  • Hua Hin is a great town to live in but sometimes it can seem too busy and I feel the need to get away. Last week I took you to a new beach that I recently discovered…Sai Noi Beach. Today we venture a little further south to Pranburi Beach which is only a 30-minute drive from Hua Hin So come and join me on my motorbike while I take a drive south of Hua Hin to the beautiful Pranburi Beach.

    I head down to Hua Hin from Chiang Rai about twice a year and as an avid cyclist always bring my bike. Pranburi beach is a a great ride from HH and the beach road is very scenic with a few nice coffee stops.

      Hi Steven. Thanks for your comment and input. I see a lot of bicycle riders heading that way out of Hua Hin it's a lovely drive once you get off the main road. I was in Ban Krut a few months ago and there were many bike riders from Western countries that had landed in Bangkok and were cycling tour from there down to Phuket. Stopping each night in a different town. I think I'll stick to my motorbike

    Great Tip about the quicker way ! Same here in the USA sometimes with those map creators.

      Hi Ajay. Yes sometimes Google maps steer you wrong. A year ago I typed in Sairee Beach, Chumphom and I ended up in a coconut plantation about 15 kilometers inland from the beach when a voice told me... You have arrived.
      But at least it's free and most of the time they get it right.
      Cheers

    A friend lives in this area and works at ratchaphakdi-park 7 kings statues. Will visit here during my next trip . No farang is a bonus with prices for locals. Hua hin is firmly on the radar now. Thanks for nice review Ged.

      You're welcome Adrian I'm glad that it was useful for you. There are many more beaches like that within a short drive from Hua Hin. I will probably do a few more videos on some of them in the future

    I have been watching your videos last few months. I found an inexpensive place to stay in Hua Hin and you’re right it’s a comfortable easy and relaxed lifestyle here. The people have been very friendly. The food is great. I think I’ll take that ride to Panbury today if the sun comes out. Well it’s Friday May 24 maybe I’ll
    Wait and do it on Saturday and enjoy the night market. Thanks for all the great videos.

      Sorry I pushed send before I finished. It's not as tropical here as Koh Samui but it's a very nice place to live. Enjoy your trip to Pranburi and take your appetite with you because the food at the market is great
      Cheers

    Ged,
    I notice that almost all the food stalls have the qr codes to pay via your phone. Is that linked to your particular bank account or another type of app?

    • @thailandmyland...retiringd2351
      @thailandmyland...retiringd2351  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi Keith. I use it regularly and it's linked to my bank account. Most shops bars and restaurants here in Thailand use scanning of the qr code to be able to pay for goods and services. It's starting to be my preferred way of paying for everything as it's convenient and there's no extra charges it's just like using cash except that you don't have to carry cash with you just your phone.
      Cheers
      Ged
