good as what you see on tv. And those folks have national sponsership. You all are great. Keep it up.

Love this build. The only thing I would have done differently is scuffed all the rusted areas and it either sprayed some Rustoleum rust reformer on them, then some sort of paint, or hand painted with POR-15. That's a beautiful classic survivor car and it deserves to live as long as possible. My neighbor had that very car when I was young and it brings back a lot of fond memories for me. Love the new fellows you are working with.

This is the first time I've ever seen a triple action pressure washer nozzle on wheels! Really nifty! I could definitely use one of these here in the Pennsylvania rust belt! Blow all the nasty winter salt and grime off!👌😁You know what else is unbelievable besides that new axle setup? How solid and rust free those California cars are!! Absolutely amazing! To find an unrestored car in that condition around here is a unicorn!

Its really interesting to watch the difference between a builder in the south-west vs one in the north-east. Salty winters vs pretty dry all the time. In the NE bolts and mating surfaces often get a coating of anti-seize to the fight the rust that is coming. In the south that precaution is often skipped. Fascinating.

Don't throw away the stock parts. Some restorer/hot rod/rat rod person will use them. The front drums are pretty cool with the cooling fins. In the mid to late 1960's Pontiac made these poster sized pictures of their new cars for that model year. You could send .75 cents to Pontiac and they would send a paper mailing tube to you with 4-5 posters of the new GTO's and Lemans and Firebirds. Look in the Hot Rod magazines from 1967-1969 and find the Pontiac advertisements then read the fine print. As a kid I went for it and still have the posters from 1967 and 1969. One of the posters is a 1967 6 cylinder Sprint/Lemans in a very similar color as yours. As a 62 year old geezer I like to see younger kids interested in wrenching on old cars.

  • @pnuts1649

Back in the late 1960's and 70's people started using air shocks with their factory coil springs. After a couple years of using the air shocks the frame would fatigue on the upper shock mount and crack and finally fail. And that was with the factory springs supporting most of the weigh. Now, people see these coil over shocks like some kind of needed item. I can't imagine how long these frames will last when the whole weight of the rear of the car is supported on the upper shock mounts. Yeah, it sure looks pretty, but, be prepared for frame failure and now with only the coil overs supporting the rear of the car, it should make a pretty spectacular crash when it all bottoms out going down the highway. I guess the aftermarket coil over people gloss over this point a bit. But, back then people drove their cars every day. Now, they seem to be used to go to coffee shops. The aftermarket people are a little short on the design of these things in my view. I guess that's why so many cars built today can't seem to go 200 miles without a break down. The power tour is a great example of this. Thanks for the video and good luck with your project.
