    MashaAllah--as an American-born Pakistani, I could never be more proud than I was when I watched this video. Ustadh Kamil and the owner of the house have taught us that the God-centered world-view is what always has given birth to such beauty. I'm so excited for part 2. Ustadh Kamil is an incredible man and reminds me of the great Hassan Fathy.

      Great revival effort.
      I am not an architect but few questions arise at least foe me;
      1.) @Kamil Sahib jee or @banjaiga team: are the brick structures sustainable i.e. depelation of food bearing soil when bricks are made.

    • @gurmitsingh3120
      @gurmitsingh3120 2 года назад

      2.) There must be a rain water drainage system in the home/city planning.
      Urban sprawl (and the lack of rain water drainage) is one of the reason of water depelation.

On top of the recognition and credit that goes to Mr Kamil Khan and his clients for realising this great vision, a big thank you goes to all the team involved in building it and also to everyone who worked to deliver this video. You guys are doing a priceless job in reviving lost skills and our heritage. I’m based in London and my professional background is Architecture so I can truly relate to the scale, proportion and design philosophy of Mr Khan. I see how historic buildings are maintained, respected and protected here in the UK and I dream that our people will do more for our heritage… especially as it was this amazing architecture that gave birth to the western enlightenment. Admirable red brick building complex. A piece of my dreams. It would be great adding a "mughal era" cooling technique to any one of its chambers, which I witnessed during late 60s up till 1980s or so. It was used for ventilation and cooling of a basement. The system was not static but had a rotating mechanism. The whole knowledge I want to pass on to sir mumtaz, if shall succeed in contacting him.

    This building makes me cry and its oddly familiar. It seems I have walked these corridors in some other timeline in some other universe. This building feels alive and it is talking to me. I have never felt this way looking at another building. I might sound crazy but this is exactly how I feel looking at it.

    A lovely brick building. It makes my Dutch hearth beat a little faster to see such beauty.
