- In this video (shot earlier in the season) The Douglas Sky G Fly rod gets another test but, this time, a new stretch of water on a lowland stream. What I was hoping to find was some quality brown trout. I was not disappointed. www.flyshop.co...

Great fishing trip and a few beauties were landed too, good looking Brownies, thanks and thumbs up,, Tony.
Thank Tony. Your comments are much appreciated as always. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Couple of beers went down nicely during that watch. Skinny water with some big fish. Great film as always 👊
Im glad your beers went down well during the video. Thanks again for watching.
watching that first fish...awesome!
Yeah, few snags in that first pool, but the fish behaved pretty well. Thanks for watching.
Epic morning bro. Great size fish for such a small waterway. Mmmmmm salami for lunch😜😜
Yeah, there's always a pretty cool feeling in skinny waters like this and seeing good-sized fish feeding away in front of your eyes. I love small streams like this. As for the salami sticks, not the most appetizing lunch you'll wish to see, but sometimes on the river, quick and easy is best, lol. Although on occasions, I find it hard to pass up taking my wee portable gas cooker and treating myself to a good steak or some homemade patties! Cheers, mate.
@@HighcountryFlylife haha I hear ya mate.
Beautiful stream
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching
Some real pretty trout there my friend and scrappy as heck! Awesome combo!
Cheers, buddy. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I see you have some new ice fishing footage I want to catch up on, too. Tonight, I shall tune in.
@Highcountry Flylife Yup, been trying it for the last couple years and it's been a great way to pass the winter. Our seasons are opposite, but something tells me you probably never get ice there?
@Master Crow Outdoors No, it never gets cold enough here to do it. Definitely not safely anyway. Our winters are cold enough for us temperature wise, haha, but they'd be nothing like what you guys have over there. Opportunities for ice fishing over there is wide spread.
What a awesome day brother. Catching straight beauties man. 6lb was a thick ass healthy fish. Had a great time brother, thank you taking the time to video this trip man.
👊💀🍻
No worries, brother, and thank you for watching. It was a much longer video than usual on my channel
Nice smaller stream with good sized browns, nice work 👍
Cheers buddy. I love these kind of waters
That's a cool piece of water and it's always a bonus when you find some good fish. That spring creek looks awesome
Yeah, the Spring Creek was a nice little discovery, but it's even better to cast at a fish and land it.
Great adventure!
Thanks for watching, buddy. Just a question for you where did you come across my video just out of interest?
@@HighcountryFlylife I´m subbed to your channel. All the best from Argentina.
nice one my friend
Thank you! Cheers!
Good on you mate, Great fishing. Really enjoyed that. I just love these types of streams...I need to get out and explore a few more.... :) Not much time left this season. :(
These streams challenge you with so much structure around, but seeing good-sized browns in small waters like this never gets old. Season is fading away fast. Before you know it, she'll be all over. Cheers for watching, mate.
L59, watching again here , wow crystal clear water , ❤❤❤
What camera you using to film the video with bro? Nice piece of film.
@FishingForeverFilms Did you notice a difference in camera, bro? I use a handy cam now, bro. I've been tinkering with it for the next video that will go up to keep it more steady. Good old kiwi ingenuity to make it work while on the walk. They sound heaps better than the GoPros in my 'opinion' and more reliable. They don't overheat on a warm day. Cheers buddy
Some great fish there mate. Hope you weren't impacted by that cyclone... Devastating seeing the footage
Cheers mate, quite a long video this one so sorry about that lol. And no lucky for us we are in the South Island of New Zealand. All the destruction has been in the North Island . The likes of the Hawkes Bay got hit hard. Auckland a bit too. But yeah it's devastating alright.
@@HighcountryFlylife glad it missed you but the impact seems to be pretty huge.
@Tasdaz Downunder lives were lost and the damage and the cost to repair everything will be in the billions and will take years
@@HighcountryFlylife it's very sad mate
@@TasdazDownunder indeed it is mate. Such as life you never know what's round the corner for you..
