I am Jain I didn't know till I get college that Jainism and Hinduism are different, We were never taught these things by our Gurus or Family members ever... We always prayed Shiv ji, Krishna Ji, Devi maa and Ganesh ji with Our 24 tirthankars... I wonder where this came from?

Look at the list of senior leaders of Hindu organisations like RSS and VHP and you’ll see many Jains there. Sikhs and Buddhists, however, are legally still recognised as Hindus. Although certain groups (like Neo-Buddhists aka Ambedkarites) have protested this. My personal opinion is that these are panths. Just like how Arya Samaj is a panth (a reformist Hindu movement) and not a separate religion.

I read an article were it was mentioned that Sikhs, Buddhist and Jain were are part of Sanatan Dharma until the 1990's.
They are still a indivisible sub segment of sanatan dharm.
No khalistani cessassionist can divide them from their matrbhumi and dharma.
I am Jain I didn't know till I get college that Jainism and Hinduism are different, We were never taught these things by our Gurus or Family members ever... We always prayed Shiv ji, Krishna Ji, Devi maa and Ganesh ji with Our 24 tirthankars... I wonder where this came from?
Legally speaking, Jains were recognised as a separate religion in 2006 and given the tag of minority religion in 2014.
However, practically speaking, (most) Jains see themselves as Hindu. Look at the list of senior leaders of Hindu organisations like RSS and VHP and you’ll see many Jains there.
Sikhs and Buddhists, however, are legally still recognised as Hindus. Although certain groups (like Neo-Buddhists aka Ambedkarites) have protested this.
My personal opinion is that these are panths. Just like how Arya Samaj is a panth (a reformist Hindu movement) and not a separate religion.
