Any idea if that zsk running at 2k stitcher per min is more of a marketing ploy? I have a tajima and although it can run 1k stitches per min, I run it at 750 or so.
Hey John, thanks for the great video. I'll probably never get back to California again myself, I lived in San Jose for a few years in the early to mid-90's. I'm a screen printer by trade and did some printing in the valley at that time but mainly did sales. Unfortunately didn't develop an interest in Embroidery until many years later. I'm just going to subscribe to your channel now as I think I can probably learn a lot from you. It was cool to see you so well received at many of the booths and I've bookmarked a couple of the people you interviewed at the show. Just so that non-US viewers aren't confused, the video's of the Grand Canyon tacked on at the end of your video were not taken in California, guessing you stopped off at Vegas on your way home. Nice to see the Canyon again also.
John, that was an absolutely fantastic review of the show. The embroidery and textile machines are amazing, and the technology in this industry is incredible. It was great to see Jesse enjoying the wonderful sights with you. Did he come over to Australia with you on any of your trips and manage to sight see? How nice for people to thank you for your generosly shared tutorials John, well deserved. ❤❤❤❤ 🇦🇺
Wow! It really was a great show! The dog hats are adorable (how would you embroider them?), the chenille combo machine is a game-changer, and the racer is epic! I wish there was a home version of the coloreel! Maybe someday...
Awe, I was there as well, and would have loved meeting you in person! I ordered one of the ZSK machines at the show. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. That being said, do you do chenille digitizing ?
Amazing to see all the things being offered to production folks. Thanks for bringing it to us. The sad thing is people see these things being worn by other people and then want the average embroiderer to duplicate it for them with the average embroidery machine. 🥲 I agree with the person who said dog hats are a cool new market. Who doesn't love a doggo in a hat. 😍
At first I thought it was tractors. Embroidery machines, amazing, what am I going to do with my little Brother machine?.never used it much, didn't get any teaching on it, but it does lovely work.
I wish I could go again before my time in life passes. There is nothing as breath taking and beautiful to me as the Grand Canyon. No words or photos can describe it. One must see it themselves to get the full majesty of it. Thanks for all the info. Where can you buy any of these things like the Mighty Hoops. I have looked everywhere and can't find them. Again, thanks.
Wow on the DTG machine add on of printing on the white thread, I have this machine and the brother 10 needle and found a work around where I print the outline of the art on the DTG then stop the machine then add the embroidered file like how you would add an appliqué fabric and continue the DTG print job and Voila, it worked but you need to use raw white cotton thread since this machines ink cannot print on polyester. Would I use this in the future once the add on comes out? Probably not because it’s easier to print full color DTG then take the garment to my brother luminaire single needle, use the camera to align the black line embroidered sew out to the DTG art. This is awesome for pocket logos for less thread and weight with less puckering during the wash and dry care.
Hyy mr.john I am a professional embroidery designer and i want to enhance my work experience , could you please help me to do it better in your country ?
Lol… I apprenticed for a decade under Schiffli Masters (first two years on a 1905 manual pantograph one stitch at a time) who trained in the 50’s and 60’s to learn their trade. I’d say they had just a bit of skill to create intricate Schiffli free standing lace patterns.
Yes, of course women were exhibiting. We politely asked each company if someone would be willing do an interview with no specifics on gender. My mother and grandmother successfully ran our business for decades from the 70’s to the early 90’s, we would not be here today if not for strong women in business.
@@MinstrelSaucebecause it matters and is important. It isn't an assumption when you look at a video and all of the people interviewed are men. It would have been nice for equality and representation for women to be interviewed too. I am not blaming the interviewer necessarily as they have already said the companies interviewed put up males to be interviewed. It probably says more about the companies than the interviewer. However, being involved in the textiles industry for more than 30 years I also know many women who would make great spokespeople are pushed aside by male colleagues too.
@@MinstrelSauceSexism remains a pervasive issue that undermines the potential for equality and equity across all sectors. The reaction to calls for equal representation by dismissing them as mere complaints rather than legitimate concerns is part of the problem. It trivialises the systemic barriers women face, especially in industries traditionally dominated by men, including textiles. When only one gender is visible at professional events or in leadership roles, it sends a clear message about who is considered valuable or capable within that field. This lack of diversity not only perpetuates stereotypes but also hinders innovation by excluding diverse perspectives and experiences. The issue is not about preventing one gender from participating but ensuring that all have equal opportunities to contribute and be recognised. Equity and equality are about addressing imbalances and ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender, has the opportunity to succeed. This means actively working to include underrepresented groups in all areas, including leadership positions. When we point out these disparities, we're not "whining"; we're advocating for a more inclusive and equitable environment. Criticising efforts to highlight and address gender imbalance does nothing to promote equality; instead, it reinforces the status quo and undermines efforts to create more diverse and effective industries. The argument that one might complain about an all-female panel at an adult video convention similarly misses the point. The goal is to challenge and change the systemic biases that limit opportunities based on gender. So yes, you are allowed to complain if everyone interviewed at an adult film convention was female. Equality and equity in representation matter across all industries because they reflect and influence societal values and norms. By dismissing concerns about gender representation, we ignore the broader issue of sexism and miss out on the benefits that true diversity brings to any field.
Fantastic! Thanks for taking us into the show and showing us so many new possibilities in the world of embroidery.
As always, thank you to the Deer Family for sharing and keeping us informed.
Our pleasure!
This is my job. I've been doing embroidery for 34 years. Currently working with a 15 head machine. I love my job
That is awesome!

