She is 9 years old in this video. When she was 7 she won Norway's got talent. At 13 she was on America's got talent the champions. Check out all of them. Since America's got talent she has signed with a label. She will not perform in shoes until all children have shoes.
So, you see that at nine years and two months old she is already a professional and accomplished artist. She chose this song as a tribute to the original singer, whose picture is shown in the beginning. The papers she handed to the band leader were her last-minute changes for him. This performance is not typical of Angelina but shows that she can perform in any genre, although she prefers jazz. She always performs barefoot and there is an interesting story behind that. She has been in the public eye since she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent in 2013, when she was 7, and won it at age 8. She will be 16 in January and signed to Republic Records as a highest priority new artist in 2020. Her recent releases of originals and covers are beyond superlative. Angie's musical abilities are beyond mere mortal understanding!

where she can reach the high level of someone like Whitney Houston
(I Have nothing), all the way down to the lowest registers when she
perform's a gospel classic called 'How Great Thou Art' and sounds
very much like Elvis Presley. She is referred to as 'Girl Of 1000 Voices'
because of her ability to emulate the vocals of great singers, too many
to fully list but include Adele, Billie Holiday, and Amy Winehouse. When
she was six and met a poor girl in the street of a mid east village, she
noticed that the girl had no shoes. Angelina proceeded to give the girl
her own shoes and made a vow to never wear shoes when performing
so that people can be constantly reminded that many in this world don't
even own a simple pair of shoes. She has helped raise in excess of 29
million dollars by participating in charity concerts throughout the world.
I'll end by saying that there has never been a singer with her versatility
with regard to mastering numerous genres of music.

At a VERY young age, she woke up, got out of bed, went to brush her teeth and then started to sing like it was the most natural thing in the world. She , at six years old I believe , once said that singing was as important as breathing to her. She is like watching a flower blossom or the sun rise, she is music!!

She chooses all her own songs & does all her own arrangements ever since she was very young, even when she did Screaming Jay Hawkins “I put a spell on you” at barely 9, even at 7 & 8 on NGT (Norway’s Got Talent). On AGT-C Angie made her outfit from silkscreen patterns of her grandma's art work when she was 13 back in Norway. She makes several of her other outfits for shows & concerts too. She also paints great, plays 5 instruments & speaks & sings 4+ languages, English being her 3rd. Angie turned 16 on 1-10-22. Angie is a very kind, giving, loving, respectful, humble & a big hearted Christian girl. She always sings barefoot when performing & she wrote a book about it at 9 called “Between Two Worlds” & she was/is the youngest to be published in Norway.

Norwegian born Angelina began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever winner of an international Got Talent Show! She is a true prodigy.
She is now almost 16, and has recorded well over 150 songs, including mostly covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records over a year ago. Why does Angelina sing barefoot?
When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and promised she would never again wear shoes while performing until all children of the world had shoes! At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina penetrates hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. I trust this will cause you to embrace her as millions of others have, and that you will continue down the rabbit hole from which you would not want to escape. Peace.

She was discovered when she first opened her mouth to sing on Norway’s Got Talent at 7 years old, and she was recognized as an artist, a true prodigy, during rehearsals for the semifinals when she was observed instructing the musicians how she wanted the song played to accompany her. Angelina Jordan is the barefoot angel, not princess, only royals are kings, queens, princes, and princesses who have entitlement, not regular people, we have to earn everything in life.

1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway.
2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records.
3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music.
4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. Hopefully this will remain as she continues her career with Republic.
5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot and I hope by now that you have discovered the incredible reason why she does that.
6. AJ sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old!
7. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come.
8. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.

It's voodoo, or she's a vocal savant. She is holding a candle in the beginning of the original composer. She is channeling him. Go look at his version, Screamin Jay Hawkins. A baby girl from Norway singing songs that a few of the jazz greats have been able to attempt.

In addition to school she got also vocal training at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (I read, that this school said, they couldn't teach her more stuff because she has all learned what she could learn in this school ;-) ) - and btw. she plays also grand piano, violin, flute and guitar, make her arrangements herself, wrote a book, sew clothes for herself (partly with art from her grandma like in her first AGT performance and in her music video "Shield").

At the beginning you see her something writing on a sheet and a man reading it and smiles than.. in an interview this man, who was the "bandleader", said, this were some "wishes" from Angelina (she was every time very polite he said) for changes of her arrangement for the piano :)))
The candle you can see at about 0:12 shows a portrait of J. Hawkins - I think her grandma bought it at a concert in Tokyo ;)

Here is why Angelina always performs barefoot.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.

She is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talked with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina sings barefoot to this day to remind the world that there are still children in need. All book proceeds go to charity.

Angelina is 9 here and she sings in English! That's her third language. You know she's from Norway. There, everyone speaks Norwegian. From the age of 6, Angelina read and sing English texts and understand what everything means! She is amazing in many ways.

We were just saying that these folks, Dimash, Angelina, Diana, etc could whip out thier superpowers to save citizens from blah concerts😆 They are so over the top and duets seem fragile. Diana's Wonderful World is a good step for her vocalizing. She can't just sing Mega Epic songs all the time.
