But do the Maw even have a planet like Geonosis in it? I know that the Maw has an asteroid field, per Rogue Squadron 2. Plus the ad that mentioned Alderaan as the safest planet in the galaxy assumed 1 BBY at the latest (in Star Wars chronology) - and how would Star Tours get a flux capacitor when the Empire or the Rebel Alliance couldn't get one?
Death Star 1 had at least seven different construction sites between 2 BBY and 0 BBY, in no particular order: the Maw, Coruscant, Fondor, Ryloth, Geonosis, Eriadu and Despayre. It may have been over Geonosis by that point in 1 BBY...
On my way home from vacation in Disneyland. This was by far my favorite attraction. I went on this ride like 10 times. First 3 times we got the forest speeder and under water scene. We were very confused.. But after that we got one new scene after the other, and what a thrill that was. Some of these are VERY different, and the vehicle movements were very different.. The hoth one stands out when the ship gets stuck on a cliffside, and slowly tilts over, that felt very real, as you where hanging from your seatbelt. This was number 1 attraction for me. SO well made!!
THAT. WAS. AMAZING. I never thought I'd get a chance to see all the variations! And to see such a crystal-clear copy of the video, instead of just a jiggly poor copy of the 3D image (except for the few moments where we needed to see what was going on in the theater, and I appreciated that). I have no idea how you managed to get this all assembled, but a million thanks for it! :)
I was a little dizzy after this ride. When I went, I got: Opening: Darth Vader First planet: Hoth Transmission: Yoda Ending: Boba Fett and the Death StR
When I came here for the first time as a little kid, I actually got scared from the "Don't Take Photographs During the Ride" when they were telling the rules for the ride before you get on. I was a chicken back then.

All in all though I wish that the prequels had a higher chance to be shown cause the scenarios seem to be highly weighted towards sequels
Thanks for doing this. Rode this multiple times in February when there are no lines of any significance. Saw both intros (Darth Vader appeared in four of the five rides), saw all the different runs in space to each planet, rode to the race, the ice planet, but not endor ever. Saw Yoda, Princess Leia, and Admiral Acabar. Saw the different endings. Interesting fact - Disney employees get lazy sometimes. The same seat four of the five rides picked the same seat every time as the "spy." On the fifth and final time on the ride, I mentioned to a Disney employee it seemed that the same seat was always selected as the spy. They told me, "not necessarily. Watch this time." I took my two 6 year old twins on the ride with me, and one of them was the spy. It was hilarious, as she exclaimed, "I am NOT a spy! I am NOT a spy!" It freaked her out a little but was quite cute. She wanted to ride again but we did not have the time to do so.
Said Separatist holdouts were part of the Rebel Alliance by 1 BBY - the Fortressa was a Droid Control Ship that was used as a Rebel carrier as part of a failed attack on the first Death Star. Venators were in Imperial service at the time, which means that Star Tours intercepted a discord missile meant for some Imperial ARC-170 or TIE fighter...

The Naboo one definitely has the freakiest ending. I love 3D but seeing a sharp part of a ship flying at you freaked me out quite a bit. :P
LOL And to think that Ian McDiarmid has been on this ride when he was at Disneyland for a Star Wars weekend earlier this year, he said Yoda came dangerously close. XD

