Great video, thank you! There are so many great piano libraries now, especially on Pianobook, it's almost mind-boggling. I was listening to this Spotify Playlist called "Peaceful Piano". While the tracks are lovely and, ahem/cough.......peaceful, yes... I noticed that (almost) every track there has the exact same piano tone. By the seventh or eighth track I started shaking my head thinking 'wait a second.....what is going on here.....these all sound the exact same!". It's not at all a criticism, merely an observation, because I genuinely love the tone of it! Yet, with the multitude of very similar piano vsts out there, I haven't quite found the library that all these cats are using,. Looks like I never got the memo that day on what piano-du-jour is the new trend. The LABS Soft Piano does come close, as does the NOIRE Felt with some tweaking, I've tried a few different other free ones yet....I can't quite nail that exact sound. The piano tone in that playlist has this in-yer-face mid-range, some pedal squeaks and squawks but nothing over-the-top (some tracks do have a bit too much of it), and just a touch of reverb. I've Googled it, there's someone who also has the same question about the piano used on that very specific playlist, he posted in a few different forums, but with all the comments I've read, no one seemed to have a clear answer, just "try this one _____", or "how about this one _________". etc. What is the piano used on Spotify's "Peaceful Piano" playlist in early 2024?! Aaaaargh.... lol! In any case, I loved this video, very informative and it got me rediscovering how great the Decent Sampler is, it's truly wonderful.
Hi, I can feel how you feel!! my search for this specific "peaceful piano sound" let me to this video here! 😂😂 And yes, I was thinking the same..."how can all the songs sound like being played with the same piano"??? I will try your mentioned 2 favorites thank you for this! Let me know, when you have found something better... 🙂
The Quarantine piano is another really cool pianobook instrument for decent sampler. It comes with other pads and percussion sounds as well. Definitely worth checking out💯
Does anyone have the Winter Felt Piano Prototype for Decent Sampler? The version I have has errors upon loading. It is no longer on PianoBook. Please, can someone help? Mondo? Thank you! Btw Mondo I bought $200 worth of stuff from you, two shirts, a hoodie, and all your sample packs, and the Lo-Fi Synth Presets pack. Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.
