"Selig sind die Toten"
Sung by Members of Philharmonia Chorale
For those of us who participated in Philharmonia's virtual Gala: Music is Essential, we all experienced an overwhelming sense of joy, love, and gratitude - expressed so beautifully through each and every performance. And the feeling was palpable among our audience whose messages in the chat box could barely contain a sense of triumph, catharsis, and unadulterated glee.
We are thrilled to share this week's Musical Postcard, a wonderful performance from the Philharmonia Chorale - a virtual amalgam of voices at a distance that come together for a stunning performance of Schütz's "Selig sind die Toten." To hear the collective and transcendent voice of the Philharmonia Chorale after more than a year was something to behold.
As we begin to make our way out into the world again, I extend my heartfelt thanks for sticking with us and for tuning in.
Love Schütz! Beautiful!