I’m in awe! Great to see how far embroidery can go! I don’t use my simple domestic machine enough. This is inspirational! ❤ Thanks!
Thanks for watching, I was amazed
Thanks for sharing! The color reel system is going to be a game changer. But out of financial reach for small embroiders.
Yes, it is very cool and out is of most peoples budget. Would need to be a very calculated investment within a focused market.
I'm really sad that I didn't get to see you and thank you in person for all that you have taught me. Hope you enjoyed it.
It was a great show, hopefully our paths will cross in the future :)

Any idea if that zsk running at 2k stitcher per min is more of a marketing ploy? I have a tajima and although it can run 1k stitches per min, I run it at 750 or so.
Great video, loved the family clips at the end.
Thanks 👍

Wow 🤩 that product from Siser is amazing, my mind is going into overdrive 😂
There was so many great things to see at that show, can’t wait till next year :)
I have been using R&A threads since 2000. Excellent colors, strength and durability.
Agreed, we used RA way back in the Schiffli days and when we had our multi-heads running in production using Rayon.
Sir can I work with you so that i can gain my work experience. I am a embroidery designer.
My favorite embroidery thread is Madeira!
😮wow that Chenille artwork 😮😮😮😮
Awesome info as always, Madeira thread rules!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Glad you enjoyed it
Hey John, thanks for the great tour. Wish I could have made it.
Hopefully next year :)
Exciting the little dog hats, love it!
Great niche product!
I have the shoe clamp. I mostly do canvas shoes. I do love the pup lid idea too cute.
Add another niche to your arsenal :)
14:40 HOLY PUFF 😳
Crazy how much dimension those machine create.
Wow! It really was a great show! The dog hats are adorable (how would you embroider them?), the chenille combo machine is a game-changer, and the racer is epic! I wish there was a home version of the coloreel! Maybe someday...
My thoughts are small patches for the dog hats, amazing machines…
Awe, I was there as well, and would have loved meeting you in person! I ordered one of the ZSK machines at the show. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. That being said, do you do chenille digitizing ?
Maybe our paths will cross in the future. I did do some chenille digitizing many years ago for a couple of customers, very specialized niche.
How do you like your ZSK? I owned the Sprint 6 and only good things to say!
Awesome episode. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching :)
Hello Mr. Deer are there any new machines available now? I really enjoyed watching wish I could’ve attended

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!

Madiera - here in Poland - I use it a lot as well as Isacord.
Very, very cool!
Thank you! Cheers!
Bro you can get a holder for that DJI mic. It looks just like a wireless mic, like the mic drop video's.
Great video, I love the content .
Many thanks :)

Thanks for watching :)
Wow 2000 stitches a minute on that ZSK machine is amazing! I’d very much like to know what brand of thread he was using on that machine?
I’m pretty sure is was a specific recycled polyester thread provided by Madeira.
Thank you for stopping and talking a bit!
So cool
Great to finally meet you, hopefully our paths will cross again :)
Wow!
Super!!!!!🌟👌🏼👏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼
Thanks for watching :)

Ooo are u gonna be in the alantic city one? Would love to meet you there
Unfortunately not on the schedule for this year, hope to meet you in the future.
Omg, omg, where is the embroidery?
What's new by Tajima?
Hoping Tajima will give us a guided tour next year, fingers crossed :)
Rally interesting and mind-blowing. I wish to be a sole importer of it and improve youngsters here in Ethiopia, instead of chewing chat.
I know about the companies. Did they introduce any new threads?
Great question, I’ll be sure to make that my focus next year.

A little birdie told me we will have an affiliate link for Mighty Hoops up very soon :)
Hopefully you can emborder by hand on the hats.

That's a clever workaround! It's great that you found a way to combine the DTG and embroidery on your machine :)
That is a true dad it does not matter your children's age. You want to protect them.
Some things never change :)
RA is my favorite thread brand
Great thread!
I am amazed how few women featured in this video about embroidery!
Agreed, by no means intentional :)
Guys like the big gadgets... What can you do?
I bet John is in hog heaven seeing all this new items.
Yes, it was amazing… like a kid in a candy store :)
I would've freaked out if i met you. Fan girl for life.
Appreciate your support, thanks for your kind words :)
I wonder if Angela Jasmina was there. I love watching her videos.
dude, you have to ask him about the miniature shirts. i must have them in all colors and NOW
Hi Paul ,I have a brother, got no training on it . What a shame.
Love Madeira threat but their quality in packaging have changed …
Good
😊
Hyy mr.john
I am a professional embroidery designer and i want to enhance my work experience , could you please help me to do it better in your country ?
Yah thing was humming 2k stitches per min.
Crazy fast!
Long Beach is
Need embroidery job
I am embroidery not for earning , just for relax myself )
Totally NO SKILL REQUIRED!
My mom used to embroider freehand on a sewing machine. Mostly her own designs.
The things on here are not embroidery.

Somebody has too much time on their hands
Industrial embroidery machine the title should be, not embroidery 🤔🤔🤔