Unfortunately, unlike the original Star Tours, this Star Tours relies on CGI. However, one thing this Star Tours has over the original Star Tours, is unpredictability. In other words, they recreate a lot of sequences from the entire Skywalker saga, and every single time you go on the ride, you never know what you're gonna see. For example, you can start off by either running into Darth Vader, or some storm troopers or Kylo Ren Then you go into hyperspace and crashland on either Hoth, or Jakuu, or Tatooine or Kaysshk You get transmissions from characters such as Admiral Achbar, Yoda, Princess Leia, BB-8, and Po Dameron And then you go into hyperpace again and crashland on either Naboo or Tatooine. It's one of those things where you have to go on the ride a few times in order to get every single situation that they throw out there. But, that just makes the ride all the more awesome. Granted, it does break continuity when you go to Hoth and they recreate the battle for Empire Strikes Back, and then suddenly go to Coursant where they recreate the opening battle for Revenge of the Sith, but that's not what the ride's suppose to be about. It's suppose to be about reliving those iconic moments from the movies. So... screw continuity.
Man... I remember the original ride. I loved that ride. Every time I went to MGM Studios that was my first destination every time. I have not gotten the chance to try this new version but I hope to soon. Looks awesome
I still stand by this: Since they have an entire location based on the sequels, they should make Star Tours only prequels & OT. It should be reserved to the ones that grew up on the Original 6. Every time I get on Star Tours, it always has at least one planet from the sequels. The Original 6 don’t get enough love here anymore, man.
Fun Fact: Hidden Mickey at about 17:18 Star Tours: The Adventures Continue - The Ultimate Experience Look to the blue rings in the lower right hand corner. ;)
@@bridgetmistryable scroll to about 17:19 or 17:20 and you can see the feint outline of the blue ear. It’s really easy to see while on the ride, it’s three glowing blue rings that spin to create the Mickey
@@bridgetmistryable There's another video where you can make it out a bit better than this one, even though it's blurry from the lack of 3D glasses. At the 90 or 91-ish second mark in the video below, you can get a better shot of the 3 revolving blue discs that make the mickey head. Keep your eyes trained at the lower right of the screen of the ride. ruclips.net/video/ZVrM_HXnOkc/видео.html
Idc what people say I love star tours no matter what changed I think it's the best and always will be for me and yes I did ride the original but both are good
Food for thought: This is a Legends ride since it debuted before 2014. However despite this, Disney still updated it with new characters and locations taken from the Sequel Trilogy and Disney Plus shows. So does that mean that the Legends continuity now has its own versions of the Sequel Trilogy and Disney Plus characters running around the galaxy…between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope?

well this is a prequel and it takes place between 3 and 4 sooooooooooo alderaan is techinically it's still around

However, one thing this Star Tours has over the original Star Tours, is unpredictability. In other words, they recreate a lot of sequences from the entire Skywalker saga, and every single time you go on the ride, you never know what you're gonna see.
For example, you can start off by either running into Darth Vader, or some storm troopers or Kylo Ren
Then you go into hyperspace and crashland on either Hoth, or Jakuu, or Tatooine or Kaysshk
You get transmissions from characters such as Admiral Achbar, Yoda, Princess Leia, BB-8, and Po Dameron
And then you go into hyperpace again and crashland on either Naboo or Tatooine.
RIP Carrie Fisher. :'(
14:22 She will be miss 😇
great ride, thanks for the video
RIP robot at 08:42 lol
Man... I remember the original ride. I loved that ride. Every time I went to MGM Studios that was my first destination every time. I have not gotten the chance to try this new version but I hope to soon. Looks awesome
It’s Hollywood Studios now
@@BardTheDragonProductions Yeah but it will always be MGM Studios to me 😆😆😆
I can't wait to ride this with Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Alice Liddell and Wendy Darling....and MAYBE the Bimbettes!
Well done. I made one of these edits sets myself. You did a great composite.
Ever wish Walt was still with us on this Earth?
Huh what
Fun Fact: Hidden Mickey at about 17:18 Star Tours: The Adventures Continue - The Ultimate Experience Look to the blue rings in the lower right hand corner. ;)
I looked at 17:18 and I don't see a hidden Mickey
@@bridgetmistryable scroll to about 17:19 or 17:20 and you can see the feint outline of the blue ear. It’s really easy to see while on the ride, it’s three glowing blue rings that spin to create the Mickey
@@FernandoGBueno still can't find it
@@bridgetmistryable There's another video where you can make it out a bit better than this one, even though it's blurry from the lack of 3D glasses. At the 90 or 91-ish second mark in the video below, you can get a better shot of the 3 revolving blue discs that make the mickey head. Keep your eyes trained at the lower right of the screen of the ride.

16:27 My favorite planet!!!
18:11 Me too. My favourite planet!
Mr. Disney would be impressed with the technology used to create the Star Wars movies.
