If anyone is wondering, most invertebrates don’t feel pain, that includes the incredibly vast majority of insects. If you’re having doubt about it- think about when a spiders leg falls off, they don’t thrash and limp in pain. If you’re wondering what invertebrates /do/ feel pain, it’s mostly marine life such as crabs, lobsters and octopuses.
@@CC-lq3ie hmm, insects are kind of basic.. using the example of why and how Hornets attack. Its an autonomic response, releasing he pheromones , then the others following suit. Wow they look huge I got stung by a bee and that was painful it's something to see these big varmints get stuck. I hate the thought of being stung by one of these.
Sadly, two bees also got caught right at the beginning (on the right side).. but it shows the huge size difference between them and the hornets. ps I wonder who would win..African army ants or giant hornets....
Giant hornets have no chance to kill an army of army ants, if they don´t use some secret chemical. I don´t know any that hornets could use, so they´re dead. But I think they could destroy a killer bee hive.
@Ralph Hunt I was just joking. But remember that if the enemy can't throw everything at you,, it doesn't matter how many "soldiers" it has. I meant wasps in a circle next to each other, so the ants can't attack in big numbers, cuz once they reach the wasp they die.
I watched a video of a guy filming wasps hatching, and in the video he said he's protecting bees, but the video was the opposite, he was hatching wasps and they were flying off.
thanks for the advice! I live in Tokyo and they are a real pest in Summer. I'll use a trap like this with honey this time to kill them. They're pretty scary.
Hi, good that you live in japan where you dont have such idiotic leaders like in example Germany where it is forbidden to kill or hurt wasp and hornets. You can get fined for up to max 50.000€ in some parts of germany. Like your video, keep protecting your bees :)
Your bees are protected so why should wasps not be protected? Yes, in Germany people who kill wasps for no reason can be fined. If the wasps are really a problem they prefer to move the entire wasp colony rather than to kill it. I don't see what is wrong with that approach. I like it better than this sticky paper method which kills the wasps slowly in a horrible way.
I am against killing for fun, but they are pest in my eyes. They come and kill everything, you cant move them if you dont know from where they are coming from so you need to kill them before they kill your bees. If they would leave my bees alone i would not have any probs with them
What benefit does a wasp or a hornet provide? Honey bees literally pollinate our food supply, without them we would cease to exist. Wasps and hornets serve no purpose other than to be assholes.
