- According to an Ipsos poll conducted exclusively for Global News, about one third of Canadians are less likely to feel proud of their Canadian identity compared to five years ago. The survey also reveals that seven out of 10 Canadians agree with Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre's statement that Canada is "broken." #Canada #Canadaday #poll
Canada was a great country, but we have the worst leadership.
Proud to be Canadian, not proud of the leadership we have
The housing market certainly is. I feel sorry for the younger generation trying to afford a home.
We’ll figure something out ;)

@@goleafsgo00 which would be? Get rich suddenly?
We love our country but our idealism is choking us
Canada is definitely broken. How can you possibly deny that it's not
You actually just « denied that it’s not. »
Canada has become a country of convenience.
Canada is broken we need to fly Canadian flag not gay not Pakistan or others flag CANADA CANADA FLAG
Oh come on, you know you love the gay flag.
It’s embarrassing
Don’t even feel like I’m in Canada anymore a third world country
Have you been to an actual third world country? I bet not, they are not that bad and people are probably happier and content than most "Canadians"
@@CurtHegel Not really. Third world countries struggle with real problems like war, hunger, crop failure and economic collapse. Canadians whining about the price of gas doesn’t compare.
@patricktruelove464 I know and fully agree. Alot of people from less fortunate countries are not as entitled as some Canadian are.
@@patricktruelove464if you don’t think the Canadian economy is collapsing, you need to reevaluate the situation at food banks across the country, because it’s pretty apparent it is
I’ve been to an actual third world country myself(Brazil), and yes while Canada may not have the crime there it mirrors a lot of other problems and crime is on the rise here, while maybe not third, Canada is deffs in second world country status now, how much longer before liberals admit their government was a complete failure? Or do we actually have to get to third world status for that to finally come
@@thebroketraveller9601 Well, reality begs to differ. Food banks notwithstanding, Canada’s economy is growing. Employment is strong. Inflation is easing . Wages are up. We’re finally making some progress on climate. We have peace, security and a respected place in the G7. Poilievre likes to diss our country, but Canada routinely places in the top three spots in international rankings. Our main problems are inequality and home prices, both of which would get worse if we elect a conservative government.
Def broken, dont feel that spirit maybe back in the 90s early 2000s
With the younger generation emotionally fragile and u stable. We need hoardes of therapists
Canada has become a sad place
A broken Country is the cause of a broken Government that Creates a Broken Pride.❌ 💯💖👍🙏
And here global is not even asking why Canadians feel that way, I bet you it’s because they know the majority would say it’s because of Trudeau and his government

Black Face Justin doesn't even know what a Canadian is. He's been canceling all Canada day events for years. How can the rest of Canada feel? Justin must go!!!
What days did he cancel?
The year we found out of the Indigenous burials children at schools. He stopped for several years.

@@jccarriere3719It was toned down but not canceled.
Love this country and damn proud of it. Disgusted by our current government and state of affairs.
Canada is done for!!!
Big time, this place is a joke.
Won't be celebrating Canada day for the first time in my life. We shouldn't be ashamed to be Canadian, Trudeau and the Liberals should.
Be ashamed to be Canadian if you end up voting for them again.
The new trend is to blame the government and take no self responsibility
When Poilievre becomes PM, Canadians when learn a new level of disappointment
Absolutely broken
Annexation pls 🙏
Even lower in America.
52% of the population in Canada isn't born here. Think that might also be an issue
I was on a world cruise. Only Russia, china and Saudi Arabia are not broken. Every other country feels it’s broken, especially democracies.
It's not a democracy when you're forced to stay home and take medication to be a part of society
With respect, you sound insane.
@@patricktruelove464 yes, in democracy we have choice to address our concerns. In those countries they are put behind bars or killed. We are lucky to have a choice. Now we can fix it.
Still a very proud Canadian, the one thing that hurts me is that growing up in Canada we were taught of the importance of the Canadian flag. The Remembrance Day in high school educated us how many teenage kids that were (14 may be even younger)went and sacrificed their lives for this country during WWII. Now we got pride flag flying right beside the Canadian flag which seems so disrespectful. Our leadership is not firm and holds Canadian value up to par. They bend over backwards for every one.
The pride flag shows that Canada is a friendly, tolerant country where we respect each others’ differences. What’s wrong with that?
@@patricktruelove464 The pride flag doesn’t show that. The Canadian flag shows that. The Canadian flag allows the pride flag to be around. Because of the past sacrifices of all the great Canadians. Pride flag only represents a certain group that believes in its ideology. Canadian flag represents the entire nation. It should have its own respected platform.
@@Tiredofeveryonecomplaining Think about a rainbow. All different colours, each one beautiful but taken together it creates something even more wonderful. Do you see where this is going? The pride flag is not about one group. It’s about everybody, a perfect partner to the maple leaf. I’m sorry if your vision of Canada is one of exclusion, because you’re going to be increasingly disappointed.
@@patricktruelove464 I never stated anything about exclusion. But I’ll stop this conversation because you seem to be from a completely different world
@@Tiredofeveryonecomplaining We all share the same world. Happy Canada Day and best wishes.
I want my Canada back!
Okay

Canada is broken , I'm not proud of anything either there is all kinds of negatives and Canadians get harsh treatment leaving canada is the only option make another country heaven. Manitoba , Saskatchewan , Alberta and vancouver needs new leadership . Hahaha
Don't forget Ontario
Yep!
News like this is ridiculous. Where was this poll taken from? I find surveys like this are not conducted nationally. The government isn't able to keep their own House in order. So I really don't take to heart any of the party leaders or the other MP's are saying.
No one thinks it isn’t broken.
We can no longer turn a Blind Eye. Canadians are aware the Canadian Government is Corrupt and is beyond Broken💯💯💖👍❌
It was an IPSOS poll which is globally recognized. According to MacLean's Magazine, IPSOS has approximately a 1% error rate. Do with that information what you will.

In order to "celebrate", a nation needs tangible accomplishments to highlight... Team Trudeau has focused on dismantling Canadian values, sowing dissent, nationwide division and making Canadians hate their heritage through displays of half-mast flags, flag swapping and relentless historical shaming. That and we've lost trust in our institutions, government, spending and media ...so yeah... "Canada is actually broken"... and it CAN be attributed to 10 years of Trudeau ideology and lack of tangible production of anything useful

Indeed, however inflation is only a factor in the rise of foodbank usage. Also, it's happening in nations around the world that did what Justin's government did, and spent far too much money in a short space of time.
Why have multiple types of serious offenses increased exponentially since Justin formed government?
